Army of the Dead Logs, day 29

Jalhalla:

Our grand battleship, the Jalhalla, is now built and ready to be loaded with cannons and crew. The defenses have been prepared. We are ready now to leave Headstone Island, and dive into the world of the light.

While General Stalragnos is meeting with the Elector Darknut, we've received two new letters from our Bubbles that went out on the sea. One was from far to the northeast, same general direction as Gohdan's realm though details remain foggy. This one was from a character named Zant, who, quite clearly, stated that he was no less than a foe of the light. Perfect. I've already prepared for our message out to him. No need to hide our identity from a friend who openly despises the light as we do.

"Zant,

I am Jalhalla, king of ghosts. I lie within an island to the southwest of your location, known as Headstone Island. My base is known as the Earth Temple, a once holy place of the light, now corrupted to serve me and my forces.

The beings underneath my command include thousands of Poes, Dark Chu-chus, and Redeads, and under the command of my lead General, Stalragnos, the Stalfos, Bubbles, and Floor Masters. We Poes completely and utterly hate the light. It does nothing but bring us harm. It turns our Chu-chus into solid statues. Poes are brought to their knees in the very face of it. Even our Redeads are harmed by it to a degree. Why does the Light bless and love some, only to scorn and harm us? Well, it's time that changed. Just as the Hylians of old were brought to the brink of extinction, to be replaced by the humans, and Zora's were erased from history, taken over by the Ritos, now the sovereignty the light holds upon the world will be taken from it. The world will belong to Shadow, and our kind will freely sail the seas as its new masters.

I assume if you hate the light, then you must be of shadow. In that case, I ask that we may ally together, to find a solution to rid the world of light and bring about our own new age. Our only wish is to walk in the world above as freely as the pathetic humans do. We need help to achieve this goal. My army is capable of crossing the sea in our new ship, so if you desire, we can make the journey to you, or likewise, you could come to us. Regardless, we must meet. Please reply.

Jalhalla"

A good letter, in my own opinion. It'll be sent immediately. The second letter was less satisfactory by far. The only reply was "So too as the light itself sways between shades of bright and dim, so too will our allegiance to it change as well." It's not even clear who sent this! We only know it again came from a locale to the northeast. We have no idea what this could mean, so our only choice is to send them the same reply as what we sent Gohdan.

"Meet us at our home. We are at an island known as Headstone Island, southwest of your position. Bring whoever you want, but please come as soon as possible. Preferably at night, to avoid the wrong people watching, if you catch my drift"

We'll give it to the same Red Bubble and have him bring back there. Hopefully that last line will convince him to come at night. No sunlight for them could mean a big advantage for us should these be the wrong people.

I should go invistigate now on Stalragnos' position. They've been talking for quite a while now....

The Mos-Les Tribe Day 28
Mother & Child Isles

General: Village Chief Agronak Ka'Malog
General: Warlord Shakh Ra'Magar

LOGS: Chief Ka'Malog
The city is only a day from completion. We only need some few details to complete but at last this civilization has a permanent home to call its own. We will soon move onto more specific tasks: equipping the navy, improving the training of our troops, defenses, and most importantly allies. There is no asset more important than a brother-in-arms.

The Elder, being a battleship, does not have the speed to perform reconnaissance. Not to mention it is not finished being equipped. A galley is to be built, The Spirit of the Hunt and will be fitted for speedy travel and light combat. It is my wish that this vessel will find us some much needed allies in this vast sea.

Live Action- Caspella:

Caspella walked into the bomb shop and spun her axe around her fingers with skill. She looked calmly around the room at the wares on the walls. She was then greeted by the shop keeper.

"Ah! Caspella! How did you..." The shop owner gasped.

"Get onto the island and all those bounties on my heads? I have my ways... But you have some explaining to do. I promised I'd leave your shipments alone and what do I get in exchange... But a million ruppee bounty?" Caspella pulled out a knife and put it in her mouth while spinning the axe around her fingers and pulling out another knife.

"Ca-Caspella, it wasn't me. I swear. Look, I'll give you as many bombs as you'd like. Free of charge. We're friends right?" The shop owner said shaking.

"No, give me a discount. I don't go back on my deals, and I expect you to do the same now." Caspella somehow said with the knife still in her mouth. She was able to put away one knife and pay for a hundred bombs. The shop keeper shook as he gave her the bombs for the Red Leviathan's Cannons.

"I trust you'll remove the bounty and I'll keep my end of the bargain. Should you go back on it, I'll make sure you never get a shipment of bombs to this island ever again." Caspella smiled as she put away her weapons and headed for the door.

Live Action- Vaati:

Vaati walked the streets of Windfall, trying to keep his face hidden from the people. He noticed that there was a lone tombstone on a hill and went to check it out. He noticed several arrows enscribed onto it. Vaati smiled, he knew this had something to do with the Windwaker. The sun was begining to sink behind the distant waters, dusk. As the orange sky reflected on the sea, Vaati found it easier to conceal his complexion and began to look on the streets for anyone that would know something about the tombstone. Vaati was un-accustomed to the manner of the people and looked rather suspicious. He would grab the arm of a person, look into their eyes and then push them along if they didn't look like they knew anything. But if they looked like they knew even a little bit about the statue, he asked them, quite rudely too. However, no one seemed to know anything... Vaati was frustrated. Not soon after, he and Caspella met up.

"I've got us some bombs for the ship. Any luck on your end?" Caspella asked.

"None." Vaati said.

Army of the Dead Logs, day 33

Jalhalla:

Not too much excitement. The meeting goes on still with Stalragnos and the Elector. I wonder what they're talking about? Well, it matters not. There's still more things to concern my self with. I've recieved no reply from either Zant or that second being that received the letter. I'm wondering if we should give our new ship a test run and head out ourselves... then again, it's best we wait for a reply. We need our only ship here should things go wrong with the meeting down below.

In other news, our second battleship, the Stalragnos will be complete in a matter of days. Soon, we'll have one more ship of terror to help rid the world of light. But we'll soon have to build smaller vessels, transports for our troops. We can't fit everyone in a few battleships, after all.

The Eternal Servants of the Great Zant

Zant's log: The Kargarocs are beginning to return from their first wood gathering. Even a few of them have left to get more wood. Now that we have resources, we can begin construction on a shipyard and fleet. I've ordered our Darknuts to begin constructing a shipyard, using the wood we're gathering and the metals we're finding in the mountain. It should be done in two weeks if all goes well. Then, one we can build ships, we can make the gathering of wood easier. Sure, it will be slower, but we will recieve more wood in the end. But enough of this boring talk of supplies for our army.

