It was early in the morning, a perfect time for a lone Zoid to creep around between the stone buildings without being noticed, trying to find the most secluded place he could. The black, blue, and gold Zoid twitched his tail, antennae bits sticking straight up for a moment before he slunk behind a big stone brick looking structure, deeming the area to be safe and quiet and mostly asleep at this hour.

Crow lowered his head and opened the canopy, and a pair of gold-tuffed, blue ears poked up sloooowly from the edge, followed by a sleek blue head and bright yellow eyes. He glanced left... glanced right...

The Jager eventually got tired of him sitting there, so he tilted his head and dumped the Organoid onto the pavement.

"Hey!" instead of an Organoid, there was a young man flailing around on the ground. He stood up suddenly, brushing dust off of his dark blue hair and glaring at the Jager. Crow simply shrugged at him, standing up and padding off to find somewhere to nap for the rest of the day. "Fine then, lazy lump," he straightened his clothing and went off into town.

It wasn't too long before his nose was assaulted by a tasty baked smell. He was walking past a bakery and they were making the day's sweets. The Human appearing Organoid stopped and just about drooled, seeing them put out a fresh batch of sugary cookies, baked to golden brown perfection.

Unfortunately, Loki didn't have any cash to buy said cookies.

But, maybe he could get some? Somehow...

And that was how Loki was going to spend his morning. Trying to find some way to purchase some delicious sugar cookies.

Jessica was impatiently standing in line. A dark scowl on her features as she tapped her foot rapidly. As soon as the person ahead of her ordered she put her hands down and points right to the tray of cookies just set out. "I want a dozen of those cookies to go."

The woman who was working the register jumped as Jessica pulls a long box from her coat while waiting. "Useless dealer. "Oh we didn't know it was going to be used for something like that." Bah! I even gave them a sketch and a mold. Hmph. Why else would I request a knife and the specific metal. They didn't even get the grip right! Just wrapped some cheap plastic around it."

As soon as Jessica recived the cookies she paid and stomped off, leaving her change behind. She walked right out the door into the morning sun. A crisp sea breeze pushed against her bangs and glasses. "Feels good."

Jessica lifted the cookies to look at them. "That slacker is probably napping on top of Cobalt instead of actuality cleaning the hanger floor, like I told him to. No use leaving and getting mad at him yet. Maybe I'll get a drink at the usual place. Jessica said more to the cookies then anyone or anything else.

She started off down the road in a deep almost brooding mood. Every time she thought about anything of herself it came to a Dead end. Even now, why did she just buy a dozen fresh sweets? "Hmph, I guess this will really help me calm down." She opened the box and reached in for a single cookie.

So...

"Getting cash is hard,"

Aint that the truth. The blue Organoid was learning the hard way that unless you had this mystical job thing, getting things you wanted was pretty hard. And, being an Organoid who was just suddenly alive after years and years of sleeping... well. He had barely a clue of what was going on around him.

"Looootsa humans around this place," he said to himself, once again finding his feet carrying him past the bakery after a while of failure. He was a little disheartened, but wasn't about to give up ye-

Wait.

Before he even realized his nose twitched and he turned to see... a girl with bright colored hair and... cookies! But were they sugar cookies?

Better question, how could he get some?

(A better question would be, why would she give a cookie to a creepy dude who just randomly asks for one?) he frowned to himself, then realized something important.

He was an Organoid, dur. And a cute doggy-thing to boot. Everyone loves Organoids, right? Obviously!

Loki glanced around, making sure nobody was staring at him, before cautiously backing into the shadows, only to bound back out as the dark blue jackal. Cookie cookie cookie~ he panted as he bolted to catch up to Jessica, sniffing around her shoulders at the box and the cookie she had in her hand.

No sense of a personal space bubble, not at all.

Jessica couldn't mistake the sound, metal paws on the stone step. So she just assumed it was someone with an organoid and didn't bother looking until she felt it in her bubble of personal space. Sniffing her and checking out the box of cookies.

With a low sigh she just keeps walking and callously eats the cookie in hand. Well it did help her feel better even as she felt the organoid would fallow her. She tried to ignore him for a few seconds more before stopping dead in her tracks suddenly. "Yes?" She said sounding very annoyed and possibly angry.

Jessica turns to look at Loki looking up and then down to the Jackal. She had to admit, he did look like a cool organoid. Then her mind strayed to several thoughts at once. Could she use this organoid to her own devices. Did this one have an owner. Her green eyes scanned the area leaving the cookies semi unguarded for now.

