Title: Playing with Fire
Description: Beware of Breaker
Timber Okami - November 10, 2007 08:06 PM (GMT)
So much happening so fast... Jake was starting to wonder why he hadn't gone crazy yet. Then a helpfull voice in his head reminded him that he was crazy!
We're all mad here. >:
Anyways.
Jake was uncomfortable with... everything, and really just wanted to sleep for a while. Yet he wanted someone to talk to who wasn't his parents, so here he was, sitting and waiting...
You need to relax, man.
"Sort of hard when I have so much on my mind,"
The Wolf Organoid wuffed, adjusting herself even while the chair under her creaked and crackled. He watched with some degree of amusement as she tried to get comfortable on the little cafe chair.
"...you're going to b-" CRASH. "...break that chair,"
Steely blinked a few times, suddenly two feet shorter and sitting on a pile of splinters. She made a face and swept the shards into the shadow of the table, where they disappeared. Jake lifted his head from where it was resting on the table to look under and watch.
"...I still want to know how you do that,"
Magic. I'll be right back, you'll need another chair for when your little girlfriend shows up, the big silver Organoid stood up and trotted off to find said chair. Jake flopped back onto the table, stretching his arms out infront of him and staring at his hands.
You nervous? the noid asked, a stupid question. He'd been nervous since he'd contacted her. She, being the allmighty Steely, already knew what was up with him, and Jake seemed to accept the omnipresent Organoid's... ness. So he hadn't said anything about it. Given everything he's been through lately... it wasn't surprisging.
"...a bit. I mean... you know,"
She clomped back over, a chair in her mouth, It's not like you look any different Jake. Heck, you're not any different. So at least try and relax, she set the chair down and sat next to it this time, resting her head on the table to staaaare.
"...what are you staring at? D:"
Heh... nothing. she streightened up, fluffing the feathers on her neck, ...so, you gonna tell her?
At this, the Psychosis pilot sighed, "...I should, huh? I don't know,"
The Organoid wuffed, reaching a wing over to pat him on the head.
Well... just enjoy the time with her. It'll come to you,
"I hope so,"
Emily Cirano - November 10, 2007 08:35 PM (GMT)
...I don't like this. At all.
"So you don't, big deal. Matrix, you need to get over the fact that I am seeing someone now. Before I get inclined to spork you in the nose."
At this the Fury whuffed and nervously moved his head out of range of Chidori's tail, the spiked end waving gently back and forth. The Chimera snickered, turning her head to look at the other black Zoid, one clear eye flashing in a wink.
Still. :< You have to admit this is a little bit...odd.
Sighing, Emily tried to ignore the Fury, but he had a point. It wasn't everyday that giant wolf organoids poofed onto the breakfast table bearing invitations. To go someplace on a completely different continent, no less.
~Matrix, paranoia must run in your blood,~ Phantom snorted from her perch on the Chimera's face horn, looking out over the street. ~Now just be quiet and look for Az or something. I'm sure Jake's got a reason.~
"Probably."
Matrix just growled unhappily and resumed stomping along, occasionally stopping to sniff in an open doorway or two.
Timber Okami - November 10, 2007 08:51 PM (GMT)
The silver Organoid's ears perked up suddenly, she looked back over her shoulder at the very faint sound of stomping. Two pairs of two legs, if she had to guess.
Sounds like she's here. Wonder who else she brought with her, she stood up and turned around, standing up tall. Jake sat up and fidgeted, "What do you mean?"
...well, 'cource Matrix came with her,
This thought made him fidget slightly.
...o relax. Gosh. >.< She won't let Matrix hurt you,
When this didn't seem to calm him down, she sighed and hopped up, bounding down the street.
Y helo up thar. she barked up at Chidori and Matrix, rounding a corner and coming out right infront of the two Zoids. She wagged her tail and waved for them to follow, hopping back to where Jake was.
Emily Cirano - November 10, 2007 09:20 PM (GMT)
...Steely.
"What?" The Chimera skittered to a halt and looked down at the organoid in the street, snorting a puff of air at her. "Hiya Steel. o.o"
Matrix grumbled a hello, flicking his tail and then tromping around the corner up the street. A flash of purple caught his eye, and the Fury walked over to lean down and affix Jake with one black eye.
...what exactly are you trying to pull here?
"Matrix, get AWAY." Latching her set of large claws onto the back of the Fury's neck, Chidori dragged him away to the other side of the road and proceeded to sit on his head. Ignoring the fact that Matrix was thrashing his hind end around and coming close to toppling some buildings behind him, Emily emerged from the Bio core and slid down the Chimera's armor to the ground.
"Nutty Zoid. I ought to can you," she muttered, leaning against the black armor until Phantom dropped down and offered up the cane in her claws. "Thanks. At least some things around here can be helpful."