I have recieved another letter from the bubble that stopped by earlier. Apparently the original letter was sent by some Ghost king named Jahalla. I had thought that he meant the forces of light, but I do dislike the light itself. It makes most of my people, the Twili, fade like the Poes he speaks of. Unfortunate that I have no way of returning to my world. I guess this Light-World will have to do now. Maybe the shadow that Jahalla brings upon the world will be similar to the World of Twilight I lived in when I was a King. His dream sounds promising though. I like the way he thinks. Very well then. I will ally with this Jahalla, King of Ghosts. We'll need all the help we can get if we want to conquer the peoples of this Ocean. Finally, I will be able to conquer this land, the very thing that I had not been able to do song long ago.

Letters:
Dear Jahalla,
I see that you too have been affected by the light itself. I apologize for my rather quick letter last time. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Zant, Former King of the Twilight. You see, long ago, my people set out to gain the power that lied in the So-called "Sacred Realm," only to be betrayed by the "Godesses" as they call themselves. Bah. I despise them, and seek to find a way to destroy or dethrone them! Many of my people, the Twili, are also affected when in the very world of light! The majority of us are simply transparent when in the Light, not being able to interact with anything. The only reason I am not transparent in this world is because I was affected by my Master's magic. Unfourtunately, though a powerful ally, he is nowhere to be seen.

Very well then, I accept your offer for an alliance. I will come to you, however it will take some time. I have only begun to build a shipyard, and then I will build a ship. Once I am able to travel, I will send a message, and then meet with you or a representative on your island.

May Darkness forever surround you,
Zant."

Dragmo's Log Day 19

Great progress was made in the last few days. The stone shall be removed in about two days, finally once removed I will be sending out karagorc scouts to scout for geographical purposes and to see if any other armies have become active around the world.

We finished some major projects over the past few days. To start off, the armour for the stalfos has been fully restored and is now at least twice as durable. Along with that, my troops finally finished creating the new weaponse for the staflos. I immediatly demanded to see them. They were masturfually created without flaw. They created lovely swords, and dangerous axes. With these new weapons, my troops will be mroe of a threat, paired up with the resotred armour that is!

I made several interesting discoveries yesterday. For one, I found a unique weapon deep in the temple, its origin unknown, unlike its name. The "hookshot" as it is called, fires a chain that attaches itself to most surfaces. I was most intersted with this weapon, so I ordered the duplication of it to be used by my troops in battle. Such a unique weapon will prove most useful when combating other enemy armies. Another major discoverie that I made was the giant fans that were found deep within the temple. The fans, provide great blasts of wind, the wind generated could be used for a plethora of oher things, most notably boats. It is why, with great consideration that I throw the first portion of the Gale Navy into action with the replication of the fans so that they can fit of boats. The projects will take a while, but once completed, we will have the fastest boats in all the land!!

In addition, we have also recruited a plethora of troops into the army. The troops which are included are, 2,000 Kargorocs, 1,000 Floor Masters, and 1,000 wizdrobes.
End Log

New Projects:

Replicate Hookshot-0/15

Make smaller fans for boats-0/17

Projects:

Remove Stone-15/17
Restore Armor-12/12
Create New Weapons(Swords/Axes)-15/15

Makar

Linebeck has finally returned from his journeys. Along with him he brought...absolutely nothing. Or that is what I first thought. I've received word that he recruited...Kalle Demos for us. This is amazing. This brings about a new era of Forest-Haven unity. But...Linebeck was acting completely different when he got back. It was strange. Linebeck may yet prove to be the one in the prophecy. Deku Tree...you aren't insane after all, are you?

I'll be travelling to the Wind Temple on business. As the Sage there, I need to oversee what goes on there. Perhaps I can find something...or somebody to assist us in our ventures. It would be as worthwhile a prospect as anything else I am able to come up with. I am sending Hollo on an important trip for Potential Allies. A dark-sounding tribe has told us to meet them. However, things seem...shady. So not only will Hollo be escorted by a guard, but the meeting will be during the daytime. As well, the Deku Tree is granting Hollo the use of a certain item...one that should provide, according to the Tree "A light in dark times..." But I ramble. Since Linebeck has proved himself worthy, I see no other reason not to appoint him in full command whilst I and Hollo take our respective leaves. I can only hope that I do not steer us wrong...

We're running development on explosive pouches, to take advantage of our air superiority. An enemy can look forward to some nice, refreshing boom-death from us. We've got a variety of new plant species that we've researched, and now we can use their powders towards making poisons for our enemies, and stimulants and strength increasers for our own men. We now have all 50 islands of the Great Sea Mapped out fairly extensively. Our scouts reported no trouble, and things went smoothly. While Hollo is on leave, we're going to upgrade his laboratory so efficiency is increased. I hope he doesn't mind.

Steam Power. It's absolutely wondrous. In essence, what Steam Power does for us is act as a power source for our ship. But Hollo speculates that it could have other effects. In essence, the thermal energy that is created in the form of the steam moves turbines that are inside our ships. This allows the waterwhells to move, pushing the ships forward. It will be more extensive in terms of mechanics as we upgrade, but the initial ones are simple. We have, of course modified on Linebeck's original Ship design to include a floor that won't burn with the heat from the engine. This is a dangerous tool. We're going to have to be extremely careful in our progressions with it. For now, let's stick with the tried and true, and use it in our ships.

Hollo Live Action

Hollo was nervous. He had been summoned by the Ancient one, the Deku Tree. This very rarely happened. Despite often being alone with the Deku Tree, Hollo seldom spoke to the Tree out of shyness. For him to be summoned out of the blue was an honour. As he stood before the Deku Tree, he knew he had an important task ahead.

"Great Deku Tree...what is it you wish of me?" The timid Korok quietly asked.

"Ah, Hollo. You have come." The benevolent tree boomed. "I need to confer with you about your mission. These creatures are going to be potentially very dangerous. This is why Makar wishes for you to be escorted along with a guard. But I don't think this will be enough. For creatures such as these that loathe light, what can I offer you for greater protection than that which is the essence of light? Take these..." The Tree Said, shaking his great trunk and dropping down several Magical Deku Nuts. "Thank you...Great Deku Tree." Hollo said respectfully. "I'll make you proud!" "I know you will, my child. Be safe." With that, Hollo and his band of guards flew up, Hollo carrying several Deku Nuts for protection...

Leo's logbook: Entry 3

We have arrived at what I believe will be our "home" during our stay in this region. It is one sector west of Windfall, and of a much less suspicious shape than the other islands I have seen... this sea is very mysterious. But I will not concern myself with that.
After the bomb-shaped island, we traveled north. The first island was almost perfectly triangular. It also seemed to point to a tower I could see to the west.
We then moved northwest to another strange island, this one heart-shaped. There was a strange conch-shaped object projecting from the center of the island, and even stranger, it seemed to be made of metal, but it did not look artificial. There seemed to be an entrance, but it was impassably blocked. I felt it might be all the better...
We traveled west after that. This next island was completely identical to the triangular island. It even pointed to the tower, which was southeast. I must find out what these islands are for. My curiosity has been piqued.
Finally, we moved northwest to the island we are on now. This one at least appears to be natural. It also appears to have once been inhabited. Remnants of a bridge spanning the island's two hills can be seen, and there is a fort-like structure on the larger hill, with a ruined cannon in it. I have no use for cannons, but the fort is an ideal campsite. There is even some roof left.
I had planned to first stop at Windfall - and I can tell it is a proper city from the smoke rising from chimneys and the sails of busy ships fluttering around it - but to my dismay, it seems to be completely city. No place to hide a dragon from view anywhere on it, it seems. This may be difficult. But our rations are still sufficient for a little over a month, so I have time to make plans. I will scout the island at night, looking for a possible place to hide Kalaverix while I run my errands.

