![]() 1. Prophet is the largest city in New Jerusalem. It was much smaller before the rail came through. Sudden increase in size has left the Marshal/Sheriff understaffed. As a result bounties have been placed on many more individuals than usual, attracting bounty hunters to the city. Along with this, much of the politics in the town is blatantly corrupt. Has all the amenities a town can offer. Hotels, bars, and stores for most everything. The Golden Crown is a popular saloon, but not the only one. 2. Sendero is the largest city in Gran Luna. It was considered somewhat of the capital of the area already, so the increase in size was not as exponential as in Prophet. Law is more tightly controlled within the city than compared to Prophet, but very loosely policed outside of the city itself. Known for skilled horse breeders. 3. Rocas Blancas is a town in Gran Luna populated mostly by American Outlaws. Small amounts fled to the small town because of its land connection to New Jerusalem and quick nearby escape to the main part of Gran Luna. Many more soon followed the originals, and unlawful americans now are a majority. Practicer of, notably unjust, frontier justice. Named for white stone and sand present throughout the area. 4. Peregrino is a bit of the opposite of Rocas Blancas. An american town settled and populated mostly by mexicans seeking to better their life by moving to america. They still settled close to home. Illegal activity is present, but not nearly as bad as Rocas Blancas. 5. Red Hills is a mining town that has become more successful since the coming of the train. Most there are primarily mining for gold, and has only recently become more organized. The town is owned and operated by those that own the mine. 6. Known as Rio de los Santos in Gran Luna and Saint's River in New Jerusalem, the river serves as a natural border for part of Gran Luna and New Jerusalem. Plentiful fish means many small villages crop up along it. 7. Lake Deschain is a small freshwater lake located around where the desert begins to sprout more trees. Named for the man who founded Cool Water, Stephen Deschain. Many animals are present around the lake, making it a plentiful hunting spot as well as dangerous. 8. Coolwater is a medium sized town that popped up around the same time as Prophet. Probably would be dieing if not for it's presence on the lake. Common spot for Eastern 'adventurers' and a brief stop for many settlers moving in any numerous directions. There is debate within the community as to whether it should be Cool Water or Coolwater. They tend to take it too seriously. It appears differently from map to map, with the town still being too indecisive to decide. 9. The Black Cat Mountains (mostly located north of the dotted line) serve as a northern boundary to New Jerusalem. It's mostly bare rock, but noticeably cooler than the desert bellow. Cougars, Bears, Mountain Goats, and the like are present throughout the area, making it dangerous. Still, it is a common spot for many outlaws who can't flee into Gran Luna. Many don't survive. 10. Empire Rail moved in and built the Empire Line roughly a decade ago. It's brought far more settlers and resources to New Jerusalem and Gran Luna then were present before. And with the sheep comes wolves. Crime has gone up since it's arrival due to the increased population. Many blame it specifically for the increase in crime. 11. Fort Jackson is the the only US Military fort in New Jerusalem. It is not as heavily populated as many similar installations and the personnel tend to stay on the base or in towns. |