~Sure,~ Phantom said, looking around for a moment before flattening herself against the ground. Emily blinked down at her organoid.
"...what are you doing?"
~I'm waiting to be bricked by that purple lug, of course.~
"...right." Picking her way around Phantom, Emily limped across the street towards Jake, a smile spreading on her face.
"Hey. I see you're still in one piece," she said, stopping about a foot away and just looking at him. "Does this mean things went well with your sister'n all?"
Timber Okami - November 10, 2007 09:57 PM (GMT)
Steely barked as she led the way, clomping to a stop by Jake and barking. He looked over at the Organoid and patted her on the head.
Theeeen Matrix Happened. >:
Jake inched away from the black Zoid glaring at him, "Nothing?" D: he squeaked. Steely pinned her ears back at Matrix and snarled, electricy cracking in her throat.
...see?
He sighed, looking up just in time to see Phantom hit the dirt, "Vince isn't here. I don't know where he disappeared to,"
Watching Matrix and Chid for a second, Jake finally looked at Emily, and smiled too. It was a bit wary and tired, but it was there.
"...well, um," he fidgeted uncomfortibly, "...not really, to be honest," he admitted.
Steely, who was still standing behind him where the boy couldn't see him, hopped around as quitely as she could, flailing around to get Emily's attention. And once she had it, making a hugging mime. Haha, silly Organoid.
>.>
Emily Cirano - November 10, 2007 10:18 PM (GMT)
~...he's not?~ Blinking, Phantom cautiously removed one paw from her face and looked around. ~...oh. I knew this, rly. <<;~ Getting off the ground, the dragon shook herself and clomped on over to stand behind her owner, whuffing smoke up at Jake.
"...oh." Shifting slightly, Emily looked at Jake a little bit more closely, thinking quietly to herself that something was a little off here. Phantom rumbled, flicking her tail and then completely staring at Steely flailing around.
~...guess the kid needs a hug,~ the dragon passed on through a private link, looking somewhat amused now. Emily looked down at her organoid, completely uncertain. Phantom bumped her with her snout. ~G'wan, it won't kill either of ya.~
Hesitantly, Emily stepped forward and linked her arms around Jake's chest to give him a squeeze. "I'm sorry this stuff is happening to you, Jake."
Matrix grumbled under his prickly captor and Chidori thwacked him with her tail. >.o
Timber Okami - November 12, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
No, he's not. :P the silvernoid stuck her tongue out at the other silvernoid.
Jake fidgeted uncomfortibly under her look, looking down at the ground while the voice in his head just hissed. Steely stared at the back of his head for a second before going back to her retarded flailing. Lawl.
So, he wasn't paying attention when he suddenly became hugged. It was a bit surprising but entirely welcome. He hugged her around the shoulders tightly, "Nothing for you to be sorry about,"
Steely finally stopped hopping around like a moron and folded her wings up, she'd been using them to flail, and trotted over to Phantom. I can take you to see Vince if you'd like. He's in the same hangar with Azazel and the rest of Jake's Zoids. she looked meaningfully over at Chidori and Matrix as she said this, the last segment of her tail wagging.
"I'm fine enough, at any rate. What about you?" he finally let go a bit, stepping back and smiling a bit more. Hugs make everything better, yes.
ad;lkfjas;dlk I suck at emotional stuff. Why do I set myself up for crappy posts? WRY. *ducks bullets*
Emily Cirano - November 12, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
Emily snuggled into Jake's chest with a happy purr. Ah, that was much better. x3
Phantom whuffed with amusement, tail tip wagging slightly against the pavement. Her head swiveled to look over at Steely, interest showing in her optics. ~Uh... Can I?~
"'course. I don't need you here to watch me, sheesh. Give Azzy a pat for me," the blonde directed, nodding her head at the organoid. Phantom extended her wings and hopped into the air, hovering with broad flaps.
~Nifty. C'mon guys, let's go.~
Chidori chittered and bobbed her head, sliding off Matrix and latching her claws into his tail to literally drag him off the scene. But not before he gave Jake a last warning growl.
"Idiot," Emily mumbled, glaring at the Fury as he was dragged away. "I really didn't want him to come... Anyway." Stepping back a little bit also, she looked up at him and smiled again. Must be contagious. -cough- "I'm alright. A little tired... It was kinda a long trip over here."
Timber Okami - November 12, 2007 11:41 PM (GMT)
Hehe.
The Wolfanoid's large jaws spread in a huge grin, showing off every pointy canine tooth with her double overbite teeth. Deranged looking thing. o.o;
Vunderbar. Follow me, and don't make me fuse with you, Matrix! she barked, but didn't sound like she was joking. Sliding all six wings open, she pushed off into a hover without flapping. She flapped around above Matrix and Chidori, half leading the way and half making sure that the Fuhrer stayed in line.
