Character Name: Lenny Getz
Height: 6'01"
Weight: 233 lbs
Hometown: Des Moines, Iowa
Physical Description: Getz has long, blonde hair and blue eyes. He's cut like the wrestlers from the 80's. He's in good shape with some definition and a padding of fat on his back with love handles. He wears black or white standard trunks to the ring, black boots with white laces, and black or white elbowpads and kneepads. He also has finger tape on the fingers on his right hand.

Face/heel/?: Heel

Manager [if applicable]: None

Theme Music: "Twice as Hard" by the Black Crowes

Wrestler Type [brawler/high flyer/etc]: Brawler/Tech mix
What real-life wrestler is your character similar to in the ring?: Buddy Landell

Finisher [normal finisher; the move your guy uses in the standard match to wrap things up]:

1: Corkscrew Elbowdrop - Twisting elbowdrop with theatrics, ususally Getz performing the Getz Strut into the ropes, he'll bounce off, and then delivery the dreaded elbowdrop
2: Piledriver - standard piledriver

Signature Moves [no more than 5 please]:

1: Getz Strut - Fargo Strut named after Lenny
2: DDT
3: Getz Stomp - Garvin Stomp
4: knife-edge chop with "Whoooo" crowd sound effects
5: Abdominal Stretch with cheating theatrics

Other moves [10-25]:

1: back suplex
2: gutwrench suplex
3: vertical suplex
4: double-underhook suplex/butterfly suplex
5: superplex
6: swinging neckbreaker
7: running clothesline
8: Russian legsweep
9: backbreaker
10: inverted atomic drop
11: eye rake
12: face rake
13: low blow
14: eye poke
15: choke hold
16: spinebuster slam
17: body slam
18: Samoan drop
19: sleeperhold
20: abdominal stretch
21: figure-four leglock
22: armbar
23: Boston crab
24: single-leg crab
25: side-headlock with opponent on the mat
26: bulldog
27: atomic drop
28: punches
29: forearm shiver
30: kneelift (ala Curt Hennig)

Three Strengths:

1: Getz is a wealth of experience in the ring. He's been wrestling for over twenty years and has faced all manner of opponents. Getz' experience sets him a part from a lot of the younger guys in the ring. He knows how to adjust his offense and defense for varying opponents.

2: Getz is a ring general and can control a match. He knows when to duck out of a ring. He knows how to frustrate opponents. He knows how to distract the ref to cheat.

3: Getz is in surprisingly good shape considering his age and wear and tear wrestling can take on a body. Getz attributes this to not wrestling in garbage matches or doing any dangerous moves to wow the crowd.

Three Weaknesses:

1: Getz is getting older and father time isn't getting any kinder. He doesn't move as fast. He's not as strong. Injuries heal slower than they use to.

2: Getz isn't a well-known wrestler, which can lead to a lack of respect. He's a journeyman wrestler, but he's never achieved any level of national or global success.

3: Getz' offensive style is a throw-back compared to modern day wrestling. He doesn't have any "HOLY CHRIST, HE JUST KILLED THAT MAN!" moves. Matches tend to go a bit longer with Getz doing a gradual weardown.

Profile(History of your character):

Getz started wrestling in the mid to late 80's. He started off as ring crew and worked his way up to being a referee before finally being trained to wrestle by some guy lost to time. After his debut match, he took to the road. He's traveled to every part of the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii to wrestle.

He's done some travel to Europe and the Carribean. Getz has never traveled to Japan or Mexico to wrestle. He spent his life out on the road never achieving any more than regional success and fame.

In 2000, Getz started to get a bit of national exposure by joining GLCW for a short time. He joined up with Chi Chi LeVaughn to form a short-lived version of Girlz on Film in the GLCW before parting ways. Getz also joined the HIWF and probably had his most infamous moment. He entered into a war of words with "The Subway Vigilante" Dutch Dixon who accused Getz of blurring lines. Dixon left the promotion after "The Fast Food Vigilante" saved a McDonalds from being robbed and beat Dixon in a match. The less said about this incident, the better.

Getz was set to join IWWC, but that fell through. Getz soon parted ways with HIWF and went back into obscurity before making a name for himself. That's where he's been for the past nine years, wrestling in local shows around the country letting the fans know "Whatever Lenny wants? Lenny gets!"

Don't know if that will happen, Terry. Figured I could post up some apps from old characters of mine. I've lost them once, so I figure putting them up on JTFST will help me not have to keep track of 'em.

I can put Masquerade down on an app. It's been 10 years since he's seen the light of day. Make a request, and you shall get.

EDIT: Masq saw the light of day in USJP which was four and a half years ago.