Update: Location change: Bomb Island -> Spectacle Island

(I do hope I never have to go to the Angular Isles. I don't think I can come up with words appropriate for that place.)

Army of the Dead Logs, Day 42.

Jalhalla:

Stalragnos is still going on with his meeting, but it sounds to me like we've got their alliance. If the Gods are on your side, that's a good sign. And as far as other allies go, we've finally gotten a reply from Zant. According to this, he is the King of the Twilight. I don't know much of this Twilight. He didn't really explain what it was in the letter. But from the sounds of it, this Twilight is at least helpful to him. The effects of light on him and my Poes sounds more or less alike, so could this Twilight be some twisted take on light? I have no clue.

"Dear Zant,

It is a pleasure to know that we can now work together to rid this world of the light you and I both despise. However, I've never heard anything of this "Twilight" you speak of it. It sounds as if to take away the Light, we must usher in this Twilight that you rule over. However, I have no idea what effects it may have on non-Twili, as you call them. We are grateful for your offer of coming here, but if it's okay with you, we'd prefer to come there. We have our own ship, built and ready to go. Well, almost. Still need to load a few things, but we'll leave in a matter of days. I wish to go and see this Twilight for myself. We'll follow the Bubble that found your island, and meet you there as soon as possible. Thank you again for your help, Zant.

Glory to the Darkness,
Jalhalla"

We'll begin prepping the Jalhalla, and leave the Stalragnos to guard the base. I was thinking about fortifying that ship, anyway. I intend to leave personally. The light of day will not stop me or my conquest.

Army of the Dead Logs, day 48

Jalhalla:

My ship is ready. We have 500 troops and 50 cannons loaded onto a 162.5 feet long ship. The journey to Zant's island could very well be a long one, and we don't know what we could encounter along the way. The sea isn't always a friendly place. Thus, no chances will be taken. I'm going along personally to view this "Twilight" that Zant spoke of, as I'm very curious what the effects of it on Poes are.

Since me and my Poes will be forced inside the cabin or below deck during daylight hours, I've elected a Captain to man the ship in my absence. He's a strong Stalfos, and I have the utmost confidence in him. The Jalhalla is now officially placed under control of Captain Deyembers. Not as big or as smart as Stalragnos, but he's good with a sword and can command with the best of them. He'll do a fine job.

I'm leaving Stalragnos in charge in my absence, and I'll be leaving the defense of the Earth Temple to him.

Draconic Alliance Record 1
Day1:
The enormous ships rotting hull splintered on the beach. A crow squawks and flies away as a torrent of swearing begins from inside.

Small chunks of the hull continue to fall off the huge ship. From inside the ship the swearing continues to intensify. Eventually Alcharan emerges from the ship bypassing any gangways and walking strait through the hole. He is followed by the Royal Sonril with their serpent mounts.

Nearby on the beach other ships of equal size splinter and Armatura emerges from the ship nearest Alcharan. The rest of the troops are rapidly leaving the ships and spreading out on the beach.

Armatura waited for Alcharan’s swearing to cease before he spoke: "this appears to be the end of our voyage Alcharan. All of our troops are tired and the ship..."
The ship Alcharan sailed on collapses onto the beach. Among the floating debris it can be seen that the hull of the gargantuan vessel had been rotten and covered in barnacles and these still afflict the remaining pieces of wood, which are rapidly being swept away by the tide.

Alcharan groaned and said,” You’re right of course, we've already lost enough men on this blasted voyage. I only hope that the rest of our people along with Layat and Resilo make it here safely. It would be nice to know how they are doing. We've no word from anyone other than the other ships with us for several years now."

The other ships collapse one by one and the debris are swept into the sea. The order is given to rest and find any water or food other than the supplies that remain from the ships. The real work of establishing a true city would begin tomorrow.

Outstretched Shadow
Generals: Dark Link, Doc Bandam, Midna
Base: Pawprint

Dark Link Log: The newly spacious caverns are quite comfortable and roomy. Finally, I have my own quarters, away from all these chus. The doctor chose to remain with chus, but as they're his area of interest, it's fairly unsurprising. I have a great appreciation for privacy, unlike him. Strange how I bottle myself up just after escaping that bottle.

A newcomer has entered our midst. A small implike creature with an attitude. Her name is Midna. And she has a giant orange arm growing out of her head. Obviously the most attractive possible feature. I'd roll my eyes here, except most can't tell when I roll my eyes. Their status of being completely crimson makes their focal point impossible to locate. Being sarcastic is so very incredibly easy with eyes like this.

I'm not entirely sure where Midna came from. She essentially just popped out of nowhere. And she was another curiosity to the doctor, so she gets to stay. I'd be less perturbed if she couldn't walk through walls. As it stands, her hairhand is creeping me out. Particularly since that helmet she wears looks oddly familiar...
End Log

Doc Bandam Log: That imp girl Midna showed up! I don't know where from! Oh well!

We made the Scatterglass and Magnifying lenses, and energy integration too! Scatterglass lets me separate energy, energy integration does what it says(though it's more of a technique than an object), and magnifying lenses not only magnify, but let you see the invisible as well! That's how I found Midna! I guess she was kind of just hanging out here before!

So I'm doing all sorts of weird stuff with the chus, but the exciting project is the Lighthouse of Truth! All the beamos firing into a giant spherical Scatterglass surrounded by a round magnifying lens! We'll always be lit outside, and nothing invisible can stay invisible near our island! Well, not once it's finished, at least. The light should be visibly from nearby islands, even, though the truth effects will be gone.

Oh well!
End Log

Midna Log: Teehee. They found me. Now I'm finding their stashes of peanuts.
End Log

The Winds of Change

Medli's Log
Log #1; Day #1

So . . . Cyclos insists that as 'most-illustrious-leader', I must keep a logbook. About what? I have no idea. Nothing very interesting has even happened so far; I still hardly know what's going on. It's been a fortnight since my return to Dragon Roost Island, and the situation is, according to Zephos, quite extreme. From their observations, war between 1000 different factions is close to breaking out, and the Ritos have watched for quite some time with bated breath. Those rotten ghosts who tried to serve me up for lunch at the temple have a huge army of undead, there are reports of some strange disturbances near Fire Mountain, and all hell is breaking loose.

This is all according only to those silly gods. Personally, I trust them about as far as I can throw them. Which isn't very, since my hand tends to go right through; causes the most awful chill.

