Jessica opened her eyes in the morning looking to the sun rising. As a cool breeze swept across her face she tore the blanket away as her hand landed on the cold metal of her Gun Sniper's toe. "Dawn. I haven't found the trap yet. Was it already Recovered?" She muttered to the sky itself before standing up.

She remembered the story she heard only a few days ago. "I swear to you! Someone tried to catch me and my Dark Horn! Alot of these black cables wrapped around my Dark Horn and tried to pull me down and then I pulled up something before it let me go. It was right in The Valley of Heros!"

She just finnished packing her things away when a sharp bleep sounds from within her cockpit. She quickly climbed in and flicked a switch. "A Zoid? It's running pretty fast. Maybe this guy will find the trap for me." She just grins as she straps herself into the seat. "Alright Violet! on we go!" Only a flick of her wrist and a push of a pedal brought the Deep purple Gunsniper to life after the Zoid now nearing the edge of her Radar.

Sylvan climbed heavily over another rock. He was sick of this. This must have been the 99999999th such rock. Donned in heavy armour, progress on foot was slow, even slower than it normally should be. He ran a hand through his red hair, looking around he just saw more rocks. The view was amazing, and Sylvan was half inclined to stay here for a while. Yet he knew better.

It concerned him that he couldn't see his Zoid anywhere. He had been spending most of the day looking for it, to little avail.

"Trust this to happen today"

He had only stopped for half an hour to get water, but now his Zoid was nowhere to be seen. Thankfully this meant he was fully supplied and could probably walk his way out if need be, but it was a real pain none the less.

Sylvan thought silently to himself. Normally, he had a transporter in tow, but his Hover Cargo had taken the long route around. The big transporter would be slow to navigate through the valley, it was actually faster for it to take the detour. Sylvan had taken two remote controlled Diloforce with him, but with his Fury being stolen, most likely they had followed it. It was possible that they had returned to sleepers, but Sylvan dismissed this option. Only a person who couldn't read would be dumb enough to ignore the warnings and deactivate his sleeper control unit.

"COOOOOOOWWEEEIIII!"

Sylvan let out an echo, hoping that maybe someone would hear. . . . .

"Ugh. More rocks."

Jessica sweares loudly as she lost track of the zoid she was fallowing. When she brought it her gunsniper around a large rockface she gasped at what she was seeing. It looked like several large black spikes where sticking up in from the ground before slowly sinking away. In the middle of those spikes where two Diloforce struggling just a bit.

Several of those spikes had bent and curled around the two unmanned zoids pulling them to the ground. "This whole area is lined with traps." She said to herself, now just watching it all from a safe distance as the metalic tendrals stopped moving. Only seconds passed before four prongs snap from the ground around the zoids, peircing their armor for a strong energy relay.

A shreek of pain sounds from the two before they went limp and their systems shut down as the power was being drained away into the rock itself. "An impressive device, but who designed them." She said observing them unawear of another already trapped just around the bend in the feild of Flower Traps.

She just gave a flick of her wrist on the controls and took a single step back trying to analize all visible parts of these devices. Even though she meant no harm, her safe positioning away from the traps could look more like a person was waiting for the time to move in and retrive both zoids.

"These things, every time I think of them...God I wish I could remember!" A low growl sounds from her Gun Sniper as it too remembered being trapped in one of these.

THE TIME IS NOW.

Amp wasn't having a good day.

You're only making yourself miserable,

...am not,

You are so jealous and it's painful to watch,

The Blitz Tiger huffed and hunched his shoulders, grumbling something unflattering about nothing in particular.

To this lot, it was a nice lazy day in the Valley of Heroes, with Zeru getting used to the two newest Zoids that had decided to follow him around. Well, he only had to remember how to pilot the little Saber Lion, since one had been his Zoid a long time ago. Then he'd eventually gotten the Blitz Tiger, and hadn't had another Zoid since then.

Needless to say, Ampere didn't appreciate this.

I don't get why she's so special,

Lazing around on the Tiger's armor like the cat he was, Pulse chuckled. Silly Blitz Tiger.

The tan and orangebrown Berserk Fuhrer with them didn't look too pleased either, but at least he was being quiet. Which was good because nobody would be able to understand him anyways.

Sitting up on one of the valley cliffs, the two Zoids weren't doing much of anything, but down below there was a smaller Zoid trundling around. The Saber Lion swished her tail behind her as she loped through the valley. Zeru was enjoying the warm, dry air on his face from the open cockpit system, looking at the terrain around them.

Hey Zeru, is that a guy in armor ahead of us? Elena asked, tilting her head. By golly it did look like a guy in armor. Was that a sword he had?

"It... looks like. Is that a sword?"

I just said that, seriously.

Things were looking up for Sylvan, it seemed he had reached a nice flat bit of land that he could follow for a while. Breathing in, he walked forward a little. For a few moments he pondered dumping his heavy armour, it was really quite insane to traverse this terrain decked out like this. But he showed restraint for now, his armour was very valuable, it was precision equipment designed specifically for him.

Without it, he wouldn't be able to pilot his Zoid. He didn't just wear this stuff for the heck of it. Inside the plates of metal were embedded magnets. In the pilot seat of his Fury were matching electro-magnetic ports. These devices were able to apply pressure to his body in times of extreme G-forces and prevent him from blacking out. As he debated with himself something caught his eye.

"huh?"

Sylvan spoke aloud, something he didn't normally do, but since there was no one around he had gotten used to exclaiming things to vent his semi-anger.

Looking out over the end of the plains, he spotted some Zoids. They weren't his own, but maybe he could hitch a ride or gather info.

He raised his arms and waved at the group, with any luck they would spot him. With good luck they would react. They seemed so close, but it would probably take Sylvan a good 1/2 hour or more to close the distance on foot. A Zoid could probably cover that in about 5 seconds. Sylvan sighed and moved further forward.

Jessica was quickly working to decipher just what she was able to scan before most of it seemed to vanish back underground. She stopped her analasis for a bit before grabbing a small voice recorder and leans back in her seat.

"The large number of black, snares or whips have all shrunk back down into the ground. However the prongs or arms continue to hold the Zoids in place." Jessica spoke into the recorder to keep notes on her observations for later.

"This is only a guess but the power drain on those um, Zoids that unknowingly got cought in the trap is major. Its so strong that it looks as if the core was either peirced or is not receiving enough energy to function. While they look dead I belive this may be a ruse for people to think that and abandon them."

She stopped recording and turned her head to the blue canopy above her. "But, if that was the case, how come the GF doesn't have any public information about them? You'd think this would catch their attention in a heart beat Zoids almost dieing from a black trap. So many things happen so maybe for now it's all isolated and minor."

Jessica opened the cockpit and climbed out before moving forward. "Lets see, one of those Snares, yea that's just a good thing to call it, shrunk down into the ground around here. Ah!" She slipped on a rock before watching it land on a black tube.

She reached forward and took the rock before starting her recording again. "Barely ten centimeters wide, so I guess larger zoids are just too strong for this thing."

She tossed the rock towards the middle of what she figured was a trap. "Well, nothing happened, but the rock was small. My guess is the trap is pressure sensitive like a bear trap. If I'm right then just how heavy does soemthing have to be to set it off? Another question is about these snares. Are they seperate from the trap itself and activated by a singal or are they part of the trap?"

