((Ahaha. Stupid title, yes. Brain gone, yes. Moving on.))

It was a quiet afternoon in Terrone Town. The late rays of the sun left long shadows on the sandy plains around the town, occasionally highlighting the grass and turning it gold. Some nocturnal wildlife was starting to stir, and the birds were quiet. It was through this tranquil environment that Matrix stomped, golden talons churning through the sandy ground.

The Fury went slowly, with great care in his step. His long wedge - head was bowed, thick tail swishing gently behind him. Black eyes regarded the town ahead with veiled caution, occasionally flashing a sort of goldenrod yellow color to indicate his state of mind. On the top of the Fury's head sat Phantom. The dragon organoid's serrated talons were firmly sunk into the black armor, her head bobbing with each great stride the saurian took. Unlike Matrix, Phantom was in a rather carefree mood this evening, the solar gems on the outside of her legs soaking in the warmth of the late sun. Purple eyes lazily flicked over the scenery, before the organoid yawned.

Who exactly is this person we are supposed to be meeting, again? Matrix asked, pausing for a second before slowly inching his way down a small sand dune and being careful not to slip. Swaying on top of the Fury's head, Phantom whacked him with her tail and snorted in displeasure.

~Some dude, obviously. Said he had a Bio for us,~ the organoid rumbled, exhaling a smoke cloud into the air. ~Considering how hard it can be to find the things, we're lucky.~

In the cockpit, Emily shifted slightly under the safety harness. Matrix had insisted that it be strapped extra tightly to avoid jarring her crooked spine, and Phantom had done the deed despite her partner's protests and whacking the silver beast with a cane. Said cane was now stowed safely away somewhere underneath the front console, and the blonde poked it with her foot.

"His name is Tom Verlis, and he's a friend of Mark's who deals in Zoids," Emily sighed, tapping the controls impatiently as Matrix lumbered along. Curse her overprotective Fury. It was like piloting a parent. "And can we hurry just a little, please?"

Well... Cocking his head, the black Zoid gave the distance between them and Terrone a considering look. Very low power.

"Bah. Fine." Depressing the accelerator, the blonde leaned back in her seat as the back verniers popped open slightly, leaking small white flames and jetting the Fury forward at a speed comparable to a lumbering run, only slightly smoother. Leaning forward on Matrix's head, Phantom's wingcases slid open and unfurled the purple - sailed wings.

~I'm going on ahead,~ the organoid informed, jumping off the Fury's head and falling back a moment before her wings snapped open and Phantom ascended into the air.

"Don't do anything stupid!" Emily called after the dragon, frowning slightly. Phantom had a bit of a penchant for exploding toilets.

[ Pfft. My Brain died years ago :D But heck, here I go :] ]

Exploding toilets? Now that sounds like fun. Fun for Escalus at least, not so much Rory. Escalus, a rather peaceful looking wolf organoid thing-- ha-- for the most part would much rather be exploding toilets than trailing behind Xaldin-- who had just a few moments ago sent the poor organoid flying for his head.

Come on slow poke.. The Fury snickered as he turned his head to mock the poor organoid.

Next time you lose a leg, I’m going to bury it.. Escalus huffed as he continued to run behind the Fury. Part of him was tempted to just pounce on the fury’s moving tail but something told him that might be a bad idea.

Meanwhile, Rory just sort a zoned out before noticing the radar blinking :D. Oh yay, that must be Emily.. But of course she didn’t know the person or the figure out in the distance so that was a useless line D:. But nevertheless, she quickly jerked on the controls of the Fury to pull it to a complete stop.. Rather a flailing stop that nearly caused the zoid to face plant.

What was that for? Xaldin grumbled as he was no longer moving at his previous speed and now sorta just barely balanced on one foot-- waving his arms rather amusingly to regain balance. But this would prove useless ‘for poor ickle Escalus had become distracted by a shadow in the air-- that of the winged Phantom, and ran straight into the zoids back foot-- and yeah from there the Fury fell. No idea how really but it just happened. Go figure.

