It had been a long night. Ophelia found it hard for herself to sleep and the last time she had checked her watch it had been nearly two a.m. By this time of night most of the students that had already shown up were just getting selttled in. It would be awhile before the rest of the students would arrive in the school. At this time she had no idea how many students she would have or even how many she would have. Last year all she had to do was teach out of a text book, now she had to not only develop students with their abilities but have compassion to understand their hardships.
Compassion....that was something she found rather hard to comprehend. It was very hard for her to connect with others. She had so much empathy sometimes that it was hard for her to be able to understand her own feelings. It came at her in such surges that it would enfuse her own feelings. When someone grew angry she would grow the same way. It nearly drove her crazy the first time she had to deal with it as a child. Damn her father for using her.
Approaching her desk she pulled out her chair and lifted her laptop open. The new Vista software seemed to work well she began to think to herself as she used her telepathy to touch the keys of her password in. Here she could reach any student files she wanted to. Incoming students and students of the past. Only Is, Chlose, and she had the access to it. She designed everything herself just to make sure no hacker could interfere.
"Lets see...there's that new teacher Adam. I've met a student or two. Nothing that has any major concern." She said outloud.
As she began to think more she noticed that this Adam Smith seemed to have a somewhat military-like attitude and mannerisms to him. Maybe some of the information he had placed was false? Then again she had lied on her own application as well. SHe couldn't very well put "PIRA experiment number 00.01" now could she? Then again the only one who knew her secret was her brother Jen and Is. Those seemed to be the only two that she could really trust.
Leaning her chair back she began to stare the the roof in a daze. How could she possibly take care of all of these kids when she hadn't even finished her own problems herself?