That's when a box that was in her jacket for now fell out. It broke open showing a rather cheap looking knife made of steel. "The piece of junk." She said now looking at it on the ground, wondering if she should pick it up or not. "Anyway, you wanted something organoid?"

The blue Organoid was not deterred by the woman and her irritation, though his ears wiggled back and fourth a few times at it. He'd have to fix this dire situation and cheer the girl up!

After he got a cookie!

He slammed to a stop when she did, plopping his hind end on the ground and rearing up onto his haunches, clasping his paws together. The people around them either shied away from the Organoid or peered at him curiously, with no obvious owner for the jackal in sight.

Oh, please miss, he started with a little whine, somehow making his eyes huge and cute. I'd really like a cookie there, yes I would, he whined, tail wagging.

The Organoid stayed in place, but his nose snapped down to look at the knife, blinking at it a few times. Wonder what she had that for? But it wasn't too strange for a person to have a knife, so he really didn't think too much about it.

Instead he went back to begging and trying to be cute. It was debatable if it was working or not, Please?

She listened to the pleading half heartedly and then looks down to Loki. "You want a cookie? I'm just going to ask one thing. What do you want it for? I didn't think organoids even had a stomach or taste buds."

She kneels down to pick up the knife and it's box. A scowl on her face as she did so, more at the knife then the organoid especially as she opened her coat to stuff it into a pocket again.

"So where's your owner pooch." She said now looking right into those big cute eyes. She didn't seem phased one bit by the noid's look for a bit before she smiles coldly. "Or do you not have an owner?"

Jessica was still thinking: Would she need a dozen cookies? Could this organoid help? Could she claim this one? Why did it beg me for cookies? Only one of those questions was asked in a faint tone. "Why beg for cookies from me?"

I want it so I can eat it. What else would someone do with a cookie? the Organoid yapped, tail wagging. He stayed in his pose, up on his haunches with his forepaws clasped before him, till her attention went back to the ground. The Organoid wrinkled his nose, but dropped back to sit, golden claws kneading on the ground.

He curiously leaned his head over to peer down at what she was doing, jerking his head back when she stood up straight again. She looked back at him, and he flashed a dashing grin, coiling his head back and letting his ears stand straight up. I don't have an owner, nope. he said easily, because it didn't bother him at all. The jackal tilted his head at her when she mumbled something, and he parted his jaws, letting his tongue hang out as he panted.

Because you have cookies. And because you look like something is bothering you, and it's my Personal Goal In Life to end all suffering. I'm like the Buddha but cuter, the Organoid smiled and wiggled his tuffed ears at her. Nevermind how he even knew about Buddha.

Jessica had to wait and think about it for a bit. She thought of the term Buddha and and everything.

She remembered one story of a man named Buddha and frowns. "You're like the Buddha but cuter? So you like, starving yourself, whipping yourself and trying to find a higher meaning to life?" She only heard the first half of Buddha's story not the second half where he finally realized he needed to eat himself fat and enjoy life.

Jessica then looks to the organoid while thinking about it. One sugar cookie, would it be bad to give an organoid a cookie to go away. Or could he be used for something.

"Ok, lets make a deal. Since you're trying to end my suffering. You can help me be sure an order is done right now. That knife I got is supposed to of been made of Platinum Metal Zi, and shaped differently. As a potential universal tool. Got the idea from this man with a sword of the same metal."

"And, for helping me. I'll give you half of these cookies. Deal?" She said now waving the cookie around inches away from Loki's nose. "But before I even bother going back to that shop, I'm off for a nice drink to unwind while they try to get my order right. If it's wrong again, your to help be sure they fix it properly."

Jessica gave an evil grin. If this organoid is willing to work for cookies, maybe she could get him to do alot more for cookies. He could be useful to help James and some of his failed plans. Maybe if anything keep him from getting lost in the desert.

The dark blue Organoid fixed her with a blank eyed stare when she spoke again, Nono. That's only part of it. But the point was that he aimed to end all suffering. It was a joke, by the way, he said, sitting back up on his haunches and spreading his paws out, pointing them at her.

At the mention of a deal, with relation to Sugar Cookies, the Organoid plopped his front paws back down and listened. It sounded easy enough, and the words couldn't come out fast enough when she mentioned half the box.

Done! he barked, hopping up. The Organoid acted like he was going to chomp the cookie in front of his nose, but held himself back. Luckily for Jessica's fingers, anyways.

Wonder why they messed it up so badly, the Organoid questioned aloud, tilting his head. Well, didn't matter to him. He'd follow the girl and get some cookies, and everything would be great.

