Summer 6, year 1
Teresa got up in the morning, it was her birthday but she didn’t want to get out of bed, she would be older and she didn’t want to, although she got out of bed and looked at the crystal that Andrew had given her, it was a beautiful one and she was glad that Samuel didn’t ask her who gave her that, if he knew it had been Andrew he would kill both Andrew and herself, and that was something she didn’t want, to her Andrew was a good friend and she likes talking to him, he has some silly jokes but that’s what makes them funny.
Teresa got up from bed and got dressed, she was wearing her normal summer cloths, a sleeveless shirt, shorts and boots, although this shirt was slightly open and her scar was very visible, Teresa assumed that being only with her brothers it wouldn’t be a problem, but she didn’t want to tell Andrew what happened to her, it wasn’t just painful remembering the day, in her mind it was a bit stupid, as a farmer she should have been more careful when opening the barn’s door. She tied her hair in a long braid and went to the kitchen. Today’s cook was Christopher, the only that can actually cook an eatable meal.
After eating her breakfast she went outside to work in her garden, not to mention on the field that needed to be cleaned and arranged, not to mention she needed to plant some crops this season.

Andrew walked at a brisk pace towards the Delaine fields. It had taken him an hour to find it, but when he did, he had no trouble getting there. As he examined the necklace he had made out of a grey weave from one of his old shirts and a wolf claw, Andrew felt a small bit of shame that he had nothing better to give her. But he had given her one of his fire crystals, so hopefully this would suffice. When he walked onto the fields, Andrew saw Teresa tending to her garden. Quickening his stride and taking longer, lithe steps, Andrew was behind Teresa and holding out the necklace before she could turn around. "Hey Teresa, happy birthday! I hope you don't mind a tacky gift, but I haven't seen a single gift shop in town. I wish I could do better, but this is what I had to make for ya." Andrew said with a smile spreading across his face.

Teresa was tending her garden, she realized that the garden was uncared, she's been doing other things that she didn't even realize that her garden was full of weeds. Taking off the weeds and watering the flowers she didn't notice when someone was behind her, obviously anyone would think that she was crazy when she started talking to the flowers like they were babies, it's proved that when people talk with plants they grow bigger and stronger, but to tell the truth, it is a bit crazy talking to plants, at least the way she talks to them.
When Andrew talked Teresa yelled as she turned, falling on her back, it was sort of a habit having Andrew scaring her like that, for a while she didn't say a thing. Getting up as fast as she could, and taking the dirt of her shorts and her shirt, that was when she realized that the shirt was a little to large and her scar was visible, as she saw it she untied her hair to cover it up. She didn't mind having it, she just doesn't want to answer questions that might bring buried memories.
"Don't scare me!!" she said tapping Andrew on the arm "If I die from a heart attack I will come back from hell to kick you!! That's a promise!" she said with a slight laugh on her face, obviously she was joking with Andrew. Finally processing what he said to her she paid attention to the necklace, true, it was a tacky gift but she isn't fan of big sparkling things, and, just because it's tacky doesn't mean it's horrible.
"I love it! And it's not that that tacky! By the way! How did you know it was my birthday?! I didn't tell you! Oh and the arm is just fine, they didn't notice it!!" She said as she showed the bite to Andrew, it was almost unnoticed. After a few seconds Teresa looked at Andrew and realized that she didn't thank him for the present. "Thanks, you didn't have too! I didn't invite you to bring me a present! I simply like your company!!" she said as she hugged Andrew, in a thanking way, not realizing how her last sentence sounded in the end.

"I kinda guessed it was your birthday when you told me to come over. I realize that it's not the fanciest thing around town, but thanks for not saying it was horrible. Oh looky, Samuel has spotted me. And Lyra is in there too. Well, birthday girl, it's gonna be a good day for you!" Andrew said as he noticed Samuel looking at him and Teresa, with Lyra behind him. The day was going to be interesting, he knew that for sure. Andrew waved at them and looked back at Teresa. He might have just given the present and left, but now it seems he would stay simply to irritate Samuel. As he wondered what would happen next, Andrew looked down at the bite mark on Teresa's arm, which was fading rapidly. Then Teresa thanked him for the present. "Oh, it was no problem, I just hope that it'll be durable enough to last a while."

