Notice Board

Aurora sat at her desk. She looked around the room, it was always so unnervingly silent when she was alone here. Her very breath echoed off the cold stone walls. She wanted to change it, but really couldn't decide how.

Today she was preparing to teach another fun lesson. It would cause a reward for each student.

She grinned as she used a flagrate type charm to write on the board:


Lesson Two:

Engorgio, Reducto

The art of Enlarging, and, shrinking.

Please take a box from the stack, and prepare for the lesson.


Next she conjured a stack of brightly colored wrapped and beribboned boxes. They were small gifts for her class, but also practical for the lesson.

For now, she rested her head on the back of her chair and waited for her class.

Lexi walked into the class noting that she was the first one there. "good morning professor." she said brightly taking a box from the pile. She walked to a desk in the back and sat down.."so...what exactly are we doing to day?" she asked.

Etana walked into the room and looked at the board. " Lovely. " She said before taking a box from the pile. She then walked to a desk in the middle of the classroom and floped down. She gazed out a window and sighed.

Vincent entered the room. Seeing the boerd he too a box. He then looked around the room. He noticed lexi in the back of the room and Etanagazing out a window. He went and sat beside her. " Hey etana what's wrong? You look depressed. "

" Silver still hasn't come back. Wonder if we are going to have partners? " She replied. " If we do you want to pair up?? "

" Sure. "

Briena walkd in looking around noticing only Lexi and the Professer. " Hello professer. Are we doing anything exsiting today?" Briena went back to another desk and sat down.


Serena walked in and saw few people were here. " huh Im usally late" she thought.
She looked up at the bored seeing what lesson she would have to do. Serena then took a set at the very far back of the room to were know one could bug her.

Aurora smiled and greeted Lexi with a cheerful, "Hello Lexi. Welcome back! How is your training going?"

She stood up, and picked up a bright blue box with a silver ribbon. "We are going to practice shrinking with Reducto, and making bigger with Engorgio! I'll tell you more as we get started!" the lastc was directed to the whole calss.

Briena walked over and picked up a box then went back over and sat down. " This should be fun. Ummm Professer when do we start and do we partner up?" Briena looked at the professer weirdly.



Serena also went and picked up a box. " Huh these people are so stuiped sometimes" she thought. Serena looked at the window thinking of the tigers when her baby tiger came in. " Ummmm Professer is it ok if my tiger comes to class with me because he dosent want to leave my side."

Lexi smiled "training is going great..I haven't had any problems."
she organized her things on her desk as she said "I think I'm finally getting a handle on it."

Etana stifened as the small tiger entered the room. She slid down in her seat andmade herself as unnoticablaspossible. She really didn't want the small cub coming to her. She had already met it and was sorry for the cub's possition.

Vincent looked at Etana the at the professor, " I agree with Briena, when do you want us tostart. And again do we partner up?

Briena looked at Vincent evily ( She dosent like him ) " Yes please tell us." Briena looked at Etana like what the heck got into her mind.


Serena picked up her young cub and stared to pet it gently. ( she loves that cub) " So is it ok if he stays or would you like me to send him away?" Serena was trying to prove to Etana that she wasent a bad person.

Aurora looked at them thoughtfully, "No, I don't think we'll need to partner up for this. I'll spare you today!" she laughed at her own joke. "And Serena, I don't suppose it will cause a problem for a tiger cub to be in the room, however it will behoove you to teach it to learn to take your command and stay in your dorm. A classroom is not the best place for your familure."

She looked at the clock, "Well, we're a bit early, but let's begin... I want you to think about the box you have chosen, and think about how it is a general size, each about a foot square. Then imagine it getting bigger, point your wand at it, and say 'engorgio!' it should enlarge."

She pointed a finger at her own box, and said "engorgio!" the box went from being a foot square, to being larger than an elephant.

Looking back at the class, she remarked, "After you have successfully enlarged it think about it shrinking, point your wand, and say 'reducto!' it should shrink as you visualize it."

She pointed her finger at her box again, said, "Reducto!" and her box shrank down to be an inch square.

She smiled at everybody, "Okay practice for a while, and I will tell you the final part later."

Belle walked into the class and looked at the proffessor as she was explaining the lesson. "Am I late, Proffessor?" the hufflepuff asked picking up a purple box with a silver ribbon.