"Sometimes she acts more like my Organoid then Vince does," Jake pointed out, watching the silver and gold wolf go. He looked back at Emily, unable to keep from grinning at least a little bit, "He's really... overprotective, huh?" Understatement, yes.
"Yea. I'm sorry about that, it's just..." he puffed a sigh, looking annoyed for a second, "...stupid. Anyways. The point is that I can't leave the city," he shrugged. It wasn't a big deal, he was used to cities. The reason was just stupid.
"...nothing more with that lot?" he asked carefully, as though being more direct would make Geno Maxis's fall from the sky or something. >.>
Emily Cirano - November 13, 2007 12:32 AM (GMT)
~I'm comin', I'm comin',~ Phantom snorted, giving her wings a flick and rising higher to float along next to the wolf organoid.
Matrix grumbled and looked generally defeated as he was dragged along by his tail, talons carving small furrows in the road.
"...unfortunately, yes. >.<" Sighing, Emily watched the black snout round the corner and vanish before looking back at Jake, shifting slightly to take some weight off her legs and more onto her cane. "You can't leave the city? That would explain it..."
She should have been expecting the next question, at least. Opening her mouth, Emily appeared to be choosing her words carefully. "No, not yet... Which, given my luck, means I'm probably going to be jumped anyday now." That was half a joke, but still. "Seriously, though. We're all fine. But Karen and Mark are staying in my base now and I have no privacy anymore. D:" Fidget.
Timber Okami - November 13, 2007 12:51 AM (GMT)
So! Steely lead them down the yellow brick road the street and heading for where the other Zoids were.
Anyways!
Jake chuckled a little bit as Matrix disappeared from sight. In a way he couldn't blame the Zoid... Azazel was the same way about his mother and father. He still hated Valon to a point.
He paled just slightly, hopefully Matrix wouldn't hate him forever! D:
"Yea. It's... a long story. I won't bore you with the details," he glanced up at the sky, watching a passing cloud. Huh, twas sorta starting to get cloudy, at least it looked like it was trying to. "...I wish I could hang around with you guys. Make sure that they don't come back," he growled.
Yea. It'd sure be fun to obliterate them like you obliterated that last guy, huh?
"...that can't be fun," he winced. Because, yes, no privacy sucked. He had a twin sister, and knew aaaaaall about that.
"...so, um," he fidgeted, reaching up to tug at the neck of his tie, "...you hungry?"
Emily Cirano - November 13, 2007 11:38 PM (GMT)
And Chidori followed with her load, whee. :D
Looking at Jake, Emily sighed when he paled, correctly interpreting what was going through his head. "He's not gonna hate you forever, promise. He just... doesn't adjust very well to change. Give him a month or something, he'll get used to it,"
"Long stories seem to be a theme with you." Chuckling, the blonde flicked her gaze up at the sky for a moment, noting the clouds curiously. Rain was a slightly foreign concept to her, being a desert dweller and all. Never saw rain fall until the wet season, which was for what...two weeks? Shrugging, she turned back to the conversation at hand. "I wish you could too, but... I dunno. Tank said Dragon poofed somewhere with Saber, and...that really creeps me out, for some reason. I don't think it'd be particularly wise for you to be around them."
...cough. "Yeah, it's not fun. She reads my mail. D: And Mark brought his Gunbluster, the thing is so annoying. It stomps around trying to shoot all my Zoids. >.<" Grumbling, Emily perked up at the offer of food. "Sure. Since you're...trapped in the city, I take it you know someplace around here?"
Timber Okami - November 14, 2007 09:57 PM (GMT)
"I hope so. D: He sort of scares me if only because he's... a Zoid," he sighed. Teeth and claws didn't scare him, but big angry black Furies sure did. Dealing with snarly white Dragons and a crazy Zoid of his own... and the only thing that really scares him is Matrix. Go figure.
"...yea. My life is just a series of long stories," he said, completely serious for a second. As serious as he could seem while he was staring up at the sky at any rate. He looked back down to listen to her, tilting his head everso slightly to one side.
"You know... if you really wanted me to, I could. I mean... yea. And don't worry..." his eyes flashed though he didn't seem to notice, nor do it on purpose, "I'm not afraid of Saber,"
He chuckled a little, reaching up and adjusting his Hat Of Epic Win. "Yea, that Gunbluster is like that. I thought he and Azazel were going to get into it for a while there..." he paused, realizing something. If it wasn't for Karen and Mark, he'd never of met Emily. Ahahahahahahahalol. Anyways.