He looks like he's waving at us,

And indeed, it did look like the fellow in the armor was waving at them. The Lion slowed to a stop to give Zeru time to think, the hero of dimensional Zi seemed to consider, and shrugged his shoulders. "Well, let's go see then. He might need help or something if he's waving his arms like that... all alone out here,"

Elena seemed to grin as she took off into a loping run towards Sylvan, slowing down once they got closer so she didn't dust him out or something. Carefully, she walked up, turned in such a way that Zeru could talk down at Sylvan. "Heya! Need a ride?" he asked, leaning down but still keeping a hold on the controls.

Meanwhile, Cornwall yawned widely, snapping his jaws shut and looking around. Ho hum. Bored of what was going on here, he stood up and stomped off towards where he'd detected another Zoid... wasn't like he had anything better to do.

Sylvan sighed with relief. It seemed the other people had noticed him.

"Yeah, sure do."

He responded to the other pilot in a friendly manner. Hesitating for a moment, he looked around. Making sure he didn't see his Zoids anywhere, it almost looked as though he was expecting to find them magically appear. But nothing had changed since the last time he had looked around.

"My name is Sylvan, and it seems like a few of my Zoids were stolen."

He didn't want to go into explicit detail, but that was enough of a short-hand explanation to stop the other pilot being way too suspicions of him.

"I've got a transporter waiting at the other end of the valley, so if your going that far, it would be appreciated."

Sylvan pondered for a tiny moment if this guy may have been related to the theft, but he disregarded it. He didn't look like he was equipped for such a thing.

With that thought out of mind, he approached the other Zoid and it's pilot with a large deal of thanks in hand.

Jessica started around over to another one of the Snares. She stopped when she noticed three more in an odd L pattern. “Two, five, six,” She then turned around noticing six more behind her. “Twelve.” She walked over to the center of the twelve openings for the snares and felt herself sinking just a bit.

“It’s in a four prong star shape, made of twelve snares.” Jessica continued her recording. “With the four prongs I saw earlier that would conclude when closed it would be a square, with one snare at each corner and two snares along each prong.”

She just laughed and knelt down. “I also felt the ground shift below me, but I’m probably too light to set it off, so maybe it’s not sensitive enough for people. I’ll bet an organoid could set it off.” She heard her zoid roar lightly as she turned. “Violet, stay. Be a good zoid and stay.”

Violet just growled in response as Jessica walked along the valley to the two diloforce. “Hmm, the rock has been churned up a lot; maybe these things are just dropped from the sky. It would take a night or two too burry each one, even if you had an army of construction Godos with jack hammers.”

Violet stood there and decided its best Jessica gets in trouble for not heading her as the radar bleeped about an oncoming zoid. It was too quiet for Jessica to hear over her own muttering at that distance.

“Possible idea, the same pattern of snares is visible in several areas. If I’m right about the shape of these traps, I should be able to use this to make a map for zoids to traverse later, maybe make a few gallos for ammo and food. Man, I can almost taste that slice of good cheese cake now.”

Zeru tilted his head a little bit, frowning at the information. Stolen? He looked back over his shoulder, spotting Amp still sitting there brooding off on the ridge. Cornwall wasn't with him, but the Fuhrer had already proven that he was very independent.

"I could help you find them if you'd like. I'm Zeru," he smiled, pulling himself back up onto the seat. Gently pushing the controls down, the Zoid crouched, eventually going down on her belly so that Sylvan could climb up onto her back. It wouldn't be a very comfortable ride, but at least it was a ride.

Zeru leaned over again to look at Sylvan, now wondering about his stolen Zoids. Sounded like a job for a hero-type like himself, though he didn't think about it that way. Just another day in the life, "I wasn't going anywhere in particular, so I can take you over there. What kind of Zoids did you have that were stolen?" he asked curiously, hoping he could help.

Meanwhile, the tan and orangebrown Fuhrer stomped up onto an overlooking rock ridge and looked around. Gunsniper... human. Uninteresting! That was what he decided anyways. Cornwall sighed and looked around again... no monsters around to slay or anything. No nothing around, really. The Zoid tiredly sighed and swished his tail behind him, watching the human down below, doing... whatever.

Sylvan gladly jumped on, anything beat being on his feet.

"Yeah, sure. Last I knew they were over the next ridge. Back where I had come from."

Sylvan roughly pointed in the direction, it wasn't very far distance wise, but it had taken Sylvan such a long time to cover on foot.

"I had a Berserk Fury, Zenebas CAS. And two Diloforce were in tow."

He scratched his head a little, he wasn't sure if his bearing were right. The scenery looked totally different on the way over, to the way back. Unbeknown to him, he had pointed out a position very close to where Jess and his ensnared Diloforce were located.

Jessica stood near the closest diloforce before putting her hand on the trap that held it. “Hmm, looks like the part that was holding Violet when I found her.” She pushed against the large black metal arm. The side of the zoid was pierced and a drill was lodged just into the armor. She sighed and walked around to another arm searching for something, something specific. She then slid behind the zoid inadvertently hiding herself from Cornwall’s View.

She was hidden from view near a solid rock wall when she found what she was looking for. A tiny panel and she slid it off. “Yes! It is just like what Violet had on her. So, if I can unlock this one, how will I get it out? Even then if this one goes off will all of them unlock or will I have to unlock each and every one of these traps?” She just sighed and sat down next to the zoid. Her eyes drifted to the sky above as a smile forms on her lips.

As the others came into view of Violet she backed away, knowing a lot better then to mess with what looked like a furher and a group of zoids. Yet she also wanted a good view of the chaos that would/could soon take place if the ther zoids entered the area lined with traps. Jessica was too into her own thoughts to even notice Violet backing off slowly.

With Sylvan up and on her back, Zeru gently eased Elena up, and the Saber Lion stood, keeping herself steady so nobody fell off. She wasn't worried about Zeru, he was sitting on the piloting seat... thing. But still, even walking, she was going to be faster then anyone on foot, so the little blue Zoid looked off in the direction that the armor clad individual had pointed to, and started off.

Seeing his Zoid heading off on her own just fine, Zeru turned his thoughts to what Sylvan was saying. A Fury? He was somewhat familiar with the Z, having seen it a few times in the past. "Somebody stole all three Zoids?" he asked curiously, looking back at him. It seemed a little strange to him, but Zeru didn't know about the special thing that the Fuhrer and Diloforce's had.

Well noo, wha' di we have here, Cornwall watched the Gunsniper take a few steps back, and the person disappear from sight. He cocked his head to the side, wondering exactly what was going on here. It looked strange to him.

Elena saw Cornwall's big tan and brown behind and clomped over to him, mouth gaped happily. Hey Cornwall, whatcha lookin' at?

"That's my Fuhrer," Zeru said back at Sylvan as the Lion trotted up next to him to look. Cornwall pointed a stubby arm at the lot of them down in the canyon, Ah think tha' soomone's causin' troobl,

"...what?"

Hey look, two Diloforce.

The air rushed past Sylvan, as the Zoid beneath him began to move. It was cool an refreshing, certainly a welcome change or events. As he was relaxing a little, Zeru asked a potent question, "someone stole all three". The thought echoed through Sylvan's mind, and made him realise something he hadn't thought of until now.

"Hmmm, I'm not sure really. They may have just stolen the one. . . ."

Debating with himself, he decided to give a brief explanation as to how three Zoids could go missing, with only 1 being stolen.