She sat at a desk next to Vincent. "I don't think I've met you before. I'm Belle Bedeau. You are?" the second year asked the boy in a wisper.

She settled into her seat and placed her belongings on the desk and put her bag on the floor. A white cat head poped out. "Shh, Kaela, we don't want people to know your hear." she said in a low voice to her cat. The cat poped back into the bag and started to purr silently, so no one can hear (unless Vincent...because Belle is sitting next to him), as she petted her cat.

She put the box onto the desk and remembered what the proffessor had said. She looked at the box and imagined it getting bigger and said, "engorgio" and the box went from a foot square to the ceiling top. "Wow, thats huge." she said to herself. Then she imagined it getting smaller and said, "Reducto" and it shruck back to a foot square. "Was that right Proffessor?" she asked.

The classroom door flung open as Miranda rushed in. Her face was sweaty and red, and her hair was static-infested and puffed out. "I'm... sorry... for being... late," the young girl panted, looking over to the professor.

The Slytherin ran her fingers through her brunette mess in feeble attempt to tame it. She straightened her robes, and unconciously rubbed her eyes in exhaustion. Miranda big brown eyes gazed over her classmates in panic as she realized the scene she was making.

Lexi grinned as Miranda came in. The Slytherin looked quite exhausted "must be from running here to make it" she thought watching her. She pointed her wand at the box "engorgio" the box grew going almost up to the ceiling "oops" lexi mumbled as it continued to grow. She pointed her wand again "reducto." the box went down to its normal size.

Briena took out her wand and wispered " engorgio". The box grew to and enormase size. " oops I think I over did it alittle." Briena giggled alittle the wispered "reducto". The box went back to normal.


Serena looked at the class along with Orisis in a weird look. Serena sat down at the darkest corner of the room. Orisis went over to Etana and started rubbing up on her legs. Serena on the other hand was working on her charms. " engorgio". The box grew, " huh this is boring. Reducto". The box was back to normal.

Aurora noticed the two late entrants, except they weren't late yet. "It's alright there is actually a bit of time before class is truely set to begin. Belle, good job, Miranda, please select the box of your choice, and begin the charms. Lexi, Briena, and Serena...you all did fine. I expected this to be easy, but there is still a treat to come. I'll wait until the actual class time to tell you the surprise though." she grinned and walked back to her desk.

Etana looked at her box and took out her wand. She aimed at the box and whispered, "Engorgio." The box grew to the size of a trunk. She shrugged and said, "Reducto." The box returned back to it's normal state.

Vincent, fallowing Etana's lead, Said, "Engorgio." His box grew six inches all around. " Nice, Reducto." The box returned to normal.

Briena looked at Etana and Vincent. She had a much more uneasly look in her eye. " Ummm Etana why is Serenas tiger rubbing up on your leg. It looks like he likes you." Briena laughed a bit then stoped and looked at Vincent.


Serena said nothing but called the young tiger cub back, but it seems that the young cub did not want to come back. Serena walked over to Etana bind down and picked up the cub but she manged to hit her head on the table. " Ouch that hurt. Bloody table and you Orisis" she stoped then just stroked the cubs black and white coat.

Now red from running and embarassement, Miranda took a box and sat next to Lexi. The First Year dug into her robes for her wand and an expression of panic surfaced her face... her wand wasn't there.

'No, I couldn't have forgotten!' thought the distressed girl. She hastily searched her belongings, pleased to find that she was correct and that her worry was for nothing, for her wand her stuck between two school books.

Turning her attention back to the lesson, the eleven-year-old pointed her wand at the box and said, "Engorgio." There was no change, so she repeated more firmly, "Engorgio." This time it grew, but a little smaller than she had hoped. Miranda decided that she would have to deal with this, and said, "Reducto," at the enlargened box, causing it to shrink too much.

"Ugh, I'm awful at this..." she mumbled.

"Whoa..calm down." Lexi whispered to Miranda wondering why she was in such a flurry. "'member focus, picture it happening and do it..." She smiled and said "why are you all ruffled up today?"

"Uh, no reason," Miranda whispered with a smile, shaking it off as she took a deep, relaxing breath and said, "Engorgio." A diminutive grin surfaced on her face at her success, and she continued the simple spell set, "Reducto." Again, it went a bit too small, but not by much.