Anyway, the Rito realized who I was straight off the bat and were quite happy to see me. No thanks to Cyclos creating a giant foghorn to announce my landing. And before I could manage to get a word out, they had proclaimed that my return was a sign from the goddesses, and that I was to lead them into battle. Battle against what? And what about their king? Apparently, they don't like him very much. The poor man was called all sorts of terrible names, the least of which was 'pacifist'. So Opinicus and I are their destined saviors or whatnot, and I'm still getting over the shock of almost being eaten by ghosts myself. (How does that work? Really, ghosts shouldn't be able to eat anything.) They've had quite a few feasts in our honor, but we are to begin proper negotiations tomorrow. As lighthearted as this all may sound, they're completely serious. War is starting, and the Ritos want nothing more than to amass as large an army as they can in order to defend themselves. Some of the most radical even want to become conquerers, but that's entirely out of the question.

Opinicus, of course, has no opinion about anything. Contrary to his name. Two weeks and I still know nothing about the man who saved my life. I've considered the possibility that it's somebody I may have once known, but I don't think it's quite likely. Anyway, he's an absolute genius about this sort of thing. If he weren't around, I don't know what I'd do. I passed on Cyclos's words to him as well, because my log is likely to be utterly useless. I hope he listens.

Opinicus's Log
Log#1; Day #1

Met with Jahari. Earned his support and archers.
Spoke with Peahats.
Spoke with Kargarocs.
Negotiations with female belonging to Jahari. More archers.
Tomorrow -- Meeting with K'an and warriors. Have 100 Eggs as payment.

Sent elders to library for information.
Sent scouts to find Rito King.
Sent scouts to Kargaroc main breeding ground.
Sent five Kargarocs to Temple of the Earth.
Appeased Pluri.
Failed to appease Yoric. Slew Yoric.

Spoke to Medli. Was unsure as to her desires concerning a log-book.
Spoke again to Medli. Was told that a logbook was for events concerning the war, for actions I have taken, for conversations that occurred, and for feelings. Was told that the last was particularly important. Disagreement. I do not feel that feelings are important.
Spoke to Zephos. Was told that shacking up with Medli would be hot. Disagreement. I am not warm-blooded. I am incapable of being hot.
Spoke to Pluri. Was offered friendship.
Spoke to nestling formerly belonging to Yoric. Was thanked.

I feel logbooks are not useful.

End Log for Day #1.

The Eternal Servants of the Great Zant

Zant's Log: The Shipyard is done. After 2 weeks, we can now build ships. I have ordered them to build just one large ship for now. It will serve as the capital ship of our fleet. I don't know what I will call it yet though. More importantly, a letter arrived the other day from Jalhalla. He's coming to meet me here in my Mountain. However, he will most likely be dissapointed when I tell him that there is no way of getting to the Twilight that I know of. The only way to it was destroyed long ago. However... if I found the man I served long ago, perhaps he could find a way to get into the Realm. But the question is... would the Twilight, or the state of it when I ruled it, actually affect the Poes positively or not? Hopefully so. Otherwise, Jalhalla's people allying with us will probably not be too useful to their cause.

We've decided to begin recruiting more forces. Now that this army is making some progress, we're going to need much more soldiers. I've recruited 500 Darknuts to my cause. Hopefully the Inquisitor will not "execute" any of the new recruits out of suspicion. Speaking of Kalthos, I'm considering allowing him to keep a logbook again. Last time he kept one, he only used it to compile a list of reasons to execute people. Hopefully he won't try to do anything to our new ally while he's here. I'll order my soldiers to keep an eye on Kalthos. I think his suspicions are starting to get to me aswell. I'm starting to think that he might be trying to find reasons for executing people. Let's hope not.

Leo's logbook: Entry 4.5

I've found it... a place to land on the west side of town. A small jutting rock just above sea level, with enough room underneath for Kalaverix. One can only see into the alcove underneath if they went under there intentionally. I will set out tonight, and record the rest of this entry when I return...

Live action

It was a slightly foggy night, much to Leo's relief, as he closed in on Windfall. The dragon touched down lightly on the beach. Leo noticed a stone object on the ledge above the alcove, but that didn't concern him...

"Wait here," Leo said quietly as he slung a large backpack over his shoulder, "and stay silent."

I will.

Leo took a sheet of paper, which, judging by its state, had seen several uses too many, from his pocket and unfolded it. At the top of the list was New map, followed by various and sundry things you would expect to see on a grocery shopping list. Leo estimated a trip of about two hours.

He was a little surprised at the number of people out on the streets at this hour. Not normal for a city of this size, he thought. He scanned the crowd, as if their faces read in plain text what the city was like. They almost did. Half of the faces looked angry, most of them angry at someone in particular. He hoped none of them were angry at him, and headed for the nearest convenience store...

General: Warlord Shakh Ra'Magar

LOGS: Chief Ka'Malog
At last we have a city to call our own home. The residential districts has been set. We must now move our sights onto the equipping of our navy. Cannon foundries are to be built so that we may have the standard fleet. The Spirit of the Hunt will set out on recon in two weeks and it must be equipped by then. A city hall is also to be built as a government center and a place to train new leaders. Our foothold on this island is complete and now we must set out toestablish our presence in this region.

Army of the Dead logs, day 54.

Stalragnos:

My meeting with the Darknut is on a temporary hold. Just enough time for me to make a quick log.

Jalhalla has now left, and has left me in charge of the base in his absense. We've begun a few projects:

One, the battleships won't be able to do all the fighting themselves. They're too slow, and can be taken over by smaller ships in large numbers. Thus, we've begun the construction of the Deyember-class Frigates, named after their designer, the newly promoted Captain Deyembers. We currently have 4 frigates, with more on the way. These little guys will go a long way towards helping us in the naval battles to come.

We've also began constructing a Siege Works, as artillery will be necessary should we be facing an in-land fortress that the cannons on the ships won't be able to reach. We've begun design of a "Bone cannon", a form of artillery that can be easily transported over rough terrain, unlike the stationary cannons on the ships.

Medli's Log
Log#2, Day #3

Some interesting things going on around our base. Somehow, Opinicus has taken charge completely of the war operations while still maintaining the illusion that I know what I'm doing. That's not to say I've been entirely useless, though. I've spent the last several days scouring the old castle for anything that might be able to help our cause; there are a lot of old books and artifacts lying around. Actually, I found my old harp locked away in the Vault as a "Priceless Relic Once Used by the Lost Sage of Earth, Medli." Hee-hee! I found that quite funny, for some reason. Anyway, Cyclos and Zephos have mentioned that if I'd like, they can teach me some useful songs beside that stuffy old Earth God's Lyric. Right now, though, I just haven't the time.