With an ‘oof’ Rory twitched inside the cockpit of the fallen zoid and muttered to herself. “Can’t you for once just not flail around?!” Huffing, she dusted herself off, not that she had any reason to but whatever, and Xaldin pulled himself off the ground. How about you not pull on the breaks so fast.. I’m old.. The Fury huffed as he too pulled himself off the ground and turned to see the shape of the other Fury begin to take shape. We have company..

”Why do you think I stopped?”

At that point Rory just face planted and didn’t move for several seconds..
Somewhere under Xaldin’s feet, Escalus struggled to get to the surface D:

Wings flapping and then soaring on the warm air, Phantom flitted around, occasionally leaving a puff of smoke behind her. The organoid was just out to laze around - but ho. What was this? Another Fury? The dragon's purple eyes glinted. Victims!

Wings folding, the organoid went into a small dive towards the other saurian, taking care not to look...evil or anything.

A few hundred meters in some direction or the other, Emily twitched. "I get the feeling Phantom is about to do something stupid."

And that's unusual how? Matrix asked, cutting power to his thrusters and sliding to a stop near the entrance to Terrone. Golden talons planting in the sand, the long wedge - head scanned the area, looking for where to go next. Apparently it was some sort of warehouse, and there weren't many of those in the city.

"I don't know. Argh, and I'm still recovering from those hospital bills too," the blonde grumbled, tapping the controls to send the Zoid lumbering forward. "If she causes property damage I'm going to make good on that waffle iron threat."

Matrix opened his mouth, about to ask what the waffle iron threat was, then closed his jaws. Maybe it was better if he didn't know. Sighing, the dark dinosaur walked along, looking around at all the buildings.

Lying in the shadow of a warehouse, a white Genosaurer felt vibrations ripple through the ground into his jaw. Square head raising up, the purple optics flickered and looked around, poking out from behind a building to see into the street. Coming down the row was the black Berserk Fury.

Hmm? Optics flickering in a blink, the Geno wrenched his head around and looked back into the hangar area. Tom!

A moment of silence, then a clanging sound and a curse, and a silver - haired man stuck his head out the door. "What is it now, Zen? I'm busy here!" Chirring confusedly, the Genosaurer poked a set of black claws out into the road.

I think your customer is here. I think. Black Fury, right?

"Mm?" Coming out into the open, the man looked up just in time to see a very large black snout, followed by the head, poke around and building and stare down at him. The black eyes flicked colors, interested.

Is this him?

"Yup. Looks like the picture Mark showed me, anyway."

Victims? Awe, that’s no fun D:..

Soon enough, Xaldin shifted his feet to free the half buried organoid and grinned down temptingly at Escalus. You better not of gotten any dirt between my toes.. The Fury huffed before raising an invisible brow and shooting a glance up to the sky.

Company. Oh golly gee! And look, it looked like a flying.. Maggot.. The zoid rumbled aloud. Ironic wasn’t it? Taking note to the new fast approaching object, the Fury gave his Buster Claws a bit of a spin and twitch before waiting to see what Rory or Escalus would do.

Escalus was a bit to busy twitching violently from being squished and trying to find a way to get dirt out of his ears D:..

On the other hand, Rory was full of Excitement! NOT. ”That isn’t a maggot..” She huffed and focused her visual screen on the diving dragon organoid and raised a brow. ”It’s an organoid..” What was an organoid doing out here? Pfft, poor Rory failed to notice the whole town being you know not that far away. Oh well..

Like I said, it’s a maggot.. Xaldin huffed once more and threateningly stomped his feet inches from poor Escalus’ tail D:

Pulling up, Phantom went into a hover in the air near the Fury, just out of range of Buster Claw sporkdom but close enough to have a good look. Force of habit almost prodded the organoid to land on the Zoid's nose, but luckily Phantom had more sense than that.

