He nodded in response to her question before settling back to listen to the Headmaster. Unlike Reta, however, he bore no reaction to the news except for a slight narrowing of his eyes. Falcon had not been alive for the last war, but the stories his mother told had always been... well, interesting, if one could put it that way. And this did sound a bit like the Dark Lord's work, but honestly... it was about time for the next rising of some evil overlord. After all, the Wizarding community usually had one sprout out within fifty years of the last one's falling, and they were certainly more than halfway there.
"We tell them she got transferred, of course."
He had always been a logical thinker. And now was not the time to send the students into panic--not when they didn't even know what they were dealing with yet.
"Her father is an Auror, isn't he? Perhaps he's been sent away to... ah... South America?... for some form of political transaction. It's a very delicate post, however, so she had to leave immediately and none of the students are allowed to contact her. They wouldn't want to put her in danger, would they?"
The Sorting Hat, long ago, had told him that he would do just as well in Slytherin as Ravenclaw. His choice had been Ravenclaw simply because his mother's had been, but it didn't mean he didn't retain some of the cunning quality of the emerald house. He just wasn't sure how this group would take to a more underhanded method of dealing with the situation, even if it was the only one that wouldn't cause mass chaos.
