Had we more time to let things play out, I'd have pitched the idea of a Dusty Finish, whereby something that should have caused a DQ is missed by the ref, and Ryan gets the pin and the title. The show goes off the air just before another ref comes down to explain things, with the decision ultimately reversed to a DQ and announced in a follow-up post the next night. Then the next month have the rematch ending with Nico interference.
Would have been cool and shocking, but probably would have been a bad idea overall to overshadow all the FS storylines for two straight months... |