...we think. <.<

~Good evening, pplz,~ the organoid yawned, finned tail tip flicking around in the air. ~Lovely weather, isn't it?~

Mmhm. Phantom seemed to enjoy chatting with random people from 100+ feet in the air.

Matrix blinked his optics down at Tom, curious as he shifted and brought the rest of his black and red body into view. The Genosaurer curled nearby growled lowly and shuffled to its talons, thick tail uncurling from around the hind legs and swinging out behind it like some sort of huge dog.

"Open up, dangit. And move over," Emily grumbled, kicking the canopy ceiling and shoving at the controls at the same time. Matrix slid over more and lowered his head low to the ground, tilting the cockpit at a more convient angle for the blonde to slide out, grabbing her cane along the way and using it to brace for impact.

"Stupid organoid, she's never around when I need - Hello?"

"Oh? Sorry, didn't mean to, um, stare," Tom stammered, making shooing motions at his growling Genosaurer. "Don't mind Zen, he's harmless. You're... Emily, right?"

"Yus, that would be me." Limping slightly on the way over to the entrance to the warehouse, Emily grinned at the silver - haired man. "And you must be Tom. I hear you have a Bio for me - ?"

"That I do. Zen, be nice," Tom warned to his Zoid once more, before going back into the hangar area as Emily hobbled after him. The Genosaurer gave a long stare at Matrix, purple eyes flat.

Yer not gonna eat me, are j00?

Matrix just blinked, settling into a sitting position.

...no.

"Wow. I dun think I've ever seen this many Zoids clumped together into one place, except maybe in Guygalos," Emily whistled appreciatively, going down in a line between rows of Zoids. On one half of the area, there were smaller - scale Imperial Zoids, and on the other half low - level Republican machines. "And you're going to sell all these?"

"Mmhm. There's a load of Empire cadets about to graduate in a week. That's when I'll ship these out," Tom nodded, waving towards the lines of Sinkers and Helcats and such. "I keep the Bio Zoids in the back... Ah, here we are."

The two halted near the back of the warehouse, in a lonely and somewhat dark corner. Standing there was a single Bio Zoid, tall and gleaming darkly in the dim light. The transparent eyes were almost a little scary to look at, as were the frighteningly large right claws. Tall spines lined the Zoid's back, and a pair of Bio Tricera horns jutted out the left shoulder.

"...now I think I see why you were willing to sell it so cheap," Emily mused after a minute of looking at the thing. "Don't quite know what it is, do you?"

"Nope," Tom replied, sighing and reaching forward to give one of the white talons a pat. "Although it kinda looks like - "

"Somebody took a Megaraptor and slapped Tricera and Kentro parts all over it."

" - well, yes." Sweatdrop.

"Hmm..." Limping closer, Emily squinted up at the Bio Core, a dark red with inactivity. "Wouldya mind if I took it for a test run? To make sure, yanno, I can synch with the thing properly?"

"No, go right ahead," Tom nodded, before giving a small frown to the sight before him. "...would you like a ladder?"

The blonde gave a tiger growl. "No. I can manage quite well, thank you..."

Dude, conversations in the air are some of the best. Mostly if there are flying rockets and missiles of death :D Than its just freakin amazing.

Rory and Xaldin both seemed to stare with a black expression and the strange organoid. Xaldin more so wanted to swat at it with a shinny Buster Claw, despite the fact it was up higher than he could reach, and Rory was just like wtf mate why was there some random organoid out there. Oh well, there had been stranger.. Well no not really, the weather question was pretty out there… But ugh, whatever o_o;

”Weather is err.. Nice?” Rory blinked as Escalus finally began to see the world without stars and seemed to have a plot in mind to destroy Xaldin’s tail or something. Ah well..

Two maggots. What a dream.. Xaldin finally huffed before settling down in a half seated position to watch the strange organoid. His Buster claw still twitching a little bit out of boredom D:

How about fire? Phantom would've been more than happy to supply some fire :D As it was, the organoid hovered there and made a face at Xaldin, contesting the fact that she was not a maggot. Ha.

