"Well, ya see, you've missed a couple of lessons... I sort of hijacked all of them, though. Lesson one was about Michael Jackson, lesson two was a field trip, and lesson three was... Uh... I forgot... Anyhow, today's lesson is on the muggle band, The Beatles." Selina grinned.

[*Jeffrey Johnson]

Kneise whispered to Selina, "Lesson Three was your Field Trip to Neverland Ranch..when it still belonged to MJ that is..." hervoice trailed off conspiratorily.

She wondered what else they would be taught about the Beatles. She plopped back into her seat and peered through her lashes at the remainder of her fellow students.

"Alright, class! Ready to begin? Too bad. The Beatles were composed of four guys. John, George, Ringo, and Paul. They were from Liverpool. They wrote lots of stuff. Some say Paul died. John was assassinated. George died in 2001. Any questions???"


"Yep!!! Um.... why aren't you actually TEACHING us? And how about the satanic backwards messages and Yoko Ono and, you know... everything!??"

"Because I'm the teacher, stupid."

Hearing that, Selina got up and elbowed the teacher away. "Any questions before I START??"

((Another hijaking. ))

Rufus nodded over to Kneise and the turned his attention back to Selina. "So who's Michael Jackson?" he bagan to ask before the class started.


Today's lesson was on the muggle band the Beatles. Rufus had heard about the Beatles before. It was hard not to when you lived in London, even if you were a wizard. Rufus jound the whole lesson very wierd. Rufus took out a piece of parchment and began writing down notes. He got as far as the names of the members in the band: John, George, Ringo, and Paul. But it was not long before the whole class was interupted by Selina who jumped up and began to talk.

Selina jumped up, out of her seat, insulted Professor Python and began teaching the lesson. Rufus just gave a puzzled look, not exactly knowing how to react to the situation.

When Selina asked for questions Rufus raised his hand. "So which ones are dead?"

Kneise merely looked up for an instant when Selina once again took over the whole class. She studiously copied down their notes. Then waited to be told more about Yoko Ono. Theonly thing she remembered about Yoko was that she couldn't sing, she was married to John Lennon, and they had a couple of kids.

"Ah, a very good question, dear boy! The mystery of which Beatles are dead is a true one indeed! John Lennon was assassinated by a shot to the head with a muggle bullet in 1980! A bullet is a piece of metal shot at high speeds. Ah, then there's George, who died of cancer in 2001! Those are the definates. But then there's dear old Paul.

"Paul was rumored to have died in 1966. The rumor stated that he had picked up a hitchhiker, who then lunged at the steering mechanism of his car, causing them to crash into a large object and die. It said that the winner of a look-alike contest, Billy Shears, replaced Paul... And messages in the music supposedly found when it was played backwards also hinted at Paul's death.

"Speaking of Paul, and to answer your previous question, Paulhad his own music career after the Beatles broke up. He worked with pop star Michael Jackson on at least two songs. Michael had been a superstar. ...Go ask someone for the information later, seeing I've taught this already. I'd suggest you ask Selina.

"Any more questions before I begin?"

Rufus shook his head, writing down what he heard in his notes. Rufus wasn't exactly sure how all of this fit into their education as witches and wizards but it was interesting to hear about the nonmagical lives of muggles regardless.

Selina laughed. "Oh yes, Rufus, I believe there IS no practical use of this class. Now, any questions? From any of you?"