The elder Ritos who still remember how to use the antiquated library system have come up with all sorts of useful books and diagrams and charts. A bunch of them blabber on about old mythology -- the Ancient Temples of Fire, Wood, Shadow, and others lost to time. A few detail the use of melodies when played by a magical artifact, which I suppose was what the wind gods were getting at. The last ones, the ones that really sparked Opinicus's interest, were ancient texts depicting weapons and techniques the Ritos used to utilize in war. There are so many! But he's picked out the two he thinks are most useful and asked our linguists to try and puzzle out their meaning. The first depicts what seems to be a bow shooting down a star in the sky. The second, a cluster of Ritos producing a massive tornado with their wings.

The Kargarocs that Opinicus sent to their breeding grounds have returned -- with practically their entire species behind them! I was shocked when I looked out the window one day to see the sun practically blotted out from the sky. I don't know what Opinicus promised them (if I recall correctly, Ritos have never gotten along very well with the carnivorous birds), but they seem content simply to mill about our island without any sort of direction. A few of them are even quite friendly; a small one I've named Teri brings me a dead mouse every morning. Opinicus does seem to have a way with these monsters . . . The small cluster of Peahats living near the rocky shoals listen to every word he says, too.

On a final note, I found some time to slip away this morning and scale the island. To my great surprise, the Great Valoo was no longer there. Just . . . vanished. I asked around discreetly and was told that the sky spirit had been gone for quite some time. It's . . . a bit distressing, really. Cyclos and Zephos know something, I'm sure. But they won't talk.

Live action

Night fell yet again, and the streets became remotely navigable. Leo was apalled at the sheer number of people on the island. During the daytime, it was - this is not an exaggeration - impossible to get anywhere in the crowd. He may as well have tried to walk on top of the crowd. Apart from the mild wiggling, it might have been just the same as any other ground.

Making sure nobody was watching, he rounded the stone precipice and into the alcove. Kalaverix was sleeping. "Was" being the key word. Kalaverix is never sleeping when you set your eyes on him, because - this is also not an exaggeration - he can hear you coming a mile away. Usually. If you tied pillows to your shoes and walked very lightly, you might get away with nine-tenths.

Are you ready to leave?

"Yes," he confirmed, brandishing a new chart as evidence. He would have thrown the other map away, but he knew he should save it. Everything has a use after you've been camping for eight years. Everything.

He loaded everything into the saddle bags and climbed aboard...

Leo's logbook: Entry 4

Windfall Island is the busiest town I have ever laid eyes on, much less visited. How can there be so many people on such a modest island? Space must be distorted there - you would need a whole extra spatial dimention to hold all those people. I was successful, however, in completing my errands, and I have a map that is remotely usable now. More than remotely, actually. This is one of the better-quality maps I have owned...
This island I am on now is called Spectacle Island. Looking from the top of the hill, I guess it is sort of shaped like glasses. Are there no islands on this sea that look only like islands? If there are so many shapes and likenesses on this ocean, maybe that Tingle is least justified for mapping it like a child's drawings. Least, of course.
I do appreciate one detail: islands with civilizations on them are clearly marked. Windfall seems to be the Sea's largest city. From my observations, this is completely true. Other towns marked are Outset Island and Dragon Roost Island.
Dragon Roost Island sounds like someplace I may wish to visit sometime. If there are other dragons on this sea, it would greatly benefit both Kalaverix's recovery and my own research to see them. Although, if I do visit that place, and there are in fact dragons there, I will no longer be able to hide Kalaverix's presence. The dragons would probably be able to smell Kalaverix. Hmm...
Well, that is a bridge to cross some other time. I grow tired now.

The Joker walked out of the alleyway with blood dripping from his hands. It certainly took some convincing, but the shopkeeper had agreed to provide the Joker with all of the materials he'd need. For no charge! Of course, it wasn't every day a white skinned, green haired man came bursting into your shop while you slept and murdered your wife in front of your very eyes.

But no, Joker had all he needed now. Wood paneling, paint, a large spring, various other materials. All he had to do now was build the damn thing, at that wouldn't take long at all. Yes, it was a fine time for the Joker to spread his joy to the citizens of Windfall. Of course, it would take two days to complete the present.

After the party it would be time to find Harley.

((Note to BlueRouge and Greetings. If post too long, please note Opinicus's section. If willing for negotiations, please mail. I do not know if you two are still active.))

Winds of Change
Day #8

Medli's Log
Log #3

It's been . . . interesting. An interesting few days. I'm not sure exactly how to describe it faithfully, but everything just happened so fast. Opinicus told me of his plan to try and revive the Bomb Flower, so the two of us, along with Jahari, Pluri, and some of our best Rito warriors ventured into the old ruins yesterday morning. What happened up there. I'm still not sure what happened up there.

Live Action

"The best chance we have of finding the Bomb Flower will be in a dank, dark environment. It might seem counterintuitive, but Bomb Flowers actually grow best when not exposed to the sun. It's unlikely that we'll be able to find any fully mature ones, so be on the lookout for red-colored grasses." The young Rito fledgling, barely even deserving to be called an adult, shifted uncomfortably as he gestured off to the side with his wing. He was still having trouble maintaing coherency in front of . . . her, let alone giving instructions. To think that he would have the opportunity to serve the great Priestess in such a fashion . . . Inconceivable!

"Thanks, Pluri. I'm glad there are at least a few of our people still interested in the aspirations of the mind, rather than of the body." Medli flashed a quick smile that melted Pluri's knees before she turned back towards the cloaked, shadowy figure behind her. "Opinicus?" When he refused to respond, the girl shrugged and pointed towards the passageway leading east. "Alright, then. Opinicus, the two of us will head off that way. Jahari, Pluri -- Please be safe." With another grin of reassurance, the girl and the silent man quickly disappeared into the closer cavern, followed by half a dozen of Jahari's archers.

Watching them go, Pluri heaved a sigh before half-heartedly nodding at his companion, a strong, axe-wielding fellow who clearly knew how to handle himself in battle. Jahari's wings were decorated with multiple stripes, symbolic of his masterful fighting techniques and skills -- Pluri's, by contrast, were bare save for their natural, flame-red feathers. "Hey, Jari?" A nickname from infancy that had stuck. "You think I have a chance?"

" . . . Just keep moving." Jahari gently grabbed his friend by the wingtip and bodily dragged him down along the passage.

Some time later, Pluri was starting to regret having asked to come along on the expedition. For one thing, he wasn't anywhere close to Medli. For another, the color red seemed to have vanished completely from these caves. The color blue, however, as seen on Bokoblins and Deku Babas, were evident in ample supply, and Pluri's shooting arm was starting to get quite tired. "According to the most recent map, the two passages meet in a large, central cavern filled with quartz crystals. I doubt we'll be finding anything useful in there." The young Rito prodded a spot on the map about two rooms away from the Quartz Room. "I think we're here, Jari."

" . . . Jahari?" Glancing around, he frowned. "Come on. That's not funny. Where did you guys -- !!!" With a sharp intake of breath, Pluri stifled a gasp. Then he thought better of it and screamed as loud as he possibly could.

