Hardkore World began its life in 1987 at the hands of "Hardkore" Jonnie Valentine through snail mail. When the internet came to be it shifted online and has had various homes, this board being its place of residence since 2004.

We had a hiatus for a couple of years after Jonnie stepped down, but now we're back in business. There's just too much history here to go to waste.

So, how are things done in Hardkore World? Signing up couldn't be easier. You just need to submit a profile and moveset to me for your wrestler via PM. Then you're in. Dependant on how long the current card has to run, I'll either crowbar you into the current show somehow or we'll just wait until the next one.

Hardkore World is a little different from most feds and it's because of these differences that I decided to start things up again here. I got tired of a few current trends in e-wrestling and found myself longing for the glory days. Let me stress one thing; ANYTHING GOES IN HARDKORE WORLD. You CAN write however you want, but there are only certain things that are gonna get you over. You can either learn this the hard way or save yourself some hassle and take note of the following pointers:

1.) Quality over quantity. A lot of players out there today believe writing more words than your opponent wins you a match. It will not do so in Hardkore World. As I write this I've just been laughing my ass off at a couple of promos in the archives that were 2 or 3 hundred words max. Learn to get your message across without hammering it over the head.

2.) Are you a "shoot" fed or a "character development" fed? - veteran players will be confused by this question. For some reason a lot of players think there are only two types of roleplay; one that barely mentions wrestling and focuses on the wrestler's life story (character development) and one that boils down to a flamewar (shoot). Hardkore World is neither of these things. You'll find typically the best Hardkore World players are witty, inventive and entertaining in how they deliver their messages, but the focus is always on the match and their opponent. There are much more "shoot" aspects to Hardkore World than "character development", certainly. But they're clumsy labels really.

3.) Schedule- Hardkore World is a monthly fed which operates a loose system for roleplays and matches. There is no roleplay limit, but again, I can't stress enough the first point of quality over quantity. You will have roughly a month to promo for your match, dependant on your place on the card. When I deem fit, probably after 3, 3 and a half weeks I will begin posting the show. At this point, you may CONTINUE posting promos in the SHOW thread. I.e. you write your own on-show promos. These will count toward your match. Rule of thumb, I'll release one or two matches a day.

4.) There is no "off camera". This is something which flies elsewhere, but it's not allowed here. As far as I'm concerned if you're posting in a promo thread and I can read it, so can your opponent. Nothing your character does or says in the promo thread may be considered "off camera".

5.) Intergender competition is quite frankly implausible and hasn't ever been something we do here in Hardkore World. Historically however we've had a very strong women's division and if we can get sufficient interest for female characters I'd be happy to bring back the division.

It will be also worth your while checking out this link:

Jonnie may not be running the place anymore but the principles on how he saw the game are basically how we play it here.

Amendments and Additions

6.) I am somewhat striking the Inter-gender matches. Throughout history their have been women to believable compete with the men; Awesome Kong and Chyna instantly come to mind, but they were not the rule. Most of the time the women, inside the ring, while maybe technically as sound, were not able to believably compete. So, if you want you gal to compete with the males, make it believable. No 110 pound woman will be competing with a three hundred pound male.

7.) More effort from you gets more effort from me.

8.) No-shows kill cards. So please, don't do it. If the card has been posted and you are on it and can't promo, tell me, I'll change the card. I don't like writing squash matches, and will try and avoid them at all coast.

Again, if you have any other questions refer to the link Syberus posted above or ask me.
