Jule s was once again home and it was all good. To be honest she had been hanging out in Malibu far more often. She felt that she had an obligation to protect her family. However it seemed as if some monster terrorized her family her father was more than capable of killing it with Juliet's help with identifying it. Juliet wasn't a mythology scholar for nothing. This was actually the only 'profession' in which she could find use for her degree. It was times like that that Juliet was grateful that her family was fairly wealthy. Now she was serving drinks in the pseudo-bar in the inn portion of her family's property. Of course she had taken care for Freedom that day, but her parents had gone to Los Angeles for a temple session. The young woman was more than happy to help take care of the people in the inn, and serving drinks and food. Juliet didn't drink, at all, but she had sufficient knowledge of the various liquors and cocktails to be able to serve them. Since Grace had become a regular and becam a family friend, it seemed as if the hunter crowd had grown exponentially. Not to mention that Juliet subtly advertised her family's dude ranch. Some of the customers just became attached to the place and in turn spread the word about it. Jules saw to it that all of the vacant rooms were also stocked, and clean. She even took it upon herself to make sure that the rooms weren't stuffy at all. It was just something that she felt as if she should look after. She even picked out the potpourri for the rooms, namely a evergreen or a fresh type of scent. Even with all these things going through her mind she was sure to make certain that she was focused. The young woman knew that hunters had relatively few friends if any and they were usually very close friends. She did miss Grace, but she knew that the woman was well, after all she had been on the phone with her friend the previous evening. With that thought in her mind she heard the door open. Her hands were preoccupied with bringing a table their beers. She did call to whoever it was in the doorway of the inn. "Welcome! Don't hesitate to find a seat and make yourself comfortable, and I will be with you in just a moment." she said. Dean and Sam had just gotten settled in at a nice hotel in Malibu, and Sam was taking a walk trying to relax and clear his head after hours of driving in the Impala with Dean. The whole time on the trip Dean was trying to get Sam to talk about hell and what happened to him down there, the one thing that Sam doesn’t want to talk about right now. Dean and him have more important things they need to worry about right now, like how Sam was back from hell and why he was back. So Sam defiantly needed a break from Dean right now, he was check out the beautiful Hotel that they were staying at while Dean was resting back at the room. Sam came to what looked like a bar and decided that having a drink sounded like a good idea, Sam opened the door and walked in. He heard a girl tell him to take seat and that she would be with him in one moment, Sam did just that he found a nice seat by the bar and sat down. The place was really nice and simple, it kind of gave off that friendly vibe that the road house did for Sam. It made Sam wonder if this was a hunters bar and if there were other hunters here? Some of the people here did look like they could be, but Sam needed to find out to be sure and play it cool. Sam was waiting to order a beer, he looked over and saw a beautiful waitress bringing beers to a table, Sam could see she had her hands full. When she looked over and saw Sam he yelled over “it OK I can see you are busy take you time’’ She smiled at Sam and when back to what she was doing. Sam sat there checking his phone to see if there were any missed calls, he was hoping Castiel would called him back for help on there next case. Now that Juliet had served that table their beers, she approached the newcomer who was sitting near the bar. She was a bit taken aback at how good looking he was but that was just about it. On her way there she picked up empty glasses from a now vacant table, and set them in a dish bin behind the bar. She looked to the Young man before her and smiled in a friendly manner. Juliet was not going to let her low self esteem over power her need to take care of business here. "Sorry for the wait," She said sweetly. Why not? Juliet tended to exude warmth or at least that was what people said to her, it was partially why people came back to the bar. She tugged at her sweater, and dress to make sure things were tidy, and that she looked somewhat professional. Though her family's business was very casual, she tried to look orderly at least. It was a good thing that she took that care in that sort of thing. She really didn't want people to see her garments beneath that dress. "What can I get for you, sir?" Juliet asked politely. She may have been a California girl but that didn't mean that she had forgotten manners, or wasn't taught them for that matter. She was still intelligent, and knew the importance of common courtesy, and made sure to use those things. Even if all the people she would interact with were hunters. After all, she was one too. The waitress was wearing beautiful dress with cherries all over it, Man she is stunning, she is way to beautiful to be a hunter, she cant be one there is no way. Sam thought to himself. She then walked up and told him sorry for the wait and asked what he would have, “It