Derringers
Originally named for Henry Deringer, these tiny pocket pistols were ideal for concealed carry by both men and women on the frontier. Philadelphia Derringer The original Derringer by Henry Deringer, this pistol was a .40 caliber black powder muzzleloader and was famously used by John Wilkes Booth to assassinate Abraham Lincoln.  Generic Derringer Any single shot cartridge firing derringer. Existed in a very wide variety of calibers.   Remington Double Derringer The Remington Derringer featured two barrels, one atop the other in a top break design. They fired metallic cartridges, and came chambered in .41 Remington Rimfire. Remington Rider
A small .17 caliber pistol, unique in that it required no powder to fire, only a bullet and a percussion cap.  Remington ZigZag A double action derringer chambered for .22lr. Holds an astounding six rounds in its six barrels.  |
