Omega created by Heretic of the IF Skin Zone

WELCOME
Set in a world just slightly different than the real world, the comics and the movies alike, Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters specializes in the training and protection of the next breed of mutants. They fight not only for equality and acceptance, but to protect mutant and human alike from the machinations of evil forces who would seek to twist the world to their own ends. Founded by Charles Xavier, the school serves as a home for those who would otherwise be rejected in normal society.

Ideally, we want to make the game a whole lot of fun for everyone involved in it, but in order to do that and have a certain level of uniformity and better game flow, we've got some basic rules that everyone should adhere to. Failure to do so will result in getting notification of what's been done and what's required to fix it, and multiple failures will result in disciplinary action up to and including removal of character from the game. That's not anything that we want to see, so please make sure you check the rules and adhere to them.

1. Write for your own character- This one is simple. Don't try and dictate what someone else's character is going to be able to do, even if you've got mind control (if you do, let an Admin know and they'll adjudicate whether or not the other character is able to resist). So if your character is in a heated argument with another character, don't assume that they'll agree. In terms of combat, the Admin will adjudicate that.

2. Doing stupid things can get you killed- Another simple one. If your character, without super-strength and a whole lot of toughness, tries to stop a bullet train or Juggernaut, the consequences won't be pretty. Same if they try and charge a street gang armed with machineguns and they don't happen to be bulletproof or REALLY quick. Since death is final in the game and there's no magical resurrections or reboots, hopefully that'll make you think a little harder about doing something like that.

3. Headers and Footers- Since we're Admin and sometimes have to read through quickly, like fellow players who might be short on time or at work might be, we ask that you put headers on the first post in a thread, and footers on each post you make. Here's how they should go.

For the first post in a thread, please put the following:
Who: Who's involved, obviously including yourself
Where: Where is the thread happening at?
When: What day and time is it happening at? You'll know if there's certain days in a particular block of game time that aren't available during rollover.
CODE
Then please type [hr]
to make a neat little line break before the body of your paragraph(s) start.

At the end of a post, please do the following:
type
CODE
[hr]
for another little linebreak, then put the following beneath.
Summary: A fairly detailed summary that gives us the jist of what happened in your post. A line or two should be sufficient.
Tags: Who you want to reply to the post, if anyone
