And then you have to play better than anyone else. - Albert Einstein � username Please register with your characters FIRST && LAST NAME ONLY ( anything else will be deleted ) Middles names are permitted if you feel the character will use them. Do not include shortened versions, their FULL name is needed � character limit We have decided on a character limit of three characters per member. Please know that we are aware of the IP addresses and will know who is who so do not try and apply for 5 characters without telling us who you are. There is however a protocol for getting your second and third character and so forth. There has to be a grace period of two weeks allowed between acceptances giving you time to establish them before moving to take another. You must have completed atleast 15 posts, atleast 10 of these must be an in character post before you are allowed to apply for your second character. If you are applying for your third character, the same goes. You will have to have another 10 in character posts with your first character and another 5 with your new one. -- If you wish to have more than three you may contact the admins to find out what you need to do in order to get them. � posting Please see it as it is that posting before you have applied and been accepted is rude, and is you assuming that your character will be accepted. We have no problems with people posting in the advertising section, the application section also the admin asking questions section. HOWEVER until your character has been accepted please do not post in the in character areas such as plots, plotting area or even In character games. You are allowed to chat in the board chat and plot with people outside of this on aim etc. But until we the admins have actually approved your character and the use of that character on the board please do not post them around. It is just a manners thing � graphics You are not to post without either a signature or an avatar or both. We do not say that you have both some people we are aware prefer to only have one or the other and this is fine, but to make role playing as easy and fun as possible we do ask that everyone have a face to represent their character and either an av or signature on their account while posting. You may request one or ask the admins and we can direct you to a few people who make amazing sets for small price. Please note the size limits for both are Av limits & height ; No larger than 200 x 200 Signature limits & height ; No larger than 185 x 400 Also there is a limit of one Av and Signature PER account. After much discussion we have come to the choice that we will only allow celebrities, models and musicians and such to be used to portray characters. We will not accept you using yourself, cartoons or animations and the like. � god modding We have yet to meet anyone who minds their characters being played by someone else without permission. So without further adieu, this is directed toward God modding others characters. While other boards may not feel this is an issue we simply say do not do it. Unless you have politely asked the person if this is okay, then please simply act out your character and leave them time to do their own. Also if you as a member where not spoken to first about a post and feel someone is god moding your character please contact an admin first before yelling or getting worked up and we will try and deal with it rationally and with as little drama as possible. � must do After being accepted these are the following things that we ask all new members, or current ones to set up and post for their character. - Post to the Avatar List - Reply to the locker number thread letting us know your number - Set up your locker ( mailboxes are optional ) - Set up your mobile phone - You must post a plot page - Apply for a dorm Optional ; - Sign your student up for sports and or clubs - Post an introduction so people know who you are - Post in the plot needed section letting everyone know your new character - Sign up for a subplot journal - If no to the above you can simply post a post journal � requierments The following are in reference to activity around the board. � If you intend to be going away you must tell us first. You will need to post in the away forum which is located in the general discussion area. You will need to include how long you will be away for in that post aswell. � This is more of a request than a rule, we would love it if all members could at least try and post Out of Character in both the general discussion area and or the plotting area at least once a week if not a fortnight. This is simply so that everyone gets a chance to know everyone else. It makes everyone less intimidating to new people and also helps everyone feel generally more comfortable. � Invidiare has no problem with multi posting in fact we highly recommend it for the fun factor and getting to post with various people. Please keep in mind that if in your post you say it is Friday morning then you cant be in another post at the same time. Also try not to start so many posts that you have to drop them due to lack of time. This is more so because it can be disappointing to whomever is left without a post. Also if you intend to drop a post please tell the person in the post first, and then ask the admin to archive it. � Hiatus - Please note that a hiatus must last more then two weeks shorter than 4 months. We more than anyone understand that muses do go missing and writers block in role playing is all to common, however if you wish to take a break this is fine, please do not call it a hiatus or tell us you are on one if said hiatus is only going to last a few weeks long enough for you to feel your character again. We will gladly accept you needing both a break and or a hiatus please just pm us with the details letting us know along with those you are posting with. . � limits While we are not going to go and set a word count for what we deem acceptable for posts, as we understand sometimes there is just an overwhelming urge to post and not a lot of time in which to do so, please keep in mind we would like to pride ourself on trying to be the best. Trying to be an advanced board with advance members. So in saying this we would prefer if no posts fell below three good sized paragraphs. Please note we are in no way saying we are going to delete short posts not in the slightest, simply that we will let you know in private that we wish it to be simply expanded on. We focus on Quality and not quantity please remember this. � past tense This is here to simply stop others from having to feel they need to ask but like most boards Invidiare is a past tense role play, therefore we would kindly ask that all posts and interactions be played out as such. � death and pregnancy Please note that all deaths and circumstances MUST be cleared with Admins first we don't want any unbelievable or irrational plots. This doesn't mean don't ask us or be afraid to by all means come and ask you never know we may just love the idea. The same can be said about pregnancy. This is an elite boarding college that your students are at. The chance of more than two girls getting pregnant at a school such as this and choosing to keep the children is slim. Please contact an admin first. � banning Banning will occur if any member � Is found stealing Graphics, HTML, Names, Descr1pt1ons of any sort, Applications, Signatures or Avatars from other members, students or staff � Slander or have any part in the deformation of Invidiare And or its Members and staff � Constantly cause offense to admins, mods or general role playing members. � Are found to be ignoring the requests of admins.
