Another Year End in the books... Looking back at past year-end, this one got more ballots (27) than the past couple of years, but still less ballots than what I would get for the Mid-Years. Maybe cause the Mid-Years are a shorter ballot? Cause it's summertime? Cause it's easier to think of the past six months rather than a full year?

Anyway, most people filled out at least a portion of every category, which is very good. Women, Matches, and Storylines contiune, though, to lag behind the other Year-End categories in terms of total filled in ballots. The new Feud category, however, was very successful. I did wish I had changed my rule on the category, though, to allow for three-way feuds - there are a couple I merged as I saw the ballots come in, but maybe some entries would have been voted more if people could vote for three or more participants. I just wanted to make sure it was a clear on the participants of a direct feud since some feuds can bleed into one another. The Gotcha Moment category was all over the place... I may not continue that one next year, though it is kind of neat.

The voting did sort of coalesce to three or so feds, so the number of different entries were down, but the voting separation was greater this year.

Here's the numbers:
- 30 different Heels
- 34 different Faces
- 40 different Interviewees
- 33 different Rookies
- 39 different Most Improved
- 36 different Maneuvers
- 24 different Women
- 24 different Managers

If Vasquez can still end up top 5 after taking half the year off, then I'm gonna have him take more vacations!

6 characters in the top 50! Woot!

*Waits for Jeremy to announce he's got 30*

Congrats to all!

2010's award had Gibson in the top 6 or something with a grand total of 4 or 5 PVW releases so, basically, you have to take a full year off.

2 managers in the top 5 was pretty sweet (3 in10 if you count that Jer is using my character Bathwaite).

Obviously I need to bring back more of my manager characters to sweep next year!

4 or 5 releases? That's UWF in a good year!

I'm just glad the Miyuki/Amber Rogers match got recognition. Also, this awards session confirms that cancer-based storylines are in fact, the e-w equivalent of an actor playing the role of a mentally disabled person to win an Oscar.

Which makes me wonder, is Dos, Charlize Theron in Monster or Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump? dontknow.gif

Will these results be what finally drives us into the AWA Attitude Era?

Under Feud of the Year -
8. Frank Knight v. Marcus Manson v. The Spectre (PVW)

That is suppose to be SAMMY Knight.

But, wow .. PVW must of had quite a few handlers vote. AWA had an amazing year.

I've had a blast in AWA .. Cup and Clash were two of the best events I have read in years.

Thanks for the Hoyle votes it! tongue.gif

Robot King #48!!! Long Live the King!

Terry and Jer had a really good year overall lots of guys in voted and recognized. As usual thanks to Bren for putting this together. It does give us a nice little chest pumping out moment at the end if we placed some where. HAH.

Glad people are still enjoying PVW after 4 years. A lot of people have made me look at least average. Rob continues to bail me out ...

All-in-all it's just awesome to see that this circle is still around. I'm not sure I could stomach e-wrestling anywhere else. I am glad to see more leagues popping up .. IPW, IGA, FS, MBC returning ... I am sure I am leaving a few out.

Awesome job all!

A hearty congrats to all my Fighting Spirit handlers and associates who got recognized - Nico Villanova at #87, Hans von Tripp at #73, Ryan Martinez at #69, the promotion as a whole at #9 on the Fed of the Year list, and the Ozaki/Rogers showcase match cracking the top ten matches of the year. Imagine how much we'll win in 2012 when we have a full slate of shows to choose from!'

Your reward is (fingers crossed) a show that'll come out later today!
