Here is the rules that all Professors are asked to read just so that they know what's going on and how to do a few things.

Classes

Once your character is accepted to become a Professor, you do not necessarily have to start up a class automatically but it would be nice if you started one up sooner rather than later. Once you put up a class you do not have to update it every day though it would be nice if you updated it at least once a week to keep the class going so it doesn't just die.

Assignments

It is your task to assign your class something to do rather that means homework or work to do in class. If you assign them something to do make sure the answers can be found within the lesson otherwise it'll be impossible for them to answer the questions given. You can also sign a due date as to when their work must be turned it and when they have to turn it in they will PM you the work needed.

Giving and Taking House Points

It is your job as a Professor to give or remove House Points from students depneding on what they've done. You cannot remove more then twenty house points from any House at any given time. And you cannot give more then twenty House Points at a time.

Reason for Removing or Giving House Points

If you give or take House Points for any given reason you must send either me (Kristina Lupin) or Draco Malfoy the list of House Points given or taken and give a reason why they deserve to gain or lose the House Points. So if you give a person ten House Points in one house and then deduct five House Points from another house you will PM one of us one message with who you gave the House Points to, a reason and then who you deducted House Poitns from, and a reason for that. If the reason isn't good such as 'I hat ethis person' we cannot deduct the House Points. If you do not send us any of House Points and a reason we cannot give the proper House the points.

Starting A Class

We ask that when you do start a class that in the title somehwere you put that it is a class. This is so we know which thread will be a class and which one is outside of class in each of the classrooms. It makes things easier then having to read the thread only to find it's a class and not something else like just for fun.

Syllabus

We encourage all Professors to come up with a syllabus of expectations and a grading scale for their classes. Once they do that and make it into a thread under their class, an admin will come and pin the thread for you.

Homework

When a student turns in their homework it is your job as a Professor to grade said homework. We ask that you only grade on a 10 point scale because for all of the right answers that person has they will earn that many House Points for their house. So once you're done grading the assignment please send one of the admins how many House Points that person gets and for the reason you can put it was a Class Assignment. Also when you tell us how many they missed we ask that you include their assignment with all of the right answers. We just wnat to make sure you're grading fairly and just completely absed on House. Note that you cannot take off House Points from someone if they miss that question so don't bother worrying about it.

Abusing Powers

Should we find that you are abusing your power as a Professor for any reason such as helping naother studen with the right answers or giving assignments that are nearly impossible to do we will remove you from your Professor abilities and force you to choose another character until you can prove you are capable of doing something with abusing the powers envolved.