Just out of amusement, I decided to see how many Roger apps I have in my archives.

Ahem...

Stevie Childes
Scott Von Braun
Jack Greene
(all three from the last version of the E)

Erik Reid
(from his brief AWA run)

And then if I dig into older E apps, I find:
Epitome of Cool
Alex Wallace with Paul Von Braun as his manager
High Society (the tag team)
A quasi-Jessie James app

I think that's it but you never can tell.

Send me all those apps! I need 'em. You should also have a Private First Class, Chubbs, AJ Drake, and I believe that's it... or at least as many as I can remember.

I saw a Drake one yesterday. Didn't know who it belonged to. I'm not sure I have the other one. It may have been lost in the hard drive crash from several years ago. I thought I might dig up an Alex Akira app in there but didn't seem to locate one.

Also have a Derek Rogers one - Adam's brother - that neither John nor I can remember who handled him. Anyone recall?

Derek Rogers would be mine as well. I don't think I ever put in an app for Akira in EMWC.

Was Cyric or Tuulenux you too, Rog? Or am I getting my Underground members mixed up?

Cyric was mine. Tuulenux belonged to someone else. He was never in the Underground that I recall. Dr. Hate, same handler, was for a short time.

I think at one point I had an Akira app from a one shot or something. I somewhat recall Akira on an EMWC show.

Only places I recall Akira being were SJPW, singles and part of BSR, and then in LWC as part of BSR and a singles run. That didn't last too long. Akira hasn't been used since 1999/2000. I do remember putting in an app for Dave Cigliano now. I don't know that anything ever came of that.

I couldn't find a Ciggy app (I tried!) but I did find a conversation where we were debating between Ciggy and Childes for the last E run.

EDIT: Oh, and I just found this... don't question my memory, DeFurio!

[The beginning to "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses plays as a figure is shown. It continues to build until it finally hits the pinnacle and starts at its steady tempo. The lyrics kick in as a picture of Alex Akira is shown as he heads to the ring in his SJPW days. The music lowers a bit as the scene switches to Alex standing against a black backdrop.]

AA: EMWC, it has been a few months since I have stepped into a ring as an active competitor.

[The scene switches back to a shot of Alex Akira in action as he hits the Big Chill with a top-rope tiger driver which is followed up by a shooting star press from Rob "Blackline" James. The scene then switches to both men holding the SJPW All-Asian tag team titles over head.]

VO: One-half of Black Sun Rising, but his forte wasn't the tag team scene. While Black Sun Rising shot through the SJWP competition, Alex Akira was noticed in singles action as well.

[The song comes back on full force as an opponent is shown being hit with the Coup d'Etat tiger release superplex. Alex Akira covers as the scene then fades to him locking the Master Submission onto an opponent. THe opponent struggles but taps out. The music goes soft again as the camera switches back to Alex against the backdrop.]

AA: Competition is one of the motivational factors of what drives me in the ring.

[Alex Akira turns his head as the music becomes louder and the scene fades to him walking to the ring to face another opponent. It then fades to Alex Akira getting laid out by Nik Nyce and his eventual match with him. He hits the Coup d'Etat on Nik Nyce, but is blindsided by Ace Killcannon. The scene switches back to the backdrop.]

AA: I have been dubbed with the names of the master of submission as well as the stoic who comes to the ring, focused on the task at hand.

[The camera pans up to Alex's face. It remains totally emotionless as his brown eyes burn with intensity for the upcoming challenge.]

AA: There is just one thing to remember, EMWC. It is just a matter of time before I step into the ring.

[Alex Akira turns his head again as the music cranks back up. The final shot shows Alex Akira getting his hand raises and then freezes. The camera fades back to the ring.]

Damn, that has to be 1998ish or 1999ish for Akira. To read that now... I see why he hasn't been used in such a long time.

I believe the last E run, before AWA, we discussed Jack Greene. This was after the closing and then reopening. The last run in E before you closed up the first time, I can buy into Ciggy and Childes. Hell, my memory is pretty shot on the matter too.

So... total count of Roger characters in E.

Jack Greene
Epitome of Cool (includes ELK and JJ)
High Society
Alex Akira (I don't remember him being in there)
"Sweet" Stevie Childes
Dave Cigliano (I remember asking about Matthews using the Fujiwara Armbar since Ciggy used it too)
Scott Von Braun
"America's Perfection" Alex Wallace (short run)
"Hot Stuff" Brian Von Braun (I remember him being in for a week I think)
Derek Rogers
AJ Drake
Johnny Michaelson (I forgot about him)
I apped with PFC Chubbs, but you shot him down immediately. Something about toying with your emotions.

EDIT: Fujiwara armbar... man it's been awhile.