"The diloforce are remote-controlled from the berserk fury. A strange thing to do, I know. Never the less, if someone swiped Sword (my fury), then it's likely they have the Diloforce in tow."

He was surprised to see another berserk fury in the area, and was even more surprised to see what it was pointing at.

"My Zoids! ~waaaa"

Sylvan jumped up in anxiety, nearly loosing his balance as he did so. A short hop-step-jump later and he was back in a safe position. He looked out below, the Zoids weren't moving, that was odd. Either the remote control had failed, and they had returned to sleepers, in which case they would be waiting to ambush, or something had temporarily disabled them.

"Hey something's wrong. . . .Where's Sword?"

He looked around, his bright red Berserk Fury Z was nowhere to be seen. . . needless to say they would be in trouble if the Diloforce woke up out of the SCU's range. Although sleeper Zoids were not nearly as competent as a piloted one, they still has charged particle cannons to worry about.

Jessica noticed someone yelling. She jumped to her feet and turned around, looking along the visible cliff walls. Her first thought was, this is someone’s zoids and they’re here to claim it. She slid under the tail of the one Diloforce and gasped seeing the bright color of the Saberlion. Her orange hair was visible to the others up on the cliff, for a few seconds before she backed away.

The idea just hit her, these could be the people who designed or set the traps. “Oh, that was stupid of you Jessica.” She said to herself and checked to see the distance between herself and Violet before noticing it was increasing with each second until Violet was up against the far wall. “That’s what she was roaring about.” She thought aloud as she leans against the trap hoping she wasn’t noticed until she could find out just who they where.

Even from that distance the traps that had clamped onto the Diloforce where visible, and gleaming lightly in the sun. Jessica was getting ready to run, thinking if they do attack or jump down she’d have to hot foot it around the traps and hopefully get to Violet. One wrong assumption or action would be trouble for any and everyone.

--------

A little over a kilometer away from the group, just around the bend of the canyon the very red fury that found itself snared quite heavily in the black snares. Its legs where tangled in snares that have broken off while others where still anchored to a trap. Sword was unable to proceed further, but if he backed up he might find himself triggering the traps again.

A trio of black zoids where stalking forward, one command wolf flanked by two genius wolves. “Ok you scrubs, I just got promoted so don’t screw this up for me.” The command wolf’s pilot said as the others just muttered a response. “The boss will be very pleased if we do catch one of those.” They had no idea that Sword was more then capable of fighting back right now.

Zeru was curious as to how all three could have been taken, if only one Zoid was actually stolen, but then Sylvan explained it. "What, like a sleeper?" he asked, being rather familiar with them. Sleepers everywhere at one point, and all that.

The little Lion moved so her side was facing below, and both Sylvan and Zeru could get a clear view of what was going on below. Leaning over a little bit, the time and space hero had a little frown on his face, spotting the Gunsniper and the bright orange haired person. Orange hair... (Levathe. That didn't look like her, though,)

He looked around, and didn't spot the Fury after Sylvan pointed out that it was gone. Well, at least they'd found two of the Zoids. "You see a Fury around at all, Cornwall?"

Noo. Ah dinnae sae anothur Fury,

"..."

He didn't,

"I gathered as much. You want to go down there and make sure they don't run, Cornwall? I got a weird feeling about this," he started to direct Elena to find a place that she could walk down and still stay steady so Sylvan didn't fall.

Meanwhile, the tan Fuhrer coiled his legs and took a great leap down to where the trapped Diloforce where, talons slamming into the rock as he prowled over, growling faintly.

Come oot, come oot wh'ever ye are, the tan Zoid growled, prowling around to the backside of the trap where Jessica was hiding.

"Yeah, exactly."

Sylvan replied to Zeru. He had guessed it in one. He took a better stance on the back of the Sabre Lion, as they prepared for their descent. He half though to draw his weapon. But there was no need for that just yet. Besides, in Zoid combat, a sword was about as useful as a toothpick. . . an indestructible toothpick, but a toothpick none the less.

The Diloforce still hadn't moved, something was very wrong here. Sleepers had radar, so they should have been able to pick something up by now. Yet they were still motionless, Sylvan looked up suddenly, a plume of smoke rose from not very far away.

At the base of the smoke, was a red Berserk Fury. Pilot less, the Zoid was roaming on instinct. And right now it's instinct was saying "I'm angry".

With it's legs ensnared the Zoid was having a hard time moving around. More traps littered the area, so it had loosed three missiles, detonating the area directly in front of it.

It's boosters kicked into life, the weary Zoid blasted off, trying to shake free from it's bindings. Some of the traps had already broken, some seemed to be coming loose.

Now Sword was getting really angry. All it's missile batteries opened, preparing to shoot down some unwelcome visitors. Namely 3 command wolves.

Without a pilot, the Zoid was unable to access it's full weapon array, so the custom Shield was unusable. That was, unless a certain onlooker decided to intervene. For on a hill, not too far away, a much smaller Zoid-like character stood. It's sleek metal skeleton shimmered in the sun. It's eyes were plotting and scheming, ready to fuse at any time should the need arise.

Jessica gasped as she watched that Fury jumping down. Cornwall landed right on a trap but his weight and speed in landing was enough to crush the triggering mechanism of the trap. She slid behind the zoid and used the trap to climb up; thinking the safest place to be was on top of an already deployed trap. Then Cornwall prowled right over another one of the traps.

That triggered the trap’s snares to deploy, shooting into the air around Cornwall and then the next trap started to deploy. Soon the whole canyon was full of the black snares swaying around like a vile sea anemone. Cornwall and Jessica where right in the middle of it all. She found herself on the back of the Diloforce and then she looks to Cornwall.

“Use your buster claws!” She commanded of the Fury not knowing the pilot seat was empty. “Drill the ground around you before they grab you! Aim for the middle of the of the black snares!” She could feel the electricity filling the air as several broken snares where giving off heavy sparks. The rest where charging with electricity as they swung around to catch any zoid in their range.

-------

Further down the canyon, where Sword was, the remaining snares deployed. They swung about for the Fury, but none that didn’t already have sword could reach him. “Look, just shoot at it and push it into the traps behind it. That should be enough to take it down.” The Command Wolf pilot said and started to fire his twin beam cannons at Sword. “Once he’s down we move to make sure who ever started the other traps are cought too.”

There was a few seconds before both Genius Wolves fired a few rounds from their double-barreled shock cannons at the ground around sword’s feet. The Genius Wolf pilots where starting to second guess their career options. They took a few steps back making it a lot easier to target the Command Wolf alone.

The metal trap buckled under his talons, but the tan Fuhrer didn't notice the trap he landed on. The feeling of something other then rock under his feet and the sound it made reached his ears, though he didn't think too much about either.

He jerked back with a roar when the ground suddenly came to life all around him, the traps taking him by surprise for a second.

MONSTERS!

It didn't matter if Cornwall had a pilot... he was mad now. And he could hack and slash at things with his Platinum Metal Zi Buster Claws without any help at all. While it seemed like he listened to Jessica's suggestion, the Fuhrer was just going off of his own instinct when he took a step back and plunged both sharp-edged claws into the center of the trap he had been standing on, ripping it apart as best he could.

Elena stopped when the traps sprung up, staying up on the rock ridge away from them. Cornwall was a big Zoid... she wasn't, and she had passengers. "Oh, man. Where did Amp get to? Could sure use his help right about now," he looked around, but couldn't spot the Blitz Tiger. There wasn't too much he could do with just a Saber Lion, and with Sylvan riding on the back. It looked like the Fuhrer could take care of himself, at least at the moment.