Ho - hum. After much scrabbling around the Chimera, Emily was now in the core of the Bio, and currently dealing with the tangle of wires starting to slither around her frame. Shoving and pulling them into the places they were supposed to go, the blonde waited a minute for the Zoid to wake up and activate.

But! Small problem.

...it didn't.

"Um." Poking around at the dimmish holo - screens, Emily looked around the hangar and then down at Tom on the floor. "I think there's something wrong with it."

"Like what? It looks fine to me," the silver - haired man replied, watching the Chimera's head turn back and forth above him, looking around the hangar.

"Yeah, but it's also...not." Skeletal head lowering down, one clear optic stared dimly at Tom. "Does this look awake to you?"

"Well...no." Shrug. Emily grumbled something and then sighed, shaking her head.

"Oh well. This could be a good thing, if I don't have to fight another consciousness for control... Anyway, I'm going out now."

"Alright. Be sure to stay close to Terrone! Bandits like to lurk around at night!" Tom called after the black Zoid as it began to stalk out of the hangar.

I'm comi - "No you're not. I don't want you scaring the crap out of this thing when it wakes up." Matrix sank back down to the ground with an angry snarl, Buster Claws twitching unhappily. But -

"No! Just stay here and be good. I'll be back in a little bit," Emily said, willing the Chimera forward. It trotted off down the street, spiked tail swaying slightly behind it. Growling, Matrix poked his head out from behind a building to watch it go, optics burning the orange of annoyance.

It's no good, yanno.

Snarling, the Fury's head swung back around to stare at Zen. What?

Her waking up. Chidori doesn't talk to humans, the Genosaurer stated, as if it was the simplest thing in the world. Yawning, the white saurian turned around a few times before settling down like a dog, purple eyes flickering. Matrix just blinked, before attempting to make the crazy sign near his head with one of his tiny foreclaws.

As the Chimera trotted through the sand, Emily became slightly aware of something in her head. It was a voice, and a very small one, but it was still there.

You're hurt.

"I...was a little while back, yes," the blonde replied hesitantly after a second. The black Zoid whiffed, and then fell silent. Frowning, Emily stared at the front screen for a second before a purple flash caught her eye. Phantom's booster flare.

"What is that stupid organoid doing now? Phantom!"

~Hello?~ Flipping upside down in the air, the dragon organoid regarded the Bio racing up with some curiousity. ~What in the crap is that?~

"Phantom, don't annoy total strangers!" Growling, Emily pulled the Chimera to a stop on the sand, the white talons digging into the earth as the Zoid slid. "And get down here!" Making faces still, Phantom glided down to come to a rest on the crest of the Chimera's face, tail flicking over the left optic.

~Oh blargh. You always ruin my fun.~

"Shut up." A small rumble escaping its throat, the Bio Zoid turned to give a somewhat apologetic look to the Berserk Fury a few meters away. "I'm real sorry about Phantom, she has no brains."

~I do too.~ :P

"No, you don't. Be quiet."

[Faith]

At the face made by Phantom, Xaldin eyed him with an evil idea. Given the chance, he'd stomp the little not so furry furball into the earth and then sit on it. Ha.. But that chance would seem to never come for almost out of no where the stomping of some strange beast began to echo in his ears... If he had ears o_o; More like sensors.. But whatever.

What the heck.. The Fury growled slightly at the funky messed up, spikey, two teethed, clawed looking thing that was rapidly approaching.. And had a womans voice o_o; Rising from his seated position, the Fury stared at the clawed thingy and extended a Buster Claw, half tempted to prod it, but Rory saved the day and pulled the controls back. "Don't be stupid Xaldin.." She huffed before staring at the strange Bio Zoid as well..