Jessica gives a laugh at the speed he agrees. "Here, a down payment on your services." She tosses the cookie into the air and spins to continue to walk. Weather or not Loki caught the cookie, that was part of his six cookies she promised to pay him. She continued along the street even down a small side rode that was cast in the shadows of two buildings.

Beyond was a small cafe and a balcony overlooking a good view of the lower tiers of the city and the main port and even had a strong gust of fresh sea breeze bathing the area in the salty air. Jessica could see from there a large building where smoke was coming off of it.

"That's the store." She said pointing to the quartet of chimneys producing smoke at the edge of the port. "They're hard at work on other orders I'll bet. Did you know someone acctually ordered a metal zi set of pincers for a killer dome, that won't be picked up for another week, and yet they insist that my order is low key."

"Anyway, this is where I came for a nice drink to relax in the place where I first remember." She said it almost mystically and was on her way to an empty table.

"Karen. Give me a double of the usual and, what ever this organoid orders." She said to a waitress who was busy cleaning a table. She stopped to write down something and wait for Loki to order.

"Should it be one cup or two, with double fluff?" She said leaning on her heel as the sea breeze washes over the cafe like a fresh sea wave over the beach. Jessica set the box of cookies down and nods flashing a two with her fingers.

The Organoid's eyes snapped up at the cookie flying through the air, and he hopped to his hind paws and scrambled to get it. He managed to catch it, grabbing it between his forepaws without destroying it.

Oh delicious sugar cookie, he clicked his teeth together, licking his nose before taking a chomp of it, and darting off after Jessica with three paws. He quickly got sick of that, and when Jessica looked over before explaining about the store and showing it to him, she'd see the darker skinned, blue haired man, with a cookie in hand and a big grin on his face. He still had the same bright yellow eyes, though.

He shrugged, not really having an opinion on the matter of Killer Domes and claws and levels of orders, instead merrily nibbling away at the cookie. He did enjoy the view, though, and had to scramble after Jessica when she continued on.

Finishing up the last bit of his cookie, the young man beamed as he followed after her, brushing cookie crumbs off of his vest and shirt.

"First place you remember?" he asked. The Organoid-looking-like-a-dude awkwardly grinned at the waitress when Jessica said 'Organoid', and shook his head, "I'm fine, thank you," he scratched his head, and looked at Jessica, not sure if she wanted him to sit with her or what.

Jessica wasn't phased in the least at the change from organoid to human. Even when Karen stood there looking at her strangely for saying organoid. "He was an organoid when I met him. I'm sure of that." Karen just nods slowly before walking off.

Jessica let her eyes drift out to the port looking like she was deep in thought. "Yea, my earliest memory was... there." She points off to a hospital on the far side of the port. She gave a faint smile from that.

"Woke up in bed one morning, with this nurse yelling. "Doctor, doctor she's awake." Then I had to learn alot. Some how I could talk but any information just wasn't there. Would you believe that I had no idea what the deathsaurer was until I read about it?"

"So many questions, like why can I understand mechanical stuff better then I can understand people? Why do I get really bossy? Why when mad do I randomly buy a box of sweets? And why do I love purple?"

She looks over as Karen returns with two cups of hot chocolate with alot of whipped cream ontop. "Here you go, Jessica, Enjoy."

Loki wore a bright smile on his face, rocking back and fourth on his feet with his hand behind his head. He looked pretty sheepish, and didn't say anything about the whole 'he's an Organoid' thing. Best to just let the waitress think whatever she was going to think.

Still standing up next to the table instead of sitting, he looked outside, following where Jessica was pointing to see the building. "Some things I guess you never forget. I woke up not knowing whatever language I'm speaking right now, but I picked it up quickly enough. Still knew Zoidian, though," he shrugged. Loki wasn't too troubled by much at all, even being an Organoid and sealed away for a couple hundred thousand years and then thrown out into modern day. He sort of liked the present more then the past anyways.

"Deathsaurer... Deathsaurer," he didn't seem to know either, but eventually snapped his fingers with a grin, "Big ugly lizard, yeah," he grinned at her again.

"And you likely love purple because it's your favorite color? Don't see what more reason you'd need," he looked up as the girl came back with two mugs. He tilted his head curiously, but didn't ask or say anything.

Jessica pays and takes one of the cups of hot chocolate drinking the contents quickly. She sighs and grabs a cookie to scoop up some whipped cream and enjoy it. She had a faint smile on her lips as she looks over to Loki.

"So, you knew ancient Zoidian. I assume that how you said it you forgot the zoidian language when learning english." She said just messing with his wording. "I bet you would of been an interesting person to talk to, talking in half zoidian at one point and half english."