And, if you were wondering where Amp was, he's still moping back were we left him.

I think Zeru needs out help, Amp, the Organoid said down to his Zoid, walking over to peer down into the Tiger's eye.

Why doesn't he get his new Fury and Lion to help him then? he grumbled, flicking at boulders on the ground. Pulse slowly closed his jaws and made a pointed face at the Tiger's head.

Well fine then. I'll go see what's wrong, Pulse trotted to Amp's nose and boostered off, flying towards where he thought the lot of them were. Grumbling, the Tiger went back to being an emo Zoid.

Sylvan scrambled for a better hand hold. He wasn't in danger of getting flung off right now, but those traps were wild. If things were about to get rough, he wanted to be well positioned so that he didn't risk serious injury.

"What are those things!?"

This man, Sylvan, had seen a lot of things before, but this was certainly new. They were obviously some kind of trap, but the sheer number of them is what had taken him by surprise.

It didn't seem like the gunsniper person was the mastermind here. Were they offering advice? He wasn't sure. Sylvan didn't have a radio on him, so he didn't quite know what they were saying.

The commotion near him had distracted Sylvan from what should have been his main focus. Namely, finding his Zoid again. Because, over in the distance, the red Berserk Fury Z was preparing to attack.

Missiles rained out from the large Zoid, some were aimed, some were not. A dozen projectiles splashed around and towards the leader's Zoid. It's boosters had kept it momentarily aloft, managing to minimise the potential damage to it's feet from the incoming shells. But when the jets of hot air faded, the Zoid found it's footing was unstable. It's only option was to stagger back. Where it fell for the ambusher's plan.

A trap snared, a large metal spike began to rise from close range, it looked on-course to latch into the chest of the Fury. Suddenly, a flash of light swept past the trap, snapping it in two. A small Zoid stood there, at the base of the Berserk Fury Z. Panels on it's shoulders and legs flipped back, retracting exposed boosters into their protective housings.

An organoid stood for a moment, staring at the on comers. It was almost daring them to attack. The gaze was held as a dozen more traps suddenly triggered in the background. A result from a delayed reaction of the organoid sweeping past at high speed.

Cornwall’s buster claws caused the power source in the trap to rupture and explode just around the claws, then a few chunks of rock was tossed about. Jessica had to guard herself from it and watched him acting. “Hey, just destroy the traps between here and my gun sniper! Then we can get these two zoids out of the area.”

She jumped down to the Diloforce’s side opposite of Cornwall and noticed the sound of distant explosions. “Wow, someone else must be caught in the traps and putting up a good fight.” She started to wait to see if Cornwall did listen to her.

Violet started to roar with laughter, and she wished she could join in. There was one trouble, Jessica locked the weapons in safety mode when she went to sleep the night before and didn’t unlock them yet.

-------

Down by Sword the two Genius Wolves activated their energy shields. The command wolf pilot pulled back on the controls jumping into the two shields keeping him from getting out from under the Missiles. “You id-” He started to say as the missiles hit him dead on. They did their job taking the command wolf down.

The pilots of the two wolves just looked down to the organoid. “Well, you take him out. I quit.” One quickly did a U-turn before taking off, even using his booster to get out of range. The other fired a few rounds at Sword, before deciding it’s best to run after his partner. They just left the smoking Command Wolf behind.

Elena kept herself still on the path, looking out over the traps as they writhed and looked somewhat dangerous. It was safe where she was, and she didn't want the boys on her back to get shanked by one of those pointy things.

I dunno, but they look dangerous,

"Yeah," he continued to watch Cornwall and the girl, wondering exactly what was going on. It didn't look like the Fuhrer was in much danger anyways.

Shaking his Buster Claws off, Cornwall looked up at the girl, growling faintly, then over at the Gunsniper. The traps flailed around him, far enough away that they couldn't grab him. Swishing his tail behind him, bouncing on the balls of his talons, his Buster Claws spread out to the sides as he took a stance to charge.

A bellow ripped from his tan and chrome jaws, and the Fuhrer charged, hacking and slashing at the traps with reckless abandon, to get over to the Gunsniper. No harm in listening to the human, he supposed.

Ah, so this is what you're upset about, Pulse touched down behind Zeru, his dark lavender eyes looking over the area. He flicked his tail at Sylvan, looking back and nodding at him.

"What makes you say I'm upset?"

Pulse stared flatly at Zeru, even while his colors seemed to waver, not able to decide on what shade it wanted to be.

"Oh. Heh," he scratched the back of his head, calming down so the Organoid returned to a normal tan color. "Sorry buddy. Oh, this is Pulse, by the way. And this is Sylvan,"

Hello.

"Yo."

Sylvan nodded, greeting the organoid with the simple gesture.

Looking around, there seemed to be quite the commotion. Traps, explosions, this person with their gunsniper. It was a bit unnerving. Sylvan, however, was focusing on his fallen Zoids.

He was now able to tell that these trap thingies were why they had not moved thus far. These traps seemed to be doing something to them that disabled the command and combat systems.

Sylvan's attention had been drawn away from his main Zoid, which now had begun to move. Without radar to help him, he didn't notice the Berserk Fury Z's signature blip as the Zoid entered the scope. It was only moving at walking pace, to avoid as many of the traps as possible, but it was certainly closing in on the group.

"You think we could find a way down to those Diloforce? It might be difficult to get there with a Zoid, I could go on foot from here."

He figured, that if he could disarm one of the traps, he might be able to pilot the diloforce. Their combat systems were usually de-activated, since they were sleeper Zoids. But in emergencies Sylvan knew a way of converting them back to pilot-able Zoids by hand.

"If I could get close, I might be able to retrieve one of my Zoids down there."

Jessica goes around the side of the Diloforce to check on what Cornwall was doing. She was glad to see him charging down the path towards the gunsniper. She, calmly and slowly, walked behind Cornwall to make sure: A she didn’t step on anything bad and B to stay out of the range of traps being destroyed.

She looks up to the other zoid before waving them down. After Cornwall clears the traps she started to count, to see how long it took before they shut down. Jessica was already starting to figure out these traps. “Designed so if you set one off it sets them all off, incase something fast tries to zip by. But you have to really be cruising to get through safely. A Sinker definitely would but, would a Jager get through?”

Jessica was just muttering to herself as Violet backed away from the Fury. She didn’t look like she was enjoying this anymore, thanks to a Bio Killer like Cornwall, practically bearing down on her. “Violet, come here, open up and try to get a com open with them.” She said pointing to Cornwall and the others.

She said now standing past the edge of the traps, noticing the snares went very rigid. They started to sink away into the ground and in resting position. Jessica turned to watch, all of them where shutting down. “Hmm.” She turned back to Violet who took a few steps forward to kneel down near Jessica and opened up her cockpit.

"Er," hearing that Sylvan wanted to get to his Zoids, Zeru looked around, trying to figure out the best way to get Elena from point A to point B without getting them speared. "I think we can manage it, huh Elena?"

The little Lion nodded, and continued picking her way down the rocks. By the time she got down to the bottom, she could call Cornwall over to hack up the traps in their way.

Said Fury hacked up the last trap, hissing at the Gunsniper faintly. His eyes flickered green and white a few times, though he started to calm down. The claws flipped back to rest, and he turned to look back at the traps as they retracted.

