He was right. Well, why shouldn't he be?

A god...a hybrid. The story of Toushin Taishi Nataku told that the war god was allowed to kill--the only god given that right, in fact--because he was a heretic. Taboo. It was easy to guess what his non-holy half could have been.

Ukoku didn't imagine the legendary Nataku would be so...human. Wasn't that wonderful?

"I can imagine." Even humans in general scorned taboos. He chewed on another persimmon. "So, what brings you here?"

[Nataku]

"I can imagine. So, what brings you here?"

Thirteenth bottle of sake down the drain, with no signs of him being drunk.

"Peaches." He said. "I detest the peaches of home, because they taste like paper and turn into ash in my mouth." He said matter-of-factly.

"You aren't so busy with...Gyumao awake, no?" Nataku casually jabbed. "Wonder how that big goat is doing."

It was his turn to laugh. Kouryu's party should have been more entertaining to watch that his...efforts...to control Gyokumen and revive Gyumaoh.

"Wonder how that big goat is doing."

Ukoku drank from another cup before answering. Unlike the god, he was drinking more slowly.

"The big one? Very full of himself. He's convinced the 5-day darkness was caused by his awakening. He's proving to be worse than the she-goat. And, since he's just woken up, he's very grumpy."

[Nataku]

Nataku gave a small, demure burp.

"I expect he should be. Gave me a hard time, but then, I was only four feet tall when I fought him." He laughed again. "So the weaker frylings managed to escape my haphazard sealing eh?"

"Regrettably, yes." he answered with a small nod. Ukoku freed some of them himself, though. He had to look good to the 'boss' back then. "And now the little things are either playing around like drunken monkeys or dead."

The monk drank again, still very sober, and added truthfully, "I do hope you don't seal them again just yet. We haven't even reached the climax yet."

[Nataku]

"Regrettably, yes. And now the little things are either playing around like drunken monkeys or dead."

Nataku finished his 19th bottle of sake, earning himself a frightened look from the watching bartender.

"I do hope you don't seal them again just yet. We haven't even reached the climax yet."

The God of War laughed. "Oh no! I should say! I love watching their miseries from up high; I certainly would not deprive myself of much-needed entertainment!"

"Then I should say the entertainment will be as good as it always was." Ukoku replied with a small smile, pushing another bottle towards the War God. Probably more than any god, he loved the entertainment. All the better now that he was in the game as well.
