Profile(History of your character): Erik Reid is the second oldest child of
Texas wrestling legend, Buddy Reid. Erik Reid has been wrestling around
the state of Texas for the past two years. He has also gone into Arizona,
Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Erik was trained to wrestle by his father. His six
other siblings are also involved in the wrestling industry.
Buddy Reid started wrestling at the ripe age of 16. Buddy started wrestling
in the state of Texas. He's traveled the world as a wrestler; having wrestled
all over the US, Canada, Japan, Mexico, and Europe. Buddy is a legend in
the state of Texas. After retiring from active competition in the early 1990's,
Buddy opened a wrestling school. He started holding events locally in Dallas
while training the younger children to wrestle. Buddy still continues to teach
the next generation of wrestlers, but has stopped booking shows. Life has
not been easy for the Reid clan. The family has suffered the loss of three
children and the matriarch of the family.
Erik was a pretty normal kid. He went to school, played high school football.
He played college ball for two years before dropping out of school to focus
on his wrestling career. When it was announced the AWA would be opening,
Erik jumped at the chance to wrestle in front of his home town and bring the
Reid name to the AWA.

SAMPLE RP:
[Gordon Myers gets up with a mic in hand. Erik Reid meets Gordon out in
front of the announce table.]

GM: You have quite a big task in front of you this week, Erik. You go oneon-
one against Tumaffi.

ER: I know that, Gordon. This isn’t a big task. This is a monumental task.
Last week, Tumaffi, you injured someone trying to earn an honest dollar. I
won’t tolerate that.

[Erik points at the screen.]

ER: I want you to understand this, Tumaffi. Your reign of terror ends
_tonight_. You’ve done more harm than management ever should have
allowed. If they’re too scared to do anything about it, then fine. I’ll be more
than happy to put a stop to your random acts of violence.

GM: You’re not at one-hundred percent, Erik.

ER: One-hundred percent or not, no one else has the heart to step up to the
Samoan monster. No one else has the guts to look him in the eye. No one
else has the desire to put a stop to his madness. And body slamming the
big man? That won’t do a thing.

[He shakes his head.]

ER: You want to put a stop to this, Ricky? You don’t challenge the man to
see if you can body slam him. That’s just dumb. You get into the ring, you
get into his face, and you tell him what’s what. Tumaffi doesn’t want to
listen to words? Fine. I’ll speak his language.

[Erik arches his fingers and thumb on his right hand. He looks down at his
hand.]

ER: This is the great equalizer, Tumaffi. Even you can’t stand up to the
Iron Claw.

GM: What about “Pistol” Paul Driscoll?

[Erik looks at Gordon.]

ER: What about him?

GM: He’s alluded to there being a bit of history between your family and
his. What history?

ER: Something he doesn’t need to bring up. I have no problems with him,
unless he wants to make himself a problem, Gordon.

[Erik Reid walks off.]
