Title: WRESTLER OF THE YEAR
Description: Ooooo...controversial!

Overly_Critical_Jue - December 9, 2009 05:17 PM (GMT)
I'm going to get it out of the way now and nominate Tommy Stephens, but if someone has a better idea(I DOUBT IT)...go ahead and fire away. -_-

ratrangerm - December 9, 2009 05:29 PM (GMT)
That drunken bum? Or... actually, he's a former drunken bum... but he's still a bum just the same!

Speaking of bums... well, let's go with who were the characters that tended to be at the top of the scene in each fed. Let's see who we've got by fed in the feds I follow:

AWA
Stevie Scott
Juan Vasquez
Tumaffi
Adam Rogers
Marcus Broussard
Raphael Rhodes

UWF
Alexander Epstein
Alex Martinez
Juan Vasquez (how'd this bum get on this list twice?!)
Tumaffi (and this bum too?!)
Trey DaMann
Derek Martin
Gabriel Whitecross

MBC
John Vengeance
Tom Landis (now there's a bum)
One-Winged Angel
Stan Crawford
Jerry Titus

Bums, the whole lotta ya! I'M SURROUNDED BY BUMS!

KliqerT - December 9, 2009 05:36 PM (GMT)
Let me add a few more to the discussion.

UWF
Gamma Ray

PVW
Perry Fontana
Gibson Hayes
Doc Holliday
Rob Cole

He has a twin brother. Just like Brody Thunder does!

And uh...so does Tumaffi! :dontknow:

I'd have to say this is Juan Vasquez's to lose - I mean, come on, the guy's managing his split personalities like no one's business! One day, he's fighting clean in Texas, the other he's kicking down invalids.

Until the day comes where I get confused and I have him fight dirty in Texas and clean invalids in UWF.

...Yes! There's my excuse for if Tumaffi comes back to AWA later!

Tumaffi: You may have annihilated my twin brother Futammi, but I was away learning the power of the senton from my Samoan brother, and now am unstoppable!

I think this needs to be a plot point whenever Crisis On Infinite Frats comes out... :B):

I think it would be hard to have Rick Marley also added to the discussion. He lead the Widowmakers and were involved in two of PVW's biggest matches of the year -

War Games and Marley v Craven.

Shoot with that being said Craven qualifies too. :P

Tumaffi executed the Tommy Stephens-Style Senton on REALITY ITSELF... thus killing Superboy-Prime.

And there's your Wrestler Of the Year, ladies and gentlemen. :D

Overly_Critical_Jue - December 9, 2009 06:58 PM (GMT)
If we ever gave Tumaffi the secret behind the Tommy Stephens-style senton, the e-w would collapse upon itself and we'd have to start all over again with LOOP feds.

Dear Captain Beckbreaker... whoops, I mean Brian. (I sense a Geddings-esque run on the horizon, as a reward for my tact!)

I think you meant to say NOT added. Which would be true, Marley has had an awesome year. I'm still debating between several people for my #1 choice, and he's one of them. Gibson Hayes and Juan Vasquez are also up there.

JeremySatwork - December 10, 2009 06:16 PM (GMT)
Oh good, I forgot to sign that post. Now Brian won't know who was mocking his spelling! MUHAHAHAHA...waitaminute...

You forgot the point out that's its suppose to be was and not were.

Codered - December 10, 2009 08:37 PM (GMT)
You guys only think I forgot "not" ...

Oops sorry Don :)

orklad - December 10, 2009 08:39 PM (GMT)
Daaaaaaaamn.

And here I was deluding myself into thinking Marley was minimally acceptable for once.

Sheesh.

If Gold Rush ever comes out, maybe we'll see Marley finally eat that baby!

We do have hope for the mid-years of 2010. :ninja:

VOTE FOR SLUSH!

He DID wrestle this year. He totally qualifies.

RedRajah - December 10, 2009 08:57 PM (GMT)
Clearly, there is no greater candidate for this honour than the SUPREME Champion "Your Hero" Danny Daniels. It will make a nice bookend to the Nobel Peace Prize he just picked up. :P

Woot! Do it! BEST OF THE YEAR~!

I, er, I mean "I concur."

(Ahem.)

About Marley, I mean. Craven being my own guy, I obviously can't just come right out and say he's the best of the year. So yeah, Marley...

:getthetable:

Ow!

(I deserved that.)
