[Uchiha Sora]

The table was of a stained wood, cherry she thought. Her white hands stood out in stark contrast against the elegantly carved woodwork. From her seat in the middle of the table Sora could easily see everyone in the group. Directly across from her was Aurora, her team leader. On her left was Ito-san and the seat to her right was taken up by Daichi-chan.

Despite their many differences in style and appearance, everyone looked eerily similar tonight. On each face, including her own, was a hint of confusion and anxiousness. Every mind was wondering the same things; where were they? when where they? how would they get home?

They were certain they were in Konoha. Several landmarks dotted familiar territory. Places they had grown up, and considered ancient, were still there. But they were new, and some were even incomplete. From there they had established they were in the past. How it had happened, well, that was a long story. It was a stupid mistake, and Sora blamed Aurora for it. Because he was their leader, and he had failed them. This time it wasn't funny.

"How will we determine the year?" She asked, desperately looking to change the subject. Talking to the group in general was not her strongpoint. She tended to be one of the quieter members. This was an exception though. There were question that needed to be asked. And if she were the only one to voice them, then so be it.

[Tsunami Aurora]

"Well," Aurora said as he put his chopsticks down and stoped eating, "Spike and I can find that out easy." He looked up at Sora, and grinned. Her long shiny hair was pinned up. It made her bright blue eyes stand out. Are maybe it was the blue kimono she was wearing. Either way she looked scared standing at the table trying to give a speech. Aurora knew that she could not do it on her own. Besides he was used to given speeches to Team Tsunami, after all it is his team. Aurora then said "So you leave that to us," as he took another bit of sushi.


Knowing Spike was going to gladly agree, Aurora began to share his idea with the rest of the team. "Well Spike and I are going to go get something to eat, okay?" He said as he finished eating "We will try to come up with a good reason not to know the year and hopefully they will correct us." He scratched his head and smiled. "Does any one want to come with us." He asked as he and Spike walked toward the front door.

As Aurora spoke up Sora could not deny a few feelings of doubt. There had been a time when she could rely on him without a worry. She had always been loyal, and she still was, but things were different now. It seemed that the team in whole had grown up, but their leader had not. He was always more mature then they, but these days he seemed silly and a bit childish. For instance, his blatant disregard for reason. Only his own thoughts were ever right, and his naive trust had gotten them all into trouble.

A wicked little thought had been creeping into her head. She was starting to feel reluctant towards relying on him. And to be honest, at the moment, she was angry with him. His recent decisions had been rather unreasonable, after all.

"I wish to go with you." Sora said, rising from her seat. He had made the offer, and she was going to take it. Morale was a bit low, everyone was depressed and confused. She didn't trust Aurora to keep a low profile, and right now that was very necessary. So the only solution was for Sora to go along with him and make sure he kept himself in check. As well as to find a more suitable way to find out the date. Besides, being outside would help clear her mind, and maybe some of her doubts in the leader she had once respected above all else.

With silent footsteps she caught up to Aurora and Spike in the hall. "Maybe we should visit the library, Tatsuo." She offered up, using a nickname she had given him years ago. "They would have an almanac. We can just ask for the newest one, and it will have the year printed on the cover."

There were a million things going on, too many to think about for sure. At least, too much to ponder without getting a massive headache. Jade listened intently as a few feeble ideas flew around. Even though Aurora was her twin, Jade felt that they were entirely different. Especially now, when she could easily agree that Sora's idea was better than that of her brother. "I think that we should use Sora's idea," She said aloud. "We can use a genjutsu to look like the people in the village and walk around town without being known." Perhaps her favoring Sora's plan had something to do with her own abilities. Everyone knew that Jade Tsunami was one of the most talented genjutsu users ever born. Standing up she quickly joined Sora and Aurora. No matter what they decided to do, they would need her help.

With a smile Aurora shook his head. They always underestimated him. "So you just assume that will work?" He chuckled, "I wish you'd give me more credit. Spike has already used his Byakugan and scanned the library for an almanac." Aurora studied the floor, unable to hide his disappointment. "There were none to be found." Of course, he realized that his team was doubting him. He needed to explain his reasoning to them to regain their trust. "I came up with the idea of going to find something to eat. Then I could fall off of my seat, or be accidentally knocked off. I can pretend to be unconscious while Spike tries to wake me. At which point I can seem startled and ask, Were am I?, What year is this?"

Aurora had been certain his plan was a good one. His teams doubt made him worry, however. Maybe they saw a flaw he had failed to notice? Or did they simply think it wouldn't be that easy? "If anyone has a better idea, I'm listening." He said, stopping mid step. His hand was on the doorknob and he spoke to the room in general. His eyes, however, where on Sora and Jade, since they seemed to be the only ones really against his idea.

Something like relief began to ebb through Sora's veins. She felt it pass through her chest vanquishing the cold restraints of doubt. Breathing became a little easier, and the shiver in her knees went away. With Jade standing by her side Sora felt stronger. Secretly, Jade was her version of a role model. To have the older girl agreeing with her idea, over that of her brother, was empowering. It gave her an extra boost of confidence.

Another factor in her growing ease of mind was Aurora himself. He had already covered his bases. She had been wrong in thinking he was being unreasonable. Certainly, he could have come up with a better plan B. Just the fact that this was his alternative method returned some of her respect for him. As he made his way to the door she followed without needing acknowledgment. He hadn't told her to stay, so she took that as an invitation.

When he questioned the team for better ideas she noticed his eyes were on herself and Jade. She felt guilty suddenly. He knew that she had doubted him, and it made her heart skip a beat. Not in the pleasant way, though. Was he angry with her? Somehow she didn't find his eye held animosity. "A newspaper. Let us go and buy a newspaper." That was her best bit of brilliance. The date would be on the front page. So they really would only have to look at it. Which was best, just encase their money was different from the money of this age.

"Thats a great idea" she said as she glanced at Aurora with hope of a nod of approval. But some how she felt that aurora would have already came up with that plan as well. It was normal for him to have at lest 7 or 8 plans so it is hard to think of what kind of situation we had to have been in to not have that as the main plan.

He smiled as the thought of them coming up with yet an other plan that he had already coverved came across his mind. "Well" he said with evil grin pasted across his face. "If you want to wate till the next paper comes out, then sure we can do that" knowing that the last paper had already been took from the newspaper stand. "Spike has already cheaced that too." He said in dismay. "Any more plans that may stop me from making a scene." He said with sarcarsm (but not in a mean way)