"Its no problem. He wasn't an annoyance to me.." Rory grinned as Xaldin's eyes sorta rolled, if at all possible. Meanwhile, Escalus had recovered fully and stared at the spikey Bio zoid and drooled. Why? That zoid looked like a giant bone with many many things to chew on D: And all dogs love bones.. Whimpering slightly the organoid crept towards its tail.. stupid organoid.

"Err.. What are you? Some sort of..." Giant Toothpick?" Twitch. "That is not what I meant.. I mean, I've never seen such a strange zoid.. And i've seen some strange things.." Yeah. Wasn't that the truth.

~Begging yer pardon, lady, but I'm a lady too,~ Phantom grumbled, wings shifting on her back. Sighing, Emily attempted to reach up and swat at the organoid with the Chimera's smaller left arm, but it didn't reach.

"Phantom, don't be rude." Turning back to the Fury, Emily shrugged, the Chimera's bony shoulders rattling. "Truth be told, I don't really know, either. I've been poking the systems a little bit..." A pause as the blonde tapped a few of the holo - screens in front of her. "And they keep listing this thing as a Bio Chimera. Whatever that is."

Bringing the larger right claws up to the Core, Emily wiggled her way out of the wiring to stand on the black - tipped claws and look at the other Zoid. Just so there was no confusion with piloting here. Sinking her claws in and looking down over the stilled Bio's head, Phantom snorted a jet of hot air down at her partner before unlatching and leaping down to land next to the girl, as well as giving Escalus a look.

"The name's Emily, by the way," Said person went on, reaching over and grabbing Phantom as she felt some borrowed strength from the Chimera go. "And you've met my stupid organoid."

Rory watched the so called Bio Chimera carefully. It was a very peculiar creature and considering she hadn’t run into many bio zoids, if any at all, this thing was something she wanted to prod.. Several times :D. Resisting the temptation, as well as Xaldin doing the same, she observed the pilot break free of the wiring with a very baffled look.

To get a better look, she opened the Fury’s cockpit and climbed her way onto the top of his head and stared. ”That has to be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen..” She thought aloud before watching Phantom, ze girl organoid :D, appear to hold up Emily.

”I’m Rory. Nice to meet you.. And that is a rather interesting way to pilot a zoid..” She mused once more at the thought of being in almost complete control of every movement.. Hm, she considered getting herself a Bio zoid.

Meanwhile, at Phantom’s ‘look’ Escalus gave a slight growl and moved back towards the Fury, after having previously inspected the rather tasting looking tail. By the time he made his way back over, Rory had forgotten to introduce him D:. Sadness. With a huff, he pouted like a little puppy dog on the foot of Xaldin.

And I’m Xaldin. The Fury sort of blurted out randomly :[

"Nice to meet you, too," Emily grinned, taking a firmer hold on Phantom's wingcases and swinging herself onto the organoid's back. Phantom grunted and then gasped at the excess weight, pretending to buckle and fall.

~Geesh, don't do this. Who do you think I am, Axis? I'm not some huge thing you can ride on!~ The dragon flailed around unhappily, eventually shooting out a small jet of flame as Emily just thumped her in the sides with her heels.

"C'mon weakling, mush." Phantom grumbled, wings unfurling from her sides before she jumped off the claws and fell a few feet to a stable altitude, wings pumping madly. Adding a little booster output, the organoid rose higher and eventually soared over to land lightly on the end of Xaldin's nose. The Chimera just stood there a short distance away, looking blank and kinda creepy. :o

"Bios are rather fun, I suppose... Except when they feel like doing their own thing," Emily shrugged, watching the motionless Zoid. "But that one doesn't seem to be waking up, for some reason."

~She's fine.~

The blonde looked down at her organoid, which craned her head around to look back up at the squishy human. ~What?~

"You understand the Chimera?"

~Hunh? Oh, yeah. Not too incredibly well, but yeah.~ Wings fluttering, Phantom folded them up neatly against her sides. ~She has a name, you know. Chidori.~