She then dipped a cookie into the cocoa. "It may be my favorite color but as far as I learned everyone has a reason why. Be it just cause of how it looks or cause it was the color of a favorite toy as a child. Some love blue because of the sea, water or just the sky. Others love green because it reminds them of grass. I only want to know the reason."

"What about you what's your favorite color? And why do you love it?" She asked now pulling the cookie from the cocoa and took a bite from it while chewing slowly.

"Knew? Hun, I can still speak it. I just don't have anyone to speak it with," he grinned at her, yellow eyes bright. He seemed somewhat proud of himself at what he said, "I just kind of kept quiet at first. My Jager actually got me started on how to speak, since he knew enough of the language to get by. I'm still learning even today, though,"

The human looking Organoid peered outside, watching some of the people out there. Now that he thought of it, speaking both languages would be a fun way to mess with people.

He looked back at her question, tilting his head to the side while he thought about it. "Dark blue, actually. And... heh, because I'm blue!" he grinned before laughing a little bit, "Yeah, I guess you're right. It might not be much of a reason, but I still have a reason for it. Hm," he crossed his arms, pursing his lips and staring at the floor.

"Now, what's purple? Flowers are purple! And, um..." he scratched his nose, trying to think of anything else he could think of that was purple that might spark a memory with her.

Jessica takes a deep drink of the cocoa and she starts to think along the list. "Something purple? My zoid is purple, but that was after I decided on purple as a favorite color." Jessica leans back while sipping at her cocoa now nibbling another cookie.

"You made sense, there are also precious stones that are purple. Even just some clothes. I wonder if my memory will ever return." She said and then looks over to make sure the second cup was still warm as she finnished the first.

"So, what's your name. You've made a deal for six cookies so far and I don't even know your name." Jessica lounged at the cafe enjoying the salty breeze as it brushed at some of her bangs. She took her glasses off and set them down next to her cocoa.

"Or should I call ya Buddha-noid. I'm tempted to call you pooch also but you didn't look like a normal dog. Something, wild."

Hurr, sorry this took so long. Dx

"Hm. There's not much that I can think of that's purple," he admitted. It was one of those odd colors, like bright orange, that wasn't seen too often. Which was a shame, because bright colors are fun.

"Well... hopefully it will? I only hope for your sake that it's what you really want," the Organoid-man said, hands behind his back and rocking back and fourth on his feet, if just for something to do while he stood. The best part about being mechanical? He never really got tired, at least not standing up for long periods of time.

The blue haired fellow laughed a little, realizing that he hadn't given his name. And yet, here they were, talking for a while, "Haha, that's right. I call myself Loki," he flashed a smile at her, warm and charming unlike the trickster thought that came from the name.

"And I'm a jackal. Wild dog from the desert," he explained, leaning forward a little bit, looking somewhat proud of himself. "But you can call me whatever, I'm not too picky,"

Jessica took another sip of her cocoa and then stood slowly. "Well pooch lets go." She said looking to Loki for a few seconds now pulling out some money and set it under the mug. She walks off holding the box of five remaining cookies. She then shoves it into Loki's gut to squish the box some and see if some of it vanished or if it actually stopped right at the stomach.

"Here, you can have these cookies, I'm feeling a lot better now. I doubt they'll get my order wrong but then again, how long does it take to mold platinum Metal zi?" She said now marching off while waving to Karen.

"Karen, I'll definitely return later tonight or maybe tomorrow morning to have a nice talk with you girl. Have fun and be safe." She blew a kiss to the waitress and skips off her hands now in her pockets.

Karen waved back as she brought a small basin to the table putting away the cups and pockets the money. "Bye Jessica, please come back soon." She waved before pulling out a towel to wash the table. "And you too sir. Come by any time."

Jessica didn't look back as she walked back to the main street. She stopped as people where shopping in this small market and she continues past a store front heading for the more industrial portion of the Port, looking back once or twice to be sure Loki was fallowing.

Loki perked up at the mention of leaving, and turned to follow her before getting shoved in the gut by the box. He wheezed a little as he reacted as if he really was a person and not an Organoid, and he had to fumble to grab the box before it fell. He was, in fact, solid.

"I, um, I don't know actually. That metal type wasn't around last I remember, so I'm not too familiar with it," he said, peering down at the box before it seemed to dawn on him what he was holding, and he opened it to grab a cookie, "And, thanks!"

With the cookie dangling out of his mouth, Loki held the box with his other arm and waved at the waitress. He said something back to her, and it would have been "I will!" if his mouth wasn't muffled by cookie.

