I'm alright. Took me 12 hours to get home from work, but that's nothing compared to some of the stuff I'm seeing on TV...

I just read in the news that Japan has actually moved 2,4 meters due to the quake and it even shifted the earth's axis about 10 centimeters. That is... scary stuff. Here's hoping the authorities in the affected areas are prepared enough that they can save as many as possible and minimize the damage done to those caught in the path of this thing.

The most mind-boggling thing to me is the comparison to the New Zealand earthquake. That was a 6.3, this was an 8.9. That doesn't seem like too big a difference at first glance; but I read that the one in Japan was actually 8,000 times more powerful. That's an insane figure.
Prayers are out to everyone in Japan. |