Ok I didn’t have to wait long, plus you looked pretty busy. I will have the best beer you have in the house please” Sam said to her with a big smile on his face. She then told him she would be right back with his beer, “Ok thank you and take your time” While Sam sat there waiting for her to come back with his Beer he decided he should call Dean and let him know about the bar and that might be hunter territory. So Sam picked up his Cell phone and started to call Dean, when Dean picked up he told Sam he was busy, Sam then told Dean with a laugh “dude watching Casa erotica isn’t busy, you know that right” Dean then told Sam that he was doing research and that he was not watching T.V. Sam then told him “I know I was just picking on you Dean relax, hey I’m at this bar at the motel that I think might be hunter territory but I’m not sure, I’m going to find out then I will let you know. Ok talk to you later, good luck on the research Dean” Sam then put his phone away and saw the waitress make her way back to the table. Sam had to ask her some how to find out, he just didn’t know how to ask her yet. She sat Sam’s beer down on the table, “Thanks!” He told her. “So I’m just wondering for a project I’m doing, what kind people do you have come in and out of this bar?” Sam waited for her to answer him. When the man before her ordered his beer Juliet nodded and went to go get it. Her skirt just swayed as she glided over to the bar. Juliet grabbed a good beer from the cooler and brought it, a coaster and a couple of napkins over to the man. She was sure to try to not disturb him during his phone call. She had already taken the cap off of the beer bottle, and placed it upon the coaster. Jules never noticed the pentagram charm that she kept on her person fall out of a pocket and onto the table. As she began to turn around and go back to work, the man asked her a question about the kind of people that came through the bar. "The kind of people? We get lots of people here, but many are regular patrons." Juliet replied. She was passed by a couple of hunters that were there who addressed her by name, and said a goodbye. She returned with a sweet reply, then brought her attention back to the man before her. Jules was wondering just who this guy was. She was a softie, and she wouldn't ever be intentionally brash. Sam picked up his beer a took a big swig of it as he listen to her talk about the kind of people that came in and out of the bar. Sam could tell by the way she was talking she knew way more about who came in and out of the bar then she was telling him. She then told to guys that went by her goodbye, Sam could tell by the way the guys looked they were for sure hunters. She then looked at Sam and told him Hi I’m Juliet Gray, Sam put out his had to shake hers and said “Hi I’m Sam Winchester it is very nice to meet you. Sit down for a min Juliet I want to ask you something” Sam then looked at her and could tell he was freaking her out a bit. “I’m not going to hurt you, I just want to ask you something and I don’t want anyone else to hear us talk. Now I’m surprised you never heard of me, I’m a hunter and what I was going to ask you was, is this a hunters bar?” Sam asked her. Sam knew he need to calm down for a second, he was asking Julie a lot of questions at once, and Sam didn’t want to scare her off. Sam then told her “I’m sorry if I’m bugging you on this, I just wanted to know because I’m a hunter my self and I like this bar, it seems very cozy, you done a good job on it, I like it.” Sam then Smiled at Juliet and as he picked up his beer to take another drink. Sam Winchester... Juliet had heard the name before. Likely from some of her family's regular hunter patrons. She looked back at the man and nodded. She lowered herself into a chair and proceeded to have a little chat with him. "Hunters? We do have a lot of hunters go through here, she replied, "I'm a hunter myself, though it seems as if I'm at home more often now." The bar, and inn were both owned by Jules' parents and she was always happy to help work in there. Tips were pretty good, and the people were sweet. "It's nice to meet yet another hunter though," Juliet said. That was when Juliet saw her parents walk through the door and went back to work. That only meant that she had more time to talk to Sam. It was always nice to hear that the bar and inn were cozy. It was something that Juliet and her family took seriously. "Well, I'm glad you like it here." Sam was surprised to hear that Juliet was a hunter, she seemed really smart and was very beautiful. She could do anything she wanted to do with her life, so why be a hunter and get in to this crazy life. Sam didn’t understand why so he asked her “So why are you hunter you seem like a smart girl you could go to collage and be whatever you wanted to be. This life can get really crazy sometimes, especially for a girl.” Sam was hope she wasn’t getting too offended about what he was saying to her, she seemed like a girl who could do the job it’s just Sam didn’t wish this life on anyone, especially someone as sweet has Juliet. “you know it is cool to meet another girl hunter! There aren’t many around.” Sam was enjoying himself and it had been a long time since Sam had just sat down with a beer to have a good conversation with someone. These days it seemed like Sam was always fighting with his brother Dean about what went on in hell, something Sam is really not ready to talk about at all