He did, indeed, follow after Jessica, holding the box of cookies close like it was his lifeline and nibbling on the one he had with a look of joy. If he would have been in his Organoid form, no doubt his tail would have been wagging. But he was staying like this, for now, because having two legs and arms to carry the box of cookies with was way more useful then being four legged.

That and, you know, he wouldn't get stared at.

Jessica sighs as she keeps walking thinking about it. "Well, I did some research on the metal and it's lesser version. Metal Zi is one of the strongest metals on this world, Bio Darkness and Bio Volcano armor is superior but not by much. Platinum Metal Zi is a much purer version of Metal Zi, superior to all metals we can produce."

"I can tell you alot more like, both Metal Zi's do not conduct electrical or laser charges. And it's the only thing really good with slicing through a bio Zoid's armor." She then stopped to let a few people pass. "We got a small way to go would you like to hear everything I researched or read it yourself?" She pulled out a thick stack of papers that where folded in on itself.

She gave a small grin before looking over to Loki. "Or would you rather eat while I start talking about how me and Karen Met. I'm sure that's a more interesting thing then metals and boring research." She then started down a slanted path to the next level still on the way to the forge. At the rate Loki was eating them, the cookies would be gone by the time they get there.

"Or if you want you can do the talking and I can do the listening. After a cup of hot chocolate I'd prefer to listen. You can tell me what you know of the world before humans. If you remember it.

The man continued after Jessica, though he slowly got this glazed look on his face as she started to explain it. When did things become so complicated. Different armor types? He could remember Ice Armor and the thick plate of the Gilvader, but nothing that she was talking about now.

So when she pulled out the papers, he snapped out of his glazed look, half a cookie still in hand, and stared. Slowly, he tilted his head to the side at her.

"I, uh," he was stunned into silence for a few seconds, still trying to remember all the different metal types. He gave up quickly, though, shaking his head and making his hair fly around, "That sounds better. She was a nice lady! It sounded like you go there a lot," he took a bite out of the cookie, and finished off that one, licking his chops.

"And it was different," he said, opening the box as he walked to peer inside, trying to decide if he wanted another cookie. Only four left...

"The deserts were fields of flowers, but not all of them. Part of the Elemia was still there, but it certainly wasn't as big as it is now. That was where I came from," he decided that, yes, he did want another cookie, and reached into the box to get another one.

"I really didn't get to see much of the world, though. Crazy cult that I was a part of didn't like their gods to leave, so I pretty much had to stay in one place all the time," he chomped the cookie, looking like he was in heaven.

"Lots more fun now~"

Jessica gazed back to Loki for a bit. "The desert was lush and green? My my my, that's such a beautiful thought." She said, just imagining herself gazing in every direction and seeing green. "The zoidians where lucky, back then if they could remember that."

Jessica then sighed and asked. "So, you where a god? Interesting, but if one was a god then why did the cultists have any right to stop you? If they where truly your servants then they should of bowed and fallowed you. Right?" She gave him a grin her arms over her breasts.

She let her green eyes gaze to Loki eating the cookies. She's only met two organoids up close before Loki. One tried to kill her with a berserk fury. The other helped her with various other things. This one seemed more human then the others. She stopped to consider the facts and even looked to the street sign to see just where she was.

The smell of ash on the air and even the air seemed much hotter. Her green eyes turned to the sky and she could see the tall chimneys that spewed the black smoke into the sky, some flared as the furnaces where super heated. "Industry at work. Sometimes, I think that the reason the desert spreads is because of things like this."

He bobbed his head in a nod at her looking back at him, "Oh yeah, lots of grass and flowers if it was the right time of year. Zi wasn't quite as barren in the past as it is now," he glanced around at the city around them, remembering their city in the desert, with the grasses beyond. Felt like such a long time ago.

Twirling the half a cookie he still had in his hand, the Organoid-human shrugged off the question, almost, "See, at the time I had this weird sense of responsibility to them, because I was important to their way of life. Location is very important to way of life too, and I couldn't just lead them all off into the unknown and let them all die," he looked at her, nibbling on the cookie again now. It was hard to imagine the Organoid now with any kind of responsibility.

"That and besides, Sekky wouldn't have let me anyways," he pouted, "Even if I had wanted to."

The scent of industry reached his nose before it reached Jessica's, and he crammed the rest of the cookie in his mouth, holding the box tightly closed now. Skittering after the woman he was following, his mouth was full until he could finally chew it all up and swallow. "From what I understand, the Deathsaurer's Charged Particle Cannon was what killed off all the plant life. Razed the earth and all that," he cast a cautious eye around at the buildings.

"Though, I doubt this is helping the problem any, yeah."
