Mason flicked his brown bangs out of his face, gaze following a bicyclist as she rode past. He watched her for a second before turning his gaze back to the lake in front of him. Mason, a college student from Sairan, was laid back against a bench, his ears flicked back as he stared unblinkingly in the distance. He held a styrofoam cup of coffee in both of his hands, and heaved a heavy sigh before bringing the lid to his mouth and taking a quick sip of the hot liquid.
It burned the inside of his mouth, but he shook the stinging feeling off with a slight wince. He rolled his eyes as he slunk back against the bench, drawing his legs back towards him a bit so they weren't sprawled all over the sidewalk. Madeline had told him to 'get out' for a bit, told him that he was smuthering her. But he was just worried so it shouldn't have been a big deal right? Nonetheless, she had nagged him into getting out for a day on the town. Unfortunately, he didn't really have anyone to turn to actually have a decent day out. All the friends he did have were in class, or just weren't picking up their phones altogether.
Mason blinked back into reality as he shifted, shoving one hand into his coat pocket as he pulled out his phone, exhaling heavily as he flipped it open to make one last attempt to schedule some sort of activity. Preferrably an enjoyable one, or something better then sitting in this boring old park.

Blaire, a feeble boy of fifteen, giggled shrilly. He had been our running in the park for hours now, chasing after random small animals or playing with a toddler. The boy always bore at least a small smile on his face unless he was completely dissolved in tears. That was one of the good things about being Blaire; he was free and could do anything he wanted to.
While the small teen was chasing after a pidgeon, however, things seemed to take a turn for the worst. The bird quickly changed direction, and, without thinking, the rabbit Hybri did as well. He quickly found himself in the lap of a man he didn't even know was there with something hot sprayed across his face.
Blaire yelped and rolled over, finding himself landing on the harsh ground. He clawed at his face, making small whimpering sounds. "I-I'm sorry, it was an accident, but it really hurts - !"

His little whispers Love me. Love me Thats all I ask for Love me. Love me. He battered his tiny fists to feel somthing Wondered what Its like to touch and feel something That night he caged her. Bruised and broke her. He struggled closer. Then he stole her. Violet wrists and then her ankles. Silent Pain. Then he slowly saw their nightmares were his dreams.

Mason leaned one arm against the back of the bench, letting the back of his head clack against the top of the bench as he stared up at the sky. Still no luck. Did everyone but him have class today!? It was impossible, right? Really...
He barely had a few more seconds to silently complain when something heavy landed on him. He cringed sharply, letting out a surprised yelp when whatever it was knocked the coffee from his hand. He heard a more highpitched yelp and he sat up sharply, leaning over a bit as he laid a hand on his knee, clutching it as he waited for the sting of the coffee that had been spilt on his coat and pants to subside. Thankfully, he'd worn dark colours today, and it wasn't all that noticable.
He cringed as he narrowed his gaze in on the squirming child on the ground in front of him. Most normal people would have come to the kid's aid, but not Mason. The first words that left his mouth were an angry sounding, "What the hell was that!? You can't watch where the hell you're going?" he snarled, jolting up as he brushed at the cooling coffee on his clothes. His ears swiveled backwards as he watched the kid squirm and snorted down at him. "Yes, it's called coffee. It's hot and it burns when it gets on you."

Mason rubbed his temples, snorting through his nose as Blaire clawed at his eyes, whining the entire time. "But you're very obviously not going to catch them. They're wild creatures, they don't talk back. Why don't you just make some friends?" he answered in response, though his tone revealed his obvious irritation with the younger boy.
Mason brushed at his lap, where the coffee had spilt, and heaved a sigh. "Yeah." he grunted in response, narrowing his eyes at the boy. He sure whimpered a lot-- and it was actually just beginning to annoy him. Mason crossed his arms as he flicked his fluffy tail, sidestepped away from the spot he'd been sitting before-- the bench still dripping slightly with coffee, and flopped down on one dry side of the bench "Just go wash your eyes out with water or something, kid." he informed, his voice monotone as his ears swiveled back slightly. He really didn't feel any guilt at all-- some people would call him cruel for that-- but it was the kid's own fault.
If he hadn't been willy-nilly chasing birds all over the place, it just wouldn't have happened.

Blaire released one last, tiny whine before suddenly stopping everything he was doing, including stopping his hands from clawing at his eyes (which still hurt). He turned his watery eyes to the man. He just stared for a moment before slowly uncurling himself from the ball he had managed to get into, his legs straightening out in front of him.
With a last wipe at his eyes on the backs of his hands, Blaire sighed quietly. "What makes you think there's running water at home, sir? Or, at least, running water that I'm allowed to use?" he questioned the man, his voice quiet. He gave a small sniffle and straightened up his back. "N-not everyone has the benefits that you have, sir."
A small wince came from Blaire as he held his eyes closed momentarily. With his eyes closed, it stung more. He took in a shuddering breath.
"Y-you don't have to be so mean to someone who did something on accident, you know..."

Mason turned his gaze onto the rabbit hybri again as he began to speak again, and he leaned back on the bench, moving his arm over top of it and allowing it to dangle over the edge. His expression changed into one of slight pity for only a moment at the words the smaller hybri said to him, then flickered back into the neutral expression that he usually wore. Now he was just pulling the 'guilt trip' thing, wasn't he?
"Maybe not, but there are things such as Public Restrooms you can use." he answered gruffly, flicking an ear nonchalantly at him. "You're right, I don't have to. Meanwhile, if you had bothered to pay attention to where you were going, we could have avoided this little mishap, couldn't we?" he answered with a huff.
He brushed his bangs back over his face, huffing as they flopped back over his forehead again as he looked down at the smaller hybri. "... Just watch where you're going next time."
