Welcome to Ferelden! Things are a little overturned at the moment, although looking much better after a year of work and repair. The Blight was ended by a group of companions, led by a Grey Warden one year ago, who died slaying the Archdemon. Despite the supposed peace, there's still unrest throughout the lands. Think you can help us out? Then head over to the Chantry Board. Lots of quests are put up there for helpful people such as yourself to take a stab at.

Site-wide plots are different than Chantry Board quests. Quests give you and your characters something to do, while site-wide plots affect what's going on in the world - things that affect everyone, including NPCs.

The Bannorn
Various lands controlled by the Banns exist across the lowlands of Ferelden. The lands that each Bann controls is called a "bannorn".

A large and well-used road travelling from Denerim to Lake Calenhad and the Frostback Mountains.

The West Road
Another road leading out of Denerim, this one passes past Dragon's Peak, close to the Brecillian Forest and Lothering, connecting to the Imperial Highway at the south end of Lake Calenhad.

Redcliffe
Containing both Castle Redcliffe and it's surrounding village, this area is ruled by Arl Eamon.

Frostback Mountains
The Frostbacks make up the natural Western border between Ferelden and Orlais.
Also within these mountains you can find Gherlen's Pass, which leads to the Dwarven city of Orzammar.

Orzammar
This grand Dwarven city is ruled by King Bhelen, and is completely underground. In it's depths you'll find the Deep Roads - home of the Darkspawn - as well as the Orzammar Commons, Dust Town and the Diamond Quarter.

Lake Calenhad
This large lake in the West of Ferelden holds the Circle Tower. On it's shore you'll find the Lake Calenhad docks, which is where the Spoiled Princess pub calls home.
Fishing along it's shores is also common, although swimming is outlawed.

The Imperial Highway
This road connects the North and West roads together, on the west side of Lake Calenhad. It connects Redcliffe, the Frostback Mountains and Lothering together, as well as stretching to the south towards the ruins of Ostagar.

Denerim
The capital city of Ferelden, Denerim is a very large place. Numerous pubs, stores, and warehouses can be found here. There is also a Marketplace in the Northern section of the city where travelling merchants may set up stalls.

Brecillian Forest
The former home of the werewolves, these forests are large and dominate most of Eastern Ferelden. Now that the Warden has cured the werewolves, it is a decently safe place to explore. As long as you can defend yourself from the wild animals.

The Wilds
This untamed land in Southernmost Ferelden is home to the Chasind and the rumoured "Witch of the Wilds". Aside from that, the area is a large swamp with many wild creatures. Not the safest place to take a stroll in.

Elven Lands
After proving their strength in the Battle of Denerim one year ago, they have been granted their own lands near the ruins of Ostagar. They are wary of humans, and suspicious of dwarves, but will allow guests as they see fit.