End

What we saw when we reached that room. Blood everywhere. Pluri, stricken on the ground. Jahari and his five archers, vanished. A terrible, terrible creature; I cannot begin to describe it. Legs and claws, hair everywhere. What seemed to be saliva, burning holes through the rock wall. We could see only the backside as it fled, seeming to melt straight into the shadows cast by the lantern light. We have no idea how it escaped or where it went, but apparently, Pluri's scream had shocked it enough to save his life. If the warriors had been less dignified . . .

The ruins have been closed. Nobody is allowed inside until we know what's going on. Pluri is still unconscious; we hope he may be able to shed some light for us upon these occurrences, as he is our primary source of information on the fauna and flora on Dragon Roost Island. In a shocking coincidence, Pluri's final action was to throw the lantern at the creature who assaulted him -- He panicked and threw it in the completely wrong direction, of course. But it landed on its side, illuminating a small crack within the rock wall that would have been impossible to see had the lantern not lain in that exact position. Inside? Three strands of red grass. A lesser botanist has positively identified it as the seedling of a Bomb Flower.

On a more positive note, the Kargarocs that Opinicus sent to Fire Mountain have returned with positive news and more allies. Opinicus understands the language of the birds, I believe, but he refuses to divulge the information that was obtained about that island. The ones sent to the Earth Temple have yet to return; we fear they may have run into some calamity. Morale is low, though even more of the featherfolk have trickled into the camp. All have heard the news; it spread like wildfire over the base. We hold a service in memory of Jahari and his five soldiers tonight.

Opinicus's Log
Log #3

Scholars promise the Longbow will soon be developed fully.
The families/tribes of Katherina, Lauli, Hautori join us. Over the past few days came Yazu, Johan, Kikli, Ghani, and Fury.
Still no sign of Rito King. If no one is contacted, we will move into the castle.
Kargarocs return from Fire Mountain. Report of "Shadow Man" who "use our friends and family". Conclusion drawn that hostile forces rest only about 30 miles away. I have chosen not to spread this news.
Earth Temple Kargarocs still missing. Concern.

Sent more Kargarocs to Fire Mountain. Possibility of convincing more family/friends to stay neutral or even to join our side.
Incubating Bomb Flower seedlings.
Healers and herbalists working on cure for Pluri. Promised results soon.
Sent few Kargarocs into Ruins. Request assistance from fellow monsters.
Sent scouts to all neighboring islands. Crescent Moon, Seven Star, Overlook, Pawprint, Flint Control, Eastern Fairy, and Star Archipelago. Surprises unwanted.

Met with Jahari's successor, named after the former King Komali. Expressed condolences. Agreed to host promotion ritual.
Spoke with Medli. Was told that she feels emotion of fear and anxiety. Offered comfort. Was expressed emotion of surprise.
Visited with Pluri. No conversation occurred.
Spoke with K'an. Was informed of strange reports from the uninhabited side of the island. Possibility of Rito King?
Spoke with Cyclos. Was informed that the creature was unknown to them.
Spoke with Zephos. Was informed that brother is, unfortunately and surprisingly, correct.

I feel tired.
I feel . . . sadness? Guilt?
I feel Medli is possibly correct. I feel logbooks may be more useful than initially though.

+1000 Kargarocs (Most from previous post that was not allowed then.)
+1500 Ritos

General: Village Chieftan, Agronak Ka'Malog
General: Prime Warlord, Shakh Ra'Magar
General: Warlord. Graskh Gro'Kalar

LOGS: Chief Ka'Malog
The great halls of my fathers have been constructed. It will be the center point of all of the tribe's businesses. To serve as a personal guard of the leaders, we have recruited the top warriors of the tribe to serve as our honor guard. If the need to send the standing army abroad then we will have an urban law enforcement. That need will never come to reality I hope. The captain of this guard has been handpicked by me, Graskh, a warrior second only to Shakh, will head the guard. I have faith that he will be a capable leader.

The foundries are almost complete. We must arm The Spirit of the Hunt quickly so that we can map the surrounding area. The Shamen are also requesting a temple to our gods. I am inclined to fulfill this for the people need a place to worship, for we must have thanks for finding this safe haven at last.

LOGS: Graskh Gro'Kalar
The Chieftan has called me to become a warlord! A great honor indeed. He may be young but wise. This tribe is making a rise to the top! I am overseeing the latest project, a temple for our shamen to work their rituals in. An important job indeed! I must take my new postion with honor and responsibility, may prosperity come to our people.

Alcharan Log:
We’ve done well here on this island so far. We have a camp set up, even if it is slightly poor quality. We need to find a way to fix that that soon.

Additionally, our scouts have completed a map of this island. There seems to be an ample supply of resources here.

As for food, the ocean is full of fish. We need only fly a short distance above the sea and we can see the schools of fish swimming in the water. After that it’s fairly simple to swoop down and catch them.

We've also managed to find a few trees here which should be decent building material. I've assigned several men to cut them down and return them to camp. Once there, the wood will be used to build up our camp.

First order of business is to build up a better base even if it will only be a bunch of shacks with tent cloths for roofs. At least we won't have to sleep on the ground. Additionally we're building a watch tower and shipyard. Hopefully we'll still have enough wood left over to build ships...

We've found some springs near enough to our camp that it’s easy to get water whenever we need it so we don't need to fear dying of thirst. I've assigned several Celifi who have a passion for cooking to look into cooking fish. They've already tried
several methods none of which have been to good. I'd say the worst was when they burned a blueish striped fish and then boiled it for an hour. I don't even like to think about it...

I hope that some of the troops on the transports that sunk while we were at sea survived. If they did than with any luck they’ll be able to find their way here....

I hope Layat and Resilo make it here safely. There’s a good chance they won't if they run into the same problems we did. Our ships couldn't have sailed another hundred meters when we landed.

End
Armatura log:
This island is beautiful. If you look at the sea while the sun is rising or setting the light reflects off the water for a brilliant effect. The air is fresh and a bit salty and there aren’t any highly dangerous animals living here to my knowledge

I recently received a copy of the map our scouts made of this island. It seems that there is a settlement on the other side. Perhaps the people there might be friendly. I think I'll get some men together and take a look in a few days.

There’s something strange here to. I don’t know what but something or someone is here that we don’t know about…
Sometimes the fish abruptly swim away even if no one has done anything to disturb them. A few of our men report having seen strange shadows in the water.

End

Resilo log:

I'm getting tired of sailing. Nothing happens at all. So far the most violent storm we've seen pushed us maybe two knots faster than we were going before.

We set off about three months after Alcharan and Armatura left. They went ahead to establish a base and ensure the area was safe before we arrived.

I believe we may actually have gained on them. We’ve had fairly good winds and the few ships we’ve encountered said that there had been storms in the direction we heading a while back.

