Only played the demo.... still dunno if I want to fork out for yet another mulitplayer game that will probably just end up collecting dust.

yeah kat the single player is very good but short. It gets played alot more than ETQW, actually i play on my atari lynx more than i play ET...
bit expensive for the single player content, wot feels like is there jus so dont feel robbed while playin it online! |

I dunno whether to get it through Steam or buy it from Play or somewhere like that.
The retail copy is much cheaper than Steam too; is there any difference/benefit to getting it on Steam? Where'd you get yours from Funky? |

yeah i was in the same position, thought go with steam cos ease of updates and findin friends. Updates are good, but theres no findin friends on servers at all.
So i suppose if u can find it cheaper than steam go for it  |

Yeah kinda like the idea of just being able to d/l it off steam whenever I like - pain in the bum having to find disks each time you reinstall/upgrade.
So how do you find friends on the game? There's no server search like in steam? |