Hey Cornwall, come here and help me out!

Drawing his blades again, he didn't hesitate, running over and hacking up any of the traps should they spring again. The pair, Fuhrer and Saber Lion, went over to the two snared Diloforce, stopping right next to it and knealing down so Sylvan could slide off and board one of his Zoids. If he needed them to hack off some of the trap, they were more then ready and willing to.

Busy with that, Pulse watched them, then looked up, sniffing at the air. The radar said that something was heading for them, but the lot was too busy with this current shenanigan to pay attention to a new one

Sylvan was amazed at the way the berserk fury operated. For some unknown reason, he suddenly felt like opening up a lawn mowing service, should his Zoid be recovered.

"Cheers"

Sylvan jumped off Elena, and landed near his fallen Zoid. Nearby, he could see a female. Her name was Jessica, but Sylvan didn't know this yet. His right was gripped onto the hilt of his sword.

He looked at the gun sniper's pilot. But didn't do anything for now. He wasn't gripping his weapon out of hostility. He had another use for it. As he approached his Zoid, he unsheathed the sword, and with a mighty heave he flung it into the controls of his Diloforce.

He wasn't trying to damage the Zoid, as much as it looked like it. Instead his weapon slid into a small crack between the handles. There was a moment's pause, where Sylvan was obviously expecting something to happen.

"Oh? Now that's odd"

His sword had a unique configuration, that allowed him to manually overwrite the command systems of his own Zoids. Changing them from sleepers to piloted Zoids. But the lack of response was quite unnerving.

"Hey you there!"

Sylvan spun and turned to the gunsniper and it's pilot.

"I don't know who you are, or why your here. But this is my Zoid. So if you know anything about these devices, I'd like to hear it."

It was a rather abrupt greeting, but Sylvan was actually being cautious. Normally he would have just hacked and slashed at the traps and freed his Zoid that way. But he didn't know how they operated, so slicing into them may cause permanent damage to his Diloforce. As such he needed information, before he started to act.

Jessica was hopping into her gun sniper when she noticed the armor and sword. “Odd.” She just didn’t mind and flicked a switch beside her seat and entered a code to unlock the weapons. A few seconds later she started Violet forward towards the Diloforce. Jessica got Violet to halt next to Sylvan, but didn’t close the cockpit yet.

She leans over the side looking down to him. “What I’ve learned about these traps would take a long while to describe. You just need to know the basic. There are four prongs holding your zoid in place, but they’re also draining all its energy. The zoid is dormant right now and needs to be freed before it can recover.”

“Violet was cought in one of those before. I didn’t try it yet on that trap, but climb down on the side near the rock wall, there’s a control panel. Try to enter the code: sixty-eight twenty-two eleven. It worked before, maybe it’ll work again.”

Jessica used that code to free Violet before, and she hasn’t had the chance to test it again. Yet, the code would work to disable the trap and free the diloforce. Any zoid would take a while to recover from such a drain.

“If the code doesn’t work, then we’d need to destroy the trap from the bottom up or else you’re going to get electrocuted. I’d say we use the tan Fury to,” Jessica paused noticing the radar, “do the work.”

Violet hissed in response and leans forward. “Hey, did you have any other zoids, Red.” She said to Sylvan leaning forward. “I heard some explosions earlier and now I got a zoid on radar coming this way.”

I am so sorry. D: I didn't realize it was my turn. Someone PM me next time, please. D:

The Saber Lion padded around the trap and looked at it, while the tan Fuhrer loomed quietly off to the side, grumbling. He still seemed on edge, looking around them and watching the Gun Sniper in particular. Zeru and Elena both watched curiously as Sylvan seemed to stab his Diloforce's controls... but it seemed like it was intentional, like he knew what he was doing. Well, it was his Zoids after all.

Is your sword like a key or something? Elena asked, once she figured out that the sword was supposed to turn the Zoid on, or something of the sort. Not able to do much else at this exact second, Zeru looked back and fourth between the two as they spoke. Hearing the passcode, he directed Elena over to the panel.

"I got it," he said, sliding down and going over to put the numbers in. Cornwall stomped over, watching and wondering if he was going to be able to hack and slash things again. He was a little disappointed when the code disengaged the trap.

Up on the Lion, Pulse flicked his ears as he watched the radar, noticing that the girl in the raptor Zoid had noticed it now too, Finally, someone else notices it, he said, looking over at the violet Zoid.

"Huh?"

There's another Zoid heading for us,

Zeru blinked a few times, and nobody noticed Cornwall bristling again. "Hey Sylvan, that might be your Fury," he pointed out, starting back up the Lion's side to sit on her seat-thing.

"HASSHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

Sylvan had heard up to the --" The zoid is dormant right now and needs to be freed before it can recover."-- part, before he jumped to a conclusion. Jumping off the pilot seat, he lunged his sword into a large overhead swing, brining it down onto the trap mechanism.

Just as he did so, electricity jumped up the blade of his sword. With a crackle of energy, the shock sent Sylvan bouncing back, dazed but not seriously injured. It was lucky that Platinum Metal Zi did not conduct very well.

"Right. Code."

Sylvan shook himself a bit and watched Zeru enter the code. Immediately, there was an effect. His Zoids began to hum, and their eyes lit up with a faint glow. They were clearly low on power, but at least there were signs of activity. If only Sylvan had been that attentive.

"Oh, yeah. My name. It's Sylvan."

Having introduced himself, he then turned to were all the attention was growing. He found himself looking over just in time to see a red Berserk Fury Z loom over the far cliff wall.

"That's my Zoid!"

Sylvan didn't manage to say more, for it seemed like his Zoid had opened fire and released a barrage of missiles at them.

EDITED: fixed' the post, I hope ^.^;;

Jessica gasps as Sylvan slices down into the trap and went flying. “Oh jeeze!” She winced seeing him and expected him to be dead but then noticed he was ok. Violet couldn’t hold in her laughter, but Jessica noticed a few things. Especially with how quick the zoid was recovering. “Hmm,” she hummed and leans back into the seat.

”I see you survived, that very insane stunt. I’m Jessica and what’s that sword, metal zi?” Violet was continuing to laugh now leaning forward. Jessica’s hand slammed hard on the cockpit control, getting violet to turn her laughter into a light snicker and even closed the cockpit. “So, how did your zoids get away? Did they get bored and decided to play tag?”

She was expecting a yes to that answer yet, when she let her eyes drift back just in time to see missiles launched. “What the heck? Hey call your zoid off!” She said grabbing Violet’s controls. Violet’s snickering ended in a heart beat. The gun sniper let out a tiny growl to which Jessica responded, “I agree: a bad day.”

Jessica watched the reticles of the twin triple barreled machine guns move over the missiles and she pressed the triggers down. She watched a few missiles explode from her actions, but she couldn’t shoot them all down. “Hey tan boy! I can’t shoot them all down! Help me shoot them or shield them against the missiles.” She was being bossy to Cornwall today and would apologize when all this is over. If she remembers.

The little Lion still watching Sylvan jumped when he electrocuted himself but didn't seem too bad off from it. Zeru jumped too, hearing the electrical current and looking up. He chuckled a little bit, smiling up when he realized Sylvan was just fine. Kinda crazy but hey.

"Zeru," he said up to the Gunsniper and its pilot, since they were all introducing themselves and Sylvan already knew his name.