I estimate that once they’ve stopped it will take us about two months to catch them… two months. Great…

End

Reinforcements lead by Layat and Resilo- 52 days away

The Order of the Black Dragon
Generals:
Vaegard, Helmaroc King, Argillac Riesling, Varroq
Bases: Auction House

Argillac's Log, Day 85
Has it truly been almost two months since I last wrote in this? As busy as I've been, it's still difficult to believe I've neglected it so long...

My tribesmen have all arrived, though I am told the rest of the Church's army is en route, along with the High Priest and most of the clergy. This...will not end well. The city is already overflowing. Lord Vaegard has begun construction of a new wall around the city, and ordered them to live between that wall and the existing ones, but even that may not be enough to contain them all. And while our supplies remain ample for now, I doubt we will be able to feed them all forever.

But despite these problems, the Sheikah tribe and the Church are united once more beneath a single banner. At last, the Order of the Black Dragon lives again.

Also, the High Priest has sent us a man named Varroq who, according to the letter, is the Church's chief intelligence officer. While I have no reason to doubt his aptitude, the man's...eerie. So far, no one has seen what he looks like beneath his cloak and mask. Rumors have begun to spread amongst that he's truly some sort of monster. I've ordered some of my men to prevent these rumors from spreading further. The populace is already quite displeased with the current overcrowding. Such rumors about one of our officers will only worsen the situation.

Our first ship has long since been completed. It still needs to be crewed, armed, and named, however. I've given orders for it to be fitted with cannons. It's estimated that this will take twenty four days.

Master Beyard's research on the card has long since finished, and decks of them have been made for both myself and Varroq. Mass-production of them has begun, at the rate of a hundred decks a day. They shall be standard issue for our Assassins, and possibly, in the future, other troops as well.

It is estimated that the construction of Lord Vaegard's wall will take forty eight days.
-End Log-

Varroq's Log, Day 85
Just a bit longer. Fifteen centuries it's been, since I fled into the Woods when we were routed at Goron City, and was Lost... Fifteen centuries in this wretched, undead form, forced to hide beneath cloak and mask to protect myself from light, and to walk safely amongst the living... But soon, gods willing, the world shall at last be united beneath our banner, and I shall finally allow myself to rest...Soon...

Live Action

"Damn this thing is heavy. They sure as hell better like my present! Especially after all of the hard work I went through," said the Joker as he pulled a large box towards the center of town.

The box was wrapped in purple paper with a large bright green ribbon tied around it. The top of the ribbon was on the same level as the second story windows of several of the town's buildings. It's wooden wheels made quite a racket as they moved over the cobblestone streets. By the time it had reached its destination, a decently sized crowd had appeared. The Joker leaped on top of the box and began to address the gaggle of people.

"Ladies and gentlemen! So glad you could make it today, after all this is a one-day only event! I look around at your faces and I see the joy, the glee, that is evident in your faces! Yes, this large present is for you, for all of you. Look I even made a tag." The Joker pulled a small string and a tag fell out, reading 'From: Mr. J, To: You!'. He leaped down into the crowd before continuing.

"Now now kiddies, don't be shy. This is a gift to all of you to show how I really feel about you and this town. And of course it's a message to the administration as well! Yes, it really is a gift for everyone so go ahead and open it! I promise you you'll find something you've all been waiting for." He turned and muttered something under his breath, "Death."

He began walking towards the Shades. Even there a small group had gathered to watch what was happening. "You folks are not gonna believe this."

Someone walked up from the crowd around the present and pulled the ribbon. Suddenly the top flew back, and a giant jester's head flew out, with hands flopping eerily by its side. Confetti flew out as well, scattering in the wind. The people's faces barely had time to show their confusion before the bombs went off.

The box was ripped apart as shrapnel flew about, slicing through the people's bodies. The ones closest to the present were killed nearly instantly, with people ten feet away or so sustaining bad injuries. The nearby buildings took minor damage, mostly just superficial. People ran screaming from the center of the town, crying for their loved ones, crying for help. One man laughed, his voice clear and high among the chaos he had caused.

The Joker turned to the horrified crowd that remained in the Shades. "One of you little kiddies better run along and tell that sweetie Victor about this present. Especially since I'm feeling like giving gifts to everyone."

Army of the Dead logs, day 82

Jalhalla:

Finally. It's been an interesting four weeks on the Jalhalla, but we've finally arrived. Up ahead lies the island that our Bubble found Zant upon. It's a like a flaming volcano in the middle of the ocean. One heck of a place to build a base. It'll be day when we arrive, so Captain Deyembers will have to go in my stead until nightfall. I can't wait to see what this Twilight is like. It may be our best hope of replacing the accursed sun. We arrive within a few hours. Let's hope Deyembers is a more capable diplomat than navigator...

Stalragnos:

Progress has been great these last four weeks. We now have 10 frigates to support the larger battleships, and our land artillery is finally about to get underway. Next on the agenda, I plan to build small transports. These transports will have little to no weaponry, but in return, they'll be cheap, quick to build, speedy, and be able to carry a large amount of troops for their size.

I've made my decision. If our war on the light is to begin, we must first attack the humans, the precious denizens of the light. The Elector Darknut was kind enough to mention Windfall Island, an island chuck-full of unworthy, ungrateful surface dwellers. They'll be our first target. While Jalhalla deals with Zant, I'll ask Gohdan and his forces for assistance.

We attack soon, but I first need those transports and those land cannons. Artillery and effecient water travel will be necessary. First things first though.

"Dear Gohdan,

I have met and spoken with your Elector Darknut. I pleased to say that our meeting went very well, and Elector told me that we could indeed be allies. He thinks very highly of our goal to wipe out the light and all the ungrateful denizens of this world who waste it on violence and hate. I'm hoping he's already explained the situation to you, as I now have a proposition.

I've spent the last 3 months preparing a force and building a fleet to wage war on the pitiful humans. Our army is now over 50,000 strong. We have 2 powerful battleships and 10 supporting frigates, capable of transporting, all together, 4000 of those troops across seas. Once I perfect our smaller transports, we'll be able to move much more. I've decided, once our fleet is ready, to attack the island of Windfall, a prime example of humans' corruption according to your Elector. I seek an ally in this attack, and I'm hoping you can join our cause. Please respond,

General Stalragnos"

I'll also send a warning to the Jalhalla. We'll need both our battleships, and if Jalhalla was successful, we may be even able to include Zant in our attack.

Linebeck Log:

I'm keeping things brief. Our army has gotten gigantic. It's...huge. To think, had it not been for the magic green midgit's map, I'd never have gotten here. It's sad that I'm going to kill heem with my bare hands once I catch him. We recently recruited butterflies. They're...quite pretty. Don't know if they'll do much, except stun people with their...prettiness. At least, that's what I thought until one of the bastards laid eggs on me. So now I'm writing this log where I was 14 hours ago. Actually, Journal, did you know that sitting in the same place for 14 hours causes moss to begin to form on you? I didn't know that.

In other news, I have acquired a spiffy new cape. Among other...green shiny things I discovered. And yet, I don't know how I got any of them. My raw awesomeness must've called them to me. Oddly enough, the cape is black inside, unlike my white cape. And it's reversible. Equally spiffy.

