Our plot here at Gunshot is a messy one.

Timeline: present time.

The cogwheels of fate turn ever so slightly, ticking and churning with the flow of the universe. For good or ill, it turns, and things go on in time.

Predictable.

Entities fail to recognize the strengths of their will, the strength of their being. And in one big blow, the cogwheels crack. Giving way to something not even the gods would have thought possible. Heaven and Hell burst with frightening energy, a silent roar to change the turn of fate.

At the same moment, Nataku awakens and takes over Tenkai while down below, Gyumao revives with the use of Lirin's blood and gathers forces to make Nataku pay for his sealing. Nataku decides on his whim, giving gods the choice of just continuing their boring life, or do whatever they liked, so long as they didn’t cross him. Of course, not everyone agrees with this kind of logic, nor want a Toushin Taishi to lead Tenkai so some gods join Gyumao.in his fight to defeat Nataku. Meanwhile, on Gyumao’s side, not everyone agrees with him either. They had thought that they would finally have peace after Gyumao’s revival, not charge into a war that they knew they would not win. Who were they to challenge gods? Gods don’t die, demons do. Kougaiji’s mother tried to reason with Gyumao, to stop this nonsense but ended up getting killed instead by Gyoukumen and Gyumao. This fueled Kougaiji’s rage and found himself grudgingly allying himself with Sanzo and the others with a group of demons with him.

With these turn of events, even if Nataku did not desire changing the world, unexpected effects have come out, reviving some unexpected people. Homura, Zenon, Shien and Rinrei find themselves alive once more, as humans. The flora and fauna of the earth begin to recover, but an alarmingly fast pace, giving birth to strange and at times violent creatures in the wild. People are thankful that the negative wave was over, but occasional rogue gods, demons or wild creature disturb the peace once in a while, the price to pay for prosperity.

Kanzeon, even when Nataku takes over, still does as she pleases, going down to Togenkyou and informing Sanzo and allies of what they could do to stop what has been happening. It is, after all, to keep things interesting.