Anyways. Cornwall roared up at the other Fury and extended his Buster Claws, seeing the missiles shoot off. The bases crackled and glowed as he stomped forward to shield the group... well, he was shielding Elena, but everyone else happened to be clustered around the Saber Lion. By the time he got there, the Sniper had stopped shooting, and the shield shot up to protect them all.

Ah think yer Fury isnae yer Fury anymoor,

"...what?"

Cornwall just growled and deactivated his shield, folding the blades back down and spinning them. If the other Fury wanted to fight, then it was on.

"NOT GOOD! SHIELD SHIELD SHIELD SHIELD!!!!"

Sylvan raced to board his Dilofroce, and began to jam the energy shield button. However, nothing seemed to be happening. The fact was, his small Zoid was simply too depleted of energy to muster up a shield.

He stood in the open-air cockpit, expecting to have fiery explodey death come raining down any second. But it looked like he was saved, the people around him using their own Zoids managed to defend against the unexpected barrage.

"Who am I supposed to stop it? I'm not piloting it!"

Sylvan thought to himself, with all his strange gizmos and gadgets, he should have had something for this kind of situation. But alas, he didn't. So he resorted to the thing he knew best. Random panic.

"AHHHHhhhhhitsgunnashootagain!"

Pointing, Sylvan stabbed a finger at the Zoid, the missiles batteries were open and facing this way. But luckily nothing came fourth this time.

"Eh? they are out of missiles?"

Much more calmly this time, Sylvan managed to separate his words into something slightly more intelligible than his previous statement.

But what made him snap back to "serious mode" was the fact that his Zoid let out a roar, and began to charge down towards them. Something wasn't right. He knew his Zoid's personality. even if it didn't speak and he knew that it would never launch an attack unprovoked. Yet the way it acted, also implied that perhaps it wasn't being forced into this situation by a pilot. Quite an odd predicament indeed.

"Shoot it down! Before it gets us!"

He had no problems with it being shot at, right now there was just too much weird stuff going on for him to worry about.

Jessica brought her aim down on the fury and started to fire both her machine guns and the beam cannon right as Sylvan said to attack. “You don’t have to tell me twice! Sylvan, any extra equipment we need to know about?” She asked over the com hoping the diloforce had enough energy to use it’s communications at least.

Then, as the red fury started to charge he set off the remainder of the traps around him. The black electrical coils started to sway around reaching for fury. “Hey, tan fury! Try and keep him within those traps! If we can get one of them to grab that fury we might be able to retrieve it with minimal damage.”

Violet’s missile pods opened as Jessica fired half of her missiles down the canyon towards the red fury with hopes to do some adequate damage to keep it back into the traps. Violet was starting to back away not wanting to get too close to a rampaging berserk fury.

"I just hope that charged particle cannon doesn't fire! I don't know many things that can stop such an assault."

The chromed blades glimmered in the light, which reflected back off of Cornwall's eyes to make them reflect white. He stared at the other Fury as it made to attack them with more missiles, and guffawed when nothing happened.

Ah wonder if ye can fight wi' yer claws as well as ah can, he commented to nobody or nothing in particular, flexing his chrome digits and Buster Claws as he looked up and his eyes turned back to green.

Zeru had given up on understanding the Fury at this point. All he really cared about now as the fact that he wanted to be in an actual cockpit instead of the open air unit that the Saber Lion had. Unfortunately... that meant that he was going to have to pilot Cornwall. He wasn't exactly thrilled about it, but he walked Elena over to his side and got the lion to poke him.

"Hey Cornwall, let me in."

The tan Zoid turned his head to look, eyes flickering, but after a look from Elena, he sighed and flipped open his cockpit to let the boy in.

Watching with mild amusement, Pulse stayed where he was sitting on the Lion's back. No need for him, he didn't think, so the cat was content with just watching.

Luckily, Zeru had been in a Fury before (he'd been in lots of Zoids, really, but this was all a few years ago) so he knew about what he was doing. He knew close enough anyways, and got himself set in the seat. Cornwall brandished his blades and roared, turning to watch the Gunsniper shoot. He added his own high powered lasers in, trying to pepper the red Fury with gunfire and force it back into the traps.

"Any extra what?"

Sylvan replied through the comms on his Diloforce, they seemed to be running despite the low power.

"No it doesn't."

He began to make his reply, until he realised that it possessed an energy shield. He had become so accustom to the device, he almost thought it was a part of the standard equipment.

"Oh wait, actually, it has an energy shield. But it shouldn't be able to use it."

The lasers cracked fourth out of Cornwall, and combine with a missile barrage, the attacks headed for Sylvan's Berserk Fury Z.

The Zoid faired pretty well for being on a rampage. But not well enough, the ammunition erupted around it, blasting off armour and sending the Zoid reeling. A trap triggered, latching onto the leg of Sword. The large Zoid was roaring in frustration as it pulled out it's trump card.

The cockpit flung open, but there was no pilot inside. Instead a smaller Zoid came out, an organoid that had had been linked to his fury. It obviously wasn't fused just yet, but it had been effectively piloting the Berserk Fury Z, by using kind of telepathic link.

Not wasting time, the silver beast opened up it's sides, revelling an array of boosters. Red flames shot out as the organoid merged into a ball of energy. Within a second it had arced through the air and fused with the downed Berserk Fury Z.

Instantly, energy pulsed through the Zoid. Slowly it stood, the energy passed over it's wounds and healed them significantly. The many 18 boosters equipped on the Fury Z began to glow. Rather than release their standard white-blue flames, red-white ones shot fourth.

Sword blasted free from the traps, and activated it's energy shield.

"But that's!"
Sylvan exclaimed a little late, the Zoid moved towards the group, it's new speed was excessively faster than before.

Jessica cheered. “Got him!” She said and then watched the cockpit open. “That’s it, no chance in running you, organoid?!” She yelled seeing the smaller organoid launch and fuse. “You know, I didn’t see that coming. Wait, an organoid can fit into a zoid’s cockpit and pilot it?”

The trap gave a nice bit of a struggle against the boosters for a good half second before the prongs broke off from the trap. Most continued to stay latched into the armor for a few seconds even as the energy shield activates.

Violet roared in fear as she spun and with a good push of boosters she jumped to the side just out of the charge. Then the air buffeted her, nearly knocking her aside and violet turned quickly to face the red blur and roared out. “That’s fast, too fast.”

[color=orange]“Anyone have an idea how to stop it?”[color] Jessica asked while violet was backing away towards the canyon wall. She was backing away from Sylvan and Zeru as well.

Zeru watched as the dust started to clear, wondering if they'd managed to get the Fury into another trap and stall it for a bit. He grinned and perked up when he saw that they actually did, thinking it a victory for them. Didn't want to damage Sylvan's Zoid and everything.

"Yeah, we got 'em," he agreed with Jessica, listening to Cornwall rumble warningly as the Fury's cockpit opened. The lot of them were surprised when it was an Organoid that came out; Pulse stood up and flicked his ears up, body color flickering faintly. "An Organoid?"

"Vohn!" Pulse roared, his own small cluster of boosters lighting up as he shot into the air. The little Saber Lion took off as soon as she saw the red bullet heading for them, and the tanish Organoid shot into the tan Fury's core, leaking white light from between his armor plates.

A surge of familiarity coursed through their pilot, and Zeru yanked the controls hard to the side, making the tan Zoid duck off and away from the other Zoid, flicking the glimmering Buster Claw out to try and catch the other Zoid with it. Cornwall locked his talons in so he didn't get thrown from the speed of the Fury rocketing past.