Our new ships are done. Like all wooden things, they seem flammable. They're powered by steam, and so work remarkably well for traversing the high seas. Our new Exploding Boomerangs are complete. On a completely unrelated note, I'm also banned from the Lab. Wonder why? The Deku Tree has begun to give off Deku Nuts. Why? It's a secret to everyone. More Naval Research has begun, and we're upgrading the butterflies to Moths. Wait...that doesn't sound like much of an upgrade. Oh well. We've learned that Jewels are magical amplifiers, and by topping our staves with htem have increased our magical potency. I'll need to learn magic soon. It's going to be cool.

Also, Steam Cars. Or more precisely, Tanks. They're like boats. Only they move on land. Spiffy. The Korok seeds have been planted and are growing. I don't know what they'll do, but only time can tell.

Also, the people of the village are treating me with respect now. They're bowing to my awesomeness. I can't believe it! I knew they'd fall in line soon. Now to have them erect a golden statue of me.

Locate resources and begin gathering
Establish main base
Build shipyard
Improve main base
Build Sirrush class ship
Build watchtower

Current Projects:
Build storehouse 4 days (stores food/weapon/armor/raw materials/other stuff that needs to be stored very useful in sieges)
Build Forage 8 days (allows weapon/armor creation, repairing and design

Reinforcements lead by Layat and Resilo- 24 days away

Draconic Alliance-28 days after last log
Armatura log:
I’m about to investigate the settlement on the other side of this island. I was enough of a fool to tell Alcharan about my intentions and he won’t let me leave without a “bodyguard” containing three hundred troops.

I decided to take thirty of the Xenarthra Dragons with me. Additionally I will bring twenty Sonril just in case we need to get away in a hurry. The serpent dragons should be able to get all of us out if things get dicey. I’m bringing ten Celifi, ten heavy fighters and twenty longbowmen for brute force. Alcharan’s men are very well trained and though I hate to admit it I do feel safer with them. Finally I’m bringing 10 sages. They are fairly good at both healing and fighting, but most importantly they are very good at keeping a clear head and analyzing the situation. If need be I’ll consult them to help me figure out what to do.

End

(2 hours after log or however long it takes to go to other side of island after log 2 hour would make the island pretty big wouldn’t it? Not sure how big it is.)

The troops led by Armatura land on the top of yet another cliff. Armatura lands in front of his troops and looks at his map.

“According to this map the unknown settlement is just ahead. We should keep going and get there. Aloft! Forward flight!”

All one hundred soldiers spread their wings and commenced flying in the direction Armatura directed.

Continued in the meeting hall(I’ll start it tomorrow sorry no time now)

Alcharan Log:

Things are going quite well. Our camp is much nicer. We have wooden cabins now!

Our watchtower is complete but the Celifi stationed at the top have not reported any ships on the sea.

Furthermore we’ve completed a ship! She’s called the Reception as her intended task is to help the ships Layat and Resilo are with find us.
End

Resilo Log:

Stupid storm… All the paper except this tiny scrap is soaking and no good for writing. I don’t know why we didn’t sink in that storm. It was almost like something was steering us and keeping us on course from underwater…

Storm Mercenaries
Locations: Off the coast of Forest Haven, heading towards dock. (Mailbox area)

~Mikau Log~
Finally, land. After many weeks at sea, we can set foot on dry land. Ardon and Alexander will be happy. There is, however, a possible problem: there seems to be a settlement in the place where we wish to dock. We could find another place to lay anchor, but our food supplies are dangerously low. I have made the decision to take my chances, and see if the occupants are friendly.

~Alexander Log~
LAND HOOOO!!!! What luck! The day our food supply runs out, we find land, and a forest at that! I can't wait to taste the lucious fruits. Yummm...! Mikau seemed worried about the inhabitants at the dock, but I'm not worried. I mean, how could you refuse a ship that has no food left, I mean really?!

~Ardon Log~
Land. It has been many weeks since the last time we have been on land. I cannot stand living on this boat much longer. Eating merely nothing everyday, and still running out of food... it is outrageous. I don't care what those inhabitants of that forest say, I will get food off of that island. I need come to it, I will... no, Mikau would never approve. This is so frustrating.

Army of the Dead Logs, day 118

Stalragnos:

"Our fleet is ready now. I'm ready to lead our assault on the Island of Windfall, to the northeast of this island. I have not yet gotten a reply from Gohdan, but I'm sure if he shares the same views as his Elector, he'll thank me for getting rid of this blight upon the Earth.

I'm sending out my Battleship, the Stalragnos, filled with 500 units. The 10 frigates shall come as well, each carrying an addition 300 each. The Jalhalla plans to rendevouz with us at the island. Apparently Zant was no where to be found, according to Jalhalla's message. I'm starting to think maybe they got the wrong island. No matter. As our first assault, we should try to do it ourselves. And, with the additional 30 transports, we'll be able to bring 3000 more troops. This gives us a 7000 initial phase force. Not too bad. After any naval threat is neutralized by the ships, we'll drop off what troops we have, and have the speedy transports race back to base to pick up more troops to bring back here, while the Battleships remain behind to issue bombardment to their island.

The ships are loaded. The guns are ready, and my army hungers for a fight. Time to teach the humans the power of the dark.

Ah, yes, that's right. The light. That will hurt half our troops' movement. So far, the only idea I have is to either bring the Poes and Dark Chu-chus (Redeads are tough, they can handle it) on board during daylight hours, or find or make shade for them to hide under while we fight. First things first though. We'll take our ships there, fight their fleet, and then we'll deal with it.

ALL SHIPS!! MOVE OUT!!! WINDFALL AWAITS!!!!"

“This the guy?” said Al.

Bill nodded. “Found him like this.”

Al remained silent for a while, then said, “I don’t like this. Soon as he tells us the guy’s name, he winds up killed. Something big’s going on. Just what is going on in the Shades?”

Before he got an answer, an explosion rocked the island.

“What the hell was that?” said Fiddler.

“Let’s go!”

“Er... shouldn’t we tell someone about the body?” said Constable Genericname as they filed out of the flat.

Al stopped and brandished his sword. “No. If you tell anyone—anyone at all—especially Riesling—I’ll gut ya like a fish. Got it?”

“Y—yes, Sir.”

“Good. Let’s go.”

“Boss!”

“I heard. He’s insane. Utterly insane. Send Jean in.”

When Jean walked into Victor’s office, Victor was sitting at his desk.

“Does he want to bring the entire army into the Shades?”

“Don’t know, Boss. But... isn’t that what you want?”

Victor smiled. “Yes. But not when we’re divided like this. Things’ll be difficult for a while. Increase everyone’s pay. Again. I want him dead. Find me the most powerful mage you can.”

“How much?”

“Negotiable. I’ll meet with him and decide on a price. Give it a couple months or so.”

“Anything else?”

“Yes.”
