Misthalin Memories Teaser Demo 2.20 |
| Posted by Rasenore - 06-12-09 20:17 - 0 comments |
 |
Well a new update is out. It adds more stuff and overall makes the demo more enjoyable, but it still has a while to go for the complete version I have the image of for the teaser demo. That being said, it should be much more playable now, so I hope you enjoy it.
For more information on installing the game or newer versions, or for what the update actually does view the thread.

Misthalin Memories - TEASER Demo Version 2.0 |
| Posted by Rasenore - 03-8-09 17:03 - 0 comments |

Well yeah, making patches only messed up other things, one thing lead to another, and I ended up with alot of errors because I was personally too lazy to test stuff and too rushed.
Here we go, Misthalin Memories: Fragment 1 - The Legend TEASER Demo Version 2.0 download links. Any updates will be included here too. Also, Version 2.0 already contains the first update I intended, which was revamp the Dungeon Map designs since I basically auto'd that stuff. Expect GOOD designs inside Dungeons too now.

Misthalin Memories - Teaser Demo Released! |
| Posted by Rasenore - 02-25-09 22:45 - 10 comments |
 |
Well the release is here. See the bottom of the post for links.
Don't expect too much, the game is still in the design stage and I'm using RPGMakers awful battle system. Expect better for the actual thing, this is just a teaser.
Remember if you get any bugs, report them to the Misthalin Memories section, Demo thread of the forum and I'll fix them ASAP. I haven't tested it afterall. - (Mediafire Link)
If you got a version of this game before this update (before you read me telling you this) then I suggest you redownload this and install in the same directory. It'll update your files to a fully working one, and should be bug free. |

A bit of help? |
| Posted by Rasenore - 02-22-09 20:03 - 4 comments |

With the release date of a mini-mini-mini Misthalin Memories Fragment 1 demo coming up real soon (real soon being 3 days to this post, with only two more days I can work on it) I'm going to have to ask a little help.
Basically, all this constant work is actually killing my genius-level creative abilities. I can't think of anything that won't be too much work.
So this is where you come in. I need you to just spam ideas for missions and quests. Spam them. Don't give me rewards or dialogue. Ideas. Premise. Summaries. Scenarios. Whatever works.
Just get me some, or expect another delay.
==EDIT FOR INFORMATION YOU MAY NEED== Main character is named: Katraal One City Map, One Town Map Four dungeons. Three spells. One Other Race: Cownese! Lack of proper interaction, but I can still add a couple of choices unique per NPC.
GO! |

Demo Release Date |
| Posted by Rasenore - 02-13-09 13:51 - 3 comments |

Well it's probably about time I gave something like this out.
Misthalin Memories - Fragment 1: The Legend Demo will be released on the 25th of February, 2009. Regardless if it is complete or incomplete. Note: release date may vary depending on upload time, but that's when I'll start uploading or try to.
Details of the Demo: - Set in Northern Hien, Kintyre Region - First three story missions of the game. - Three party members, and maybe one extra to be unlocked. - Over fifty items to obtain. A rewarding code will be given if you do get them all. - Two dungeons minimum, and at least one field map. - Two settlements, City of Kintyre and Town of Nessver. - Original soundtrack exclusive to Misthalin Memories including several retro-sounding MIDI tracks and a couple of mp3 tracks. - Will NOT include: CBS, CMS, our-special-Interaction System, other regions, all items, etc. etc.
Note that the dialogue and story may change as this is still the game during the damn design stage, but at least it lets yeh see some of what is planned.
I'll also try to get a mini-manual done for the demo. It is unknown at this time whether we'll actually have a manual and Calender System implemented. If the Calender System isn't used, I'll try to make a demo update with it later, just so you can see it while it works. If I miss the manual, I'll make a short guide in the Misthalin Memories - Demo section of the forum. |

Misthalin Memories Demo, Is It Actually COMING?! |
| Posted by Rasenore - 01-29-09 20:17 - 3 comments |

Yes, yes it is. I'm already near enough 25% of the way through. Which is good progress considering the damn work needed for it.
Unfortunatly it won't contain the Battle System or Menu System that the actual game will use, so expect unbalanced battles since the engine I use is pure messed up. Otherwise though expect something that SHOULD be fun. If it isn't, make sure you downloaded the right game.
This one will just be the first three story missions of Act 1, so there won't be much in choice, particularily in that the Interaction System is yet to be implimented, that's still in the design stage.
But yeah, good news especially for Dralel. Now to hurry and finish up the main game, release it, get famous, and become a God. Oh yeah. |

A Konaku Wiki has been established to keep information on our projects easier to hold. As of now we have a website to display public information, a forum to discuss the information or other stuff, an IRC Channel for Project Discussions (eg. plotlines and new characters and the like), a Blog to write updates and opinions, and now finally a Wiki for Project Information.
The wiki can be found here. |

End a Debate |

Right, please say what was the smarter thing here.
Say there is one person guarding a target that you have to collect. Behind you is the goal to take the target, but it's up really high (you need to climb ladders to it). On that roof where the goal is, there are three people (and the target is right next to hit). You are all alone with full health, and there are also two people unaccounted for, running around searching for you. You don't have any proper guns, just a tranquillizer handgun, which you need to basically reload after each shot, basically. The other guys all have guns however to shoot you down and kill you (guns like P90 and M4). Your left ear is dead as well, so sometimes you can't hear guys that are hunting you down.
Choice A: Grab the target, hoping that you can get the target before they get a lucky headshot on youProblems: The guy guarding the target may kill you. There are two guys you don't know the location of. You could bump into them while running towards the target causing you to be shot by more than just the one, reducing chances of survival even more. OR you could be caught by them while trying to hide. Advantage: The chances are because the target is right next to the goal you will win the round but as above they could get a lucky headshot on you. Choice B: Try to knock out the guys guarding the roof Problems: One of the uncalled-for guys may kill you while you aim at the guard. Requires great skill to shoot the pistol from a distance. Advantage: If you manage to knock them all out you win the round or if you cant get them all take out enough to try and get the target.
So yeah, what do you think? |