The Fury thrashed his tail as he watched, looking between the other Fury and the Gunsniper, his eyes flickering lavender, green, and white. "Well, we have to stop it somehow... its really fast, though," he admitted, never seeing a Zoid move with that kind of speed before.

((OOC: woops. . . >.>;; I didn't think it was my turn . . . . sorry))

The red comet raced up towards the group. It looked more than a little menacing, to say the least. Flames shot out the back of the energy shield. The barrier seemed to merge with the Zoid, giving it a surreal look.

The Zoid no longer moved like an animal. Now it behaved like a bullet, travelling straight and true.

Sylvan bearly had time to react as a massive noise sounded out through the valley. The sound of the roaring boosters had reached the group, only a fraction of a second before the Zoid itself arrived.

He barely even saw it impact the other fury's buster claw, before it had travelled past the onlooker. From the aftermath, he could tell that his Zoid, Sword, had been hit with a glancing blow. Cutting it's shield power by a great deal.

The air rushing past him, made it difficult to even breathe. Sylvan clung desperately to the Diloforce's motorbike-esq cockpit. He was forced to shut his eyes, as Sword began to make it's turn. Sylvan knew, that travelling at such speeds would make the Zoid's turning circle terrible. He wanted to shout out, and let the other's know. Yet his breath escaped him.

"I hope they can stop this soon!"

Sylvan thought to himself as his former Zoid began to turn right, skiing across the floor like it was as ephemeral as snow.

Jessica let her eyes drift to the ammo counters and then back up to the red bullet. “What a wide turning…radius.” She groaned at the near obvious idea. “Hey! Zeru! I have an idea. Force it to turn into a rock wall or aim for the legs! Just like clipping a wing off a bird.”

Jessica’s plan had a number of faults and openings in it but at least it was an idea. Violet was backing towards the canyon wall now and the tail tapped solid rock. As she did Jessica depressed the triggers to fire at the comet and with any luck do some damage before it moves.

Violet gave a vicious growl to which Jessica responds. “Yea, if that thing charges at us I don’t know what we’d be able to do about it.” She was worried as she tried to keep the reticles on the zoid.

Talons and footlocks slammed down for a second to keep his footing, Cornwall wrenched them up when the shockwave passed, growling around his teeth at the red Zoid as it started to turn. A big wide turn. The thought occurred to him when it occurred to the other two.

"We don't want to seriously damage it, though," he said, since it was Sylvan's Zoid and everything. But since it had that shield, maybe crashing into the rock wall wouldn't be fatal. Either way, they were all going to be smashed if they didn't stop it.

Elena stayed next to the Diloforce, for whatever good she would do. But she didn't want to leave Sylvan all by himself in his Dilo, so the little Lion crouched next to him, tail flicking.

Seeing Jessica back her Zoid up to the rock wall like she did, Zeru guided Cornwall to do the same thing, quickly maneuvering the Zoid with Pulse's help. His Buster Claws flipped forward to crack off a few shots of laser fire for the other Fury, trying to hit the legs or tail, where the boosters were. Cornwall crouched slightly, spreading his stance and getting ready to jump should the need arise.

No sooner had the berserk fury Z begun it's turn, than it began to strike oncoming fire. From behind, the Zoid was vulnerable since its shield didn't extend that far. But the organoid wasn't going down without a fight.

The backpack on Sword swung out to the side. The boosters mounted there began to force the Zoid into a faster turn. In an almost desperate move, the Zoid slammed it's leg down into the earth. This act had a much more prominent effect than before. Skidding wildly it spun 180 on the spot, to face back the way it had come. Even though it was now facing the right way, it was still fighting against it's previous momentum. Flying backwards, the boosters flared to an even higher peak as it struggled against the G-Forces straining the Zoid.

Electricity crackled, and a sudden shudder indicated that one of the Zoid's feet had snapped off. The limb was already strained from the traps, slamming it into the ground at high speed was more than it could take, even if a organoid was reinforcing the structure.

Finally sword had reached a neutral speed. Wild flames shot from the boosters, as the Zoid hung for a moment. As that instant passed, Sword shot forward once more, accelerating towards the party.

As it neared, the remnants of the shield shattered. The attacks had been taking their toll, and the orgaoind was beginning to weaken.

The Berserk Fury Z began to glow. Energy crackled around the Zoid. Each crevasse in the armour began to glow a different colour. Golden light made its way towards the talons, charging the strike laser claw. The mouth charged blue-white as the electron bite fang energised.

With it's weapons at full power, it charged down the Zoids that stood before it.

Violet roared loudly seeing the leg breaking off under its own stress. Jessica was already taking aim at the other leg with her machine guns. Then she heard the sharp tone of a missile lock. There was only a second before she pushed down on the missile trigger. Both missile pods opened and the remaining eight missiles launched.

“Hit it! Hit it!” She then noticed her missile target lock was broken and even though Violet was out of missiles the lock should of stayed on the zoid, but it’s speed might of broken just her target lock, but she was wondering. Was it too fast for her missiles already?

Violet was crouching down ready to dodge to the side away from the rock if it was truly charging right for them. It growled as her whole body turned to face Sylvan and the others.

Cornwall and Zeru kept an eye on the speeding bullet Fury while it maneuvered, eventually stomping its foot into the ground so it could whip around and face them again. While it cost the Zoid its foot, it was still a feat. No, er, pun intended.

The sniper next to them roared, and the tan Zoid growled and crouched down, holding fire for the moment so they could see.

The Zoid speeding towards them looked like a comet of light and energy, crackling and glowing. Zeru heard Pulse growl a warning at him, and nodded once. "I hear ya, Pulse,"

Cracking off a few more shots for the other Fury to get it to slow down or disable it, they waited a few more seconds before leaping out of the way. Cornwall fired his boosters and shoved off with his legs, jumping off to the side and away from the rock wall the best he could, hitting the ground and stumbling, looking back to see what had happened.

((OOC: oh snap! . . . I didn't think it was my turn =[ Sorry! I'll be sure to check my logs more often))

The Berserk Fury Z shot forward, barraging through the gunfire at high speed. The Zoid was enraged by the shots, it surged wildly against the tide for several moments, before the impact hit it. Chunks of armour snapped off, twisted and distorted from the violent explosions. The pure-red armour that lay beneath the CAS was now exposed to a great deal.

If it had been a normal Zoid, it would have entered a system freeze by now. However, the organoid inside surged forward, replacing the Zoid's will with its own. The brief vitality gave Sword the power to move forward. Cutting through the smoke of spent shells and missiles, the glowing Zoid roared one last time. It was only moments away from the two enemies. It was too late to stop, the organoid, consumed by the fleeting emotion of the battle, had only a moment to realise what was about to happen. Just beyond it's foes, it made out the large rock wall. In the eyes of the Zoid, time seemed to slow. The enemies shifted, strafing out of the way.

Then, just as quickly as it came, the moment passed on.

A catastrophic collision occured, emitting a violent shockwave out from the source of the impact. Dust and debris exploded out, concealing the fate of the red Zoid. A few seconds passed, and out came an eerie silence. The Zoid was down and out. The columns of dust began to part, with it revealed the Berserk Fury Z stuck sideways in a large crater embedded into the cliff side. The green optics faded, all traces of the power that once caused the Zoid to glow, were now gone.