"Well, um," he blinked, thinking, "I know of a lot of different places. What're you hungry for? I'm not picky,"
Emily Cirano - November 14, 2007 10:43 PM (GMT)
"Matrix is a pushover, really. Why else do you think Chidori can drag him around by the tail and not lose an arm?" Rolling her eyes, Emily glanced at the road and the claw marks the Fury had left in the ground. Great. Looking back at Jake, she cracked a wry grin for a moment. "I thought you were supposed to be stuck here in Helic?"
After a moment, her face returned back to being slightly serious and wistful. "Seriously, though, I wish you'd come back to my base for a bit. Dragon's place...isn't exactly what you'd call inviting."
Jake knew who Hermes wa - Ohright. He met them first, while she was stuck...being a vegetable in Guygalos. Riiight. Blinking at that little bit of information, Emily nodded sheepishly. "I can kinda imagine. Poor Azazel..." But onto the subject of food now, lol. The blonde paused, tapping her fingers lightly on her cane and thinking.
"I'm not terribly hungry," she said after a moment. "Maybe just a sandwich or something."
Timber Okami - November 15, 2007 09:00 PM (GMT)
"But Chidori is a Zoid. I'm-" Pause. "Well. I'm not big like they are, is my point," he too looked at the clawmarks in the street. Oi, they were as big as he was. Point made, I think. D:
"...well. I am. But, uh. Y'kno," he shrugged. We all know the reason, Jake, you don't need to say it.
"Yea, sure. It's maddening being stuck here anyways,"
No, that's just your default mental setting. Ahahaha.
Jake ignored the Annoying WTF for the most part, since a thought poked his mind, and it wasn't from annoying feathery mental things. "...does your cousin know yet, by the way?"
Butwait, food! Yes.
"Sandwich... Yea, I know of somewhere. 's not too far if I remember correctly. You good to walk?" he asked the last bit without really thinking about it, but regretted it a little bit afterwards. Asd;lk-stubborn, right. Not his fault he was just concerned.
...wanted to post this before I go home, so it sucks, lol! >.<
Emily Cirano - November 15, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
Emily sighed again and gave a little chuckle, shaking her head. "There's a reason Phantom's still alive too, Jake. And she's smaller than you are." Shifting slightly, the blonde carefully stretched her back and looked up at the Psychosis pilot. "My point being, don't worry about it."
Did her cousin know? Emily gave an embarassed cough and looked away, slightly nervous. "Well...no. Believe me, if she did, she would be here. And I would be hiding under a rock somewhere." Her eyes flicked over the buildings, taking in where they were standing. Didn't Karen just say Mark got them transferred into Helic? Oh great, she was at risk to be spotted just standing there in the street. >.<
Huffing, Emily was about to snap something at Jake when she remembered that he probably didn't mean anything by it. Taking a deep breath, she nodded. "Yes, I'm fine. Lead the way, handsome," she added with a tiny grin.
Timber Okami - November 16, 2007 12:48 AM (GMT)
"...Phantom has wings, though,"
Oh geez, Jake. Relax. Listen to the girl, will you? >.<
"Alright, alright. I'll try not to. He still scares me a bit, tho," he ruffled and adjusted his hat again, looking around as though Matrix was going to come stomping back to eat him or something. :K
He chuckled slightly, he didn't figure that Karen knew yet. "Heh... yea. Embrassing family is embrassing," just like longcat is long. Jake chuckled again for a reason that he didn't really get.
Somehow he could tell that she was about to snap, and smiled at her when she didn't. "Alright," he paused for a second, then offered her his arm. Aw. Isn't he cute.
--
The silver flying Woofanoid chuckled to herself as she started to descend, right into a slightly open hangar door. She blinked and looked around, spotting the wreckage of what was once a Gunguyarados and some kind of mutated Geno Breaker. Azazel was laying closer to the door, the two destroied Zoids were way back in the back, with Vince on his nose and Rebound laying next to him.
The beaked Zoid lifted his head, chirring curiously. Where's Jake? the Zoid paused, eyes flickering with realization.
...o rite.
Exactily, the 'noid extended her wings to full, and the hangar door opened enough for Chid to drag Matrix in. Vince lifted his head too, his earspikes sticking up. Wait, was it who he thought it was!? :O
Emily Cirano - November 16, 2007 10:48 PM (GMT)
...siiiigh. "Believe me when I say this, Jake. He scares everyone,"
Taking a few steps forward, Emily looked up at the Psychosis pilot and gave a sheepish smile. "You have no idea... Or maybe you do, you're the one with an actual sibling."
Emily blinked at his offered arm, surprised for a moment before linking her own through it and leaning on him slightly. "Aw, aren't you a perfect gentleman?" She asked jokingly, but with a smile.
--
Chidori clomped on in, still dragging Matrix by his tail. The Fury was grumbling and looking rather unhappy with the whole thing, so he didn't see Az and the wreckage of the Zoids in the back. The Chimera did, however, and dropped the black Zoid's tail to flicker her clear eyes in a blink and stare