yet. Juliet told Sam she was happy that he liked it there, “Yeah I love it here! The place is very down to earth, nice people, food, beer and a place to sleep. This place is a hunters dream.” Sam picked up his beer and kicked it back to take another drink while Juliet asked Sam if there was anything else he wanted to know. But there was something he thought about asking that might be fun, “hey Juliet are you working on any cases right now? And do you need any help on it? Of course Juliet could do anything she wanted with her life. What better person than herself to be a hunter? She had the resources, and the ability, and the desire. It was a difficult life, and it was dangerous, but Juliet just wanted to protect her family. “I have gone to college, actually,” Juliet replied, “Masters degree in English and Literature, with emphasis on myth and folklore.” Her degree was almost useless in any other field but hunting, as sad as that sounded. “I also wanted to help protect my family.” she said with a smile. She waved back to her father who went behind the bar to let his daughter have a break. After all it wasn't everyday that Maximillion Gray got to see his daughter have a good long chat with a patron. “Cases?” Juliet smiled in a pensive way, “Yes, there is a chupacabra nest, that I happened to track down earlier today.” Juliet explained. She motioned to the pastures outside. “They've been attacking our horses, and I've been shooting them one at a time, but... they keep coming.” This was all true, she was gonna hunt when her shift was over. It would be nice for her to have help on this hunt. It was fairly simple, but there was no telling how many of the creatures were inhabiting that nest in the canyon. Chances were there would be more. However, her horses were a source of income for her and anything that would dare jeopardize their health and safety were not going to get away with that. “Chupacabra normally kill and eat goats, but these are abnormally large, and they go after cattle, and horses,” Juliet explained, “I could use the help.” Location: Malibu, California Wearing: Aww Tagged: Sam Notes: chupacabra hunt 8D

Sam thought It was cool to meet another hunter who enjoyed school as much as he did, Sam really had missed his days going to Stanford University. Sam more then anything at that time wanted to go in to law school, but things have changed since then and he is just not that Sam anymore. Sadly hunting had become who he really was, and Sam had come to terms with that. He did really love helping people it was something he was really good at, so Sam was ok with the life he was living now. Sam saw Juliet waving to a man that came in the bar, he knew it must have been her Dad, It seemed like they were really close, he had to be if he was cool with her being a hunter. That was something that Sam wished he had done more with his Dad before he died, they never really got to bond much, at that time in Sam’s life he hated to hunt and Sam will never forgive himself for that. Juliet started to tell Sam about the case that she had been working on, about chupacabra nest and how they had been killing her horses. Sam had never heard anything about them getting that big enough to kill horses, So Sam thought it sounded really interested and wanted to check the case out. Plus it will be fun to work with someone other then Dean for a change, he need a break from a worried brother bad. Sam then told Juliet “Ok yeah I would love to help you! Ok so the first thing we need to figure out is what these things weakness are and how do we kill them”Sam then pulled his laptop out of his bag ready to do some research, then asked “So what you have so far on it?”

Monsters had been weird lately. Most of the hunters in this very bar would find it hard to believe that she had killed a chupacabra big enough to take out a horse. These were the creatures that Juliet had learned to kill first. They were her first hunt, and Grace had taught her how to kill them. They were fairly straightforward as far as monsters went. Simple too. Juliet was happy that her father had decided to take over for her. This was a family run business, and they did always have patrons, not that they were usually very busy very often. “Just the usual iron rounds and rock salt.” Juliet said, “these were the first.... breed... I guess you could say, of monster I've ever hunted. Be right back.” She left briefly to go get a map of the canyon. When she returned she unfurled the map across the table. “Here's a map of the canyon, and here is the nest,” she explained, while she pointed at a bright blue line that she had drawn that went from the mouth of the canyon, to the drawn circle on the map, and traced the line with her finger. “I let one go after shooting it with a sort of radio transmitter into it's back, like the kind they put on sharks in the ocean, and traced it... back to this area, it's been there for the past week,” Juliet said. She hoped Sam was following. He seemed really smart, so this shouldn't have been to much to handle. “My brother suggested the radio transmitter,” Juliet said, giving credit where it was due, “this area is only accessible by foot, or on horseback.” This is where she expected to lose Sam as a partner in this hunt. However if he was going to insist, she would happily allow him to borrow a horse. “It'd be best to leave in a little bit while the sun is still up. They're more vulnerable in the day.” Juliet said.