Suddenly, shattering the silence, a red-white pule of energy shot from the side of the Zoid. The energy quickly ebbed away, to uncover the small dinosaur organoid inside. The Organoid, having spent most of its power, was not in good shape. It hit the ground running, but soon lost balance and collapsed into a tumbling heap. Skidding, it came to rest at the bast of a Diloforce. Sylvan stood just next to the metallic beast.

Jessica took a deep breath and let herself relax as her eyes drift to the ammo counter. "I need a gustave or something. I can't keep carring only a single round worth of ammo around." She said and violet stalked towards the sevearly damaged Sword and growled. Jessica zoomed in on what was an obvious bit of damage and moved the view around slowly looking for any sign of light or petrification.

Violet stopped just next to sword and pushed lightly against it to see if it would fall over, but as lodged into the rock as it was Jessica opened her cockpit.

"Zeru, Sylvan, I'll look this guy over. Maybe his core is still good. Call, a transport or maybe even Ebonay Airbase for help." She said on the coms and then shut it off to speak to herself. "This damage is insane, if it survives this, it's just a single testiment to just how strong a fury can be. If not, then I hope Sylvan can get a new one."

Jessica jumps from Violet onto Sword's leg and climbs up, using the shreaded armor like a ladder to climb up the rest of the way to personally inspect Sword's torso area, looking for any opening that would lead to the core, or any start of the petrification shown with a dying or dead core.

Violet slowly backed away growling at Sword watching the zoid as if waiting for it to come to life again. The Sniper's tail twiched and it looks up to the rock that burried it's cockpit and front.

The Fury stayed intent and still while the dust cleared and settled, revealing the situation to them. Zeru let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding, seeing the other Zoid disabled but not completely destroyed.

His own Zoid, however, didn't relax. Even after Pulse zipped from the core in a streak of white to land nearby and shake himself off. The tan Fury stalked past Pulse, opening his eggbeater weapons and wafting the remaining dust away. Zeru wasn't sure what to think of the damage, but at least it wasn't completely blown up.

"Transport? I don't have a transport..." Zeru turned Cornwall's head to look at Sylvan, to see if he had some mode of transport to call. If not, then he'd have to contact the airbase to get some help. But, for now, they kept an eye out over Jessica, and the Organoid on the ground that had shot out of the Fury.

Pulse was curious about the other, so once he'd situated himself, he padded over to his brethren to see if he was alright too. Had taken a lot of energy out of the Organoid, or at least Pulse had to assume.

((OOC: I'm back now, I should be able to post regularly once more.))

The downed organoid didn't move much, save a low growling noise. For some obscure reason, this put Sylvan's concerns to rest, the organoid wasn't dead, and neither was his Zoid. However, both were critically damaged it seemed.

Cautiously he put a hand on his sword, in case the organoid decided to do something rash. A few moments passes, and he realised that it was going anywhere soon. Relaxing the grip on his sheathed weapon, it was only then that he realised the others were speaking to him.

"huh? Oh what? yeah. I've got a transporter. A hover cargo. however. . . ."

He scratched his head. He had split up with his transporter, before his Zoid was stolen. It had gone the long way around the valley.

Sylvan frowned a little, this was quite the predicament. It was possible that he could get the hover cargo to come in here, but that would be risky considering the size of it and the terrain that had to be covered.

"I think I'm about to be a genius."

The red haired man remarked with a smirk, patting the diloforce next to him.

"I can set one of these Zoids to guard the area, Sleepers are good at that. I can then take the other one back with me to the hover cargo, and I can grab a few flying Zoids. I should be able to recover Sword that way. . . . Of course, I'll have to wait until these two recover their power."

Sylvan pointed at his small scale Zoids.

"What do you guys rekon?"

The organoid lying on the ground began to twitch, but didn't have the energy to stand.

Jessica took a few steps along Sword's leg before climbing down. "Hmm, go get the hover cargo and flying zoids? Sounds good. I'll stay here too. I have personal reasons for that. I've been searching for these traps."

On the ground her feet lead her to the brunt of the traps. "Zeru, wouldn't it be faster and easier, to take your two zoids to the hover cargo with that organoid? The Saber Lion looks fast, not as fast as a fury but faster then if you waited for these two to recover. Who knows, they may be ready to go when you get back."

Violet stalked towards the edge of the traps and growled. She roared to Jessica who looks up. Violet motioned down the canyon a few times before growling. "What? What's down the canyon?" She asked looking down to where Sword came from. "Violet, I don't speak Raptor. Now, what is it?" Violet just gave another growl motioning down the canyon.

Jessica just shrugs and looks back. "So, what do you think? Let me watch these three zoids, and maybe even take appart one of these traps or wait it out till tomarrow morning to go after that hover cargo?"

------

Down the canyon, the command wolf was now abandoned. It's main cannon and one front leg damaged to the point it was imobile. The wolf's Core and Memory was intact. Infact, it still held the map of all the traps down the canyon and a way to travel through the "mine feild".

Pulse rumbled faintly to himself as he looked over the other Organoid. It wasn't in any shape to do anything, but it was alive at least. Seeing that it wasn't going anywhere, the tan Organoid trotted back over to Cornwall.

The tan Fury stood where he could hear both people, looking back and fourth between them as they spoke. Pondering to himself what they were going to do, Zeru sat up a bit when Sylvan spoke, looking at Jessica when she suggested Zeru going.

Oh, I can't keep up with Cornwall, Elena, the lion, explained, watching the girl climb down off of the Fury. Cornwall and Zeru both perked up a little bit, though, "But, if you want me to go find your Hover Cargo, Sylvan, I can do that. Elena can stay here with you guys and make sure nobody gives you trouble. I can go get your Transport and bring them over here," he offered, turning the Fury's angled face to look at Sylvan.

It would be faster then waiting for the Diloforce, at any rate, and Zeru really didn't mind. Whatever the rest of them were comfortable with, that's what he would do. He'd be helping out either way, so it didn't matter to him.

Sylvan pondered the respective ideas that had been thrown around. Out of them all, his own was probably the least practical.

"So much for being a genius I guess I'll have to go back to being a boring Zoid pilot again *sigh*"

Sylvan thought silently to himself, even sighing in thought, which was a little strange.

After their collaborated discussion, Sylvan thought Zeru's idea made sense. There was no real need for Sylvan to go all the way there in person, and back again. All they needed was someone to guide the way and pick up either the energy liger or Storm Sworder FX (Sylvan stressed the FX to himself, those two letters were burnt into his mind from the pilot constantly and insistently correcting people)

"I think Zeru's Idea sounds like a good one. Hopefully by the time you get back, these guys might have recovered. Who knows?"

It didn't really matter if the Diloforce were able to recover in time, all it meant was that more trips would be needed. Most of the flying Zoids Sylvan had would be able to carry a small Diloforce without much trouble at all.

"You'll probably want to get either Kit or Royston to help carry Sword back. Those two are in the hover cargo, and pilot some pretty fast flying Zoids."

He noticed Violet growling, but Sylvan dismissed it when he saw the pilot do the same. She had mentioned something about the traps, that pilot Jessica. Sylvan was somewhat curious about them himself. The red-haired man was always one to embroil himself in new technologies, although these traps were news to him.

"I think that sounds like a good plan, unless someone has any other ideas?"

Sylvan had a sudden twinge of guilt, making them go so far out of the way to help him. But they didn't really seem against the ideas so far, so that put him at ease somewhat.
