HALLELUJAH DOGS

user posted image

Hallelujah Dogs are the native wolf-like creatures of Hallelujah Range. These wolves stand at about 7 feet tall and about 20 feet long. There have been a few to get a little bigger or stay a little smaller. Their pelts are normally grey in color from a light grey - almost white - to black. Occasionally a brown one will turn up from a light to a dark, almost black, brown, but it is a recessive gene and therefore does not show up that much. These dogs mature at 2 years old, and since they can be found in packs most of the time - unless tamed - only the high ranking ones are able to breed. When they Whelp, they usually have litters of 6 to 8 puppies. Sometimes there are more than 8, but not many more than 10. These dogs take very good care of their puppies, usually raising them until they reach 2 years of age where they either leave to start their own pack or become an active member of the one they were born into.

Hallelujah Dogs, like dragons, can take on a companion. They do not know who their destined partner is, but if a human decides to take on one of the dogs, they must first gain the trust of the mother and father of the pup and must be present when the pups are born. Once the pups are born, the parents will know which one will be best for which human or Tamer and will give the pups away. From there, they have a process similar to Impression; however, if the Tamer dies, the dog can either go back to their pack, start a new one, or can look for another Tamer. There is a bond formed between Tamer and Dog that is much stronger than that of a pet.

These Dogs can be ridden, which is one of the main reasons why there are Tamers in the first place. These are used for ground wars - if needed - as well as travel on the ground. Most of the time, those that cannot impress a dragon turn to Hallelujah Dogs since there are much less criteria and they are easier keepers than dragons as well. When first training them, they can be hostile, but it doesn’t' take long to form the bond with them if you are not mean to them and are patient with them. They are, after all, a wild animal. Hallelujah Dogs, once tamed, are almost as loyal as a dragon, though, there are a few differences. A Hallelujah Dog will risk its life for its Tamer, but only to an extent. If they are injured, they will try to get their Tamer out rather than fight to the death.

From an outsider's view, Hallelujah Range looks like it is at peace with the natives of A'ter, but that is far from the truth. The Dragonriders of Hallelujah Range have many problems with the Native Elves and vise versa. The 'riders believe that the Elves should not be entitled to have dragons that they brought over and that they should just stick to their Hallelujah Dogs despite the fact that they use the 'Dogs themselves. The Elves do not like the way the 'riders use and waste the land and believe that they are entitiled to the dragons as well since the dragon chooses its rider. Many times these groups have clashed, though, none of them have been in battle yet. But its only a matter of time.

Will a war between these groups wage? If so, who will come out on top? Will there be anyone, or anything, to stop this war? Join us, and find out. You could be the determining factor in this ordeal.

2) Do NOT adveritse in the Chat Box. Period.
3) Do not swear all the time in the Chat Box. I makes our site look trashy and it detours others from joining. It is okay to swear once in a while, but do not go dropping the F-bomb every three seconds.