Teresa looked at Andrew and smiled "But it's not horrible!" she said as she looked at Andrew and then at the window where she saw her brother, he didn't seem very happy to see Andrew with his sister, but he had to behave, he didn't invite him but if Teresa did he had to accept it, but that didn't mean the he had to be completely polite. Crossing her arms Teresa looked at her brother and at the girl behind him, she didn't know the girl, but she didn't mind knowing her brother's new acquaintance. __________________________ Samuel looked through the window and said in a relatively loud voice before turning to Thomas who was sat on a chair looking at Lyra "Tom! What's that idiot doing there!!" Samuel asked as Thomas got up and grabbed Lyra's hand before bowing "First of all. Hello sweetheart, I'm Thomas Delaine and who might you be?" he asked with his charming voice. Meanwhile, coming from the kitchen there was Christopher who was hearing the conversation "She invited him Sam!" he said before turning to the girl "Hello! I'm Christopher Delaine, most commonly known as simply Chris!" he said to the girl before looking at Teresa and Andrew.

Lyra smiled awkwardly at the man who had taken her hand. For obvious reasons, Lyra prefered Samuel to his brother already. Slipping her hand out of his, Lyra quickly slapped the man across the face, keeping her joyful smile.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Lyra Evergreen, the owner of the village General Store." Lyra curtseyed to Thomas, and continued to smile, as if nothing had just occured.
Then, turning to Christopher, Lyra curtseyed again, but didn't slap him as he greeted her in a proper manner. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well." Looking out the window herself, Lyra could see that Samuel wasn't fond of Andrew. Lyra wasn't quite sure why, but obviously it would be troublesome as the day went on.
Grabbing Samuel's sleeve, Lyra made a suggestion. "Perhaps you should put that cake in the kitchen so your sister doesn't see it, first." Hopefully that would distract Samuel from his rage. And, hiding the cake in the meantime was necessary as well.

As Andrew watched Lyra slap Teresas brother and almost laughed before he realized that he was around Teresa. The laughter quelled, he waited for Teresa to look back at him. "Well, maybe we should go inside the house and get your birthday party started? I mean, maybe the chores can wait until your party stops?" Andrews smile meant to say that it was a no rush situation, for he was not quite that eager to go meet up with Samuel, though Christopher and Thomas, he did not worry about so much. It was interesting that Lyra showed up here, but it was possible she had met either Teresa or one of her brothers. In all likelyhood, Teresa had known Lyra before she had known him. As it seemed that Samuel would burst through the door and chase him down, Andrew slowly hovered his hand above his pocket, where his blade usually sat. Upon remembering he had left it at home, however, he casually lowered his hand to his side. He started a slow walk towards the house and carefully stepped around the plants that had been missed barely by him upon his entrance.

Thankfully, Samuel listened to Lyra's advice, and brought the cake into the kitchen. Lyra sighed inwardly, as she was happy to have avoided some trouble. Seeing Andrew walk in with the obvious birthday girl, Lyra curtseyed to the two of them, as the Delaine brothers welcomed Andrew. Standing back up straight, Lyra turned to Teresa.
"Happy Birthday. I know we haven't met yet, but Samuel invited me." Holding out her hand, Lyra continued. "I'm Lyra Evergreen. I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of me from now on. I help out with a lot of the village events, and I run the general store."
Then turning to Andrew, Lyra smiled again. "It's nice to see you again, Andrew. How have you been doing?" Lyra couldn't remember the last time she saw him. It was probably last season. Either way, it was nice to see him again. It was also absolutelly wonderful to meet a new villager. Four in one day; it was the last thing Lyra had expected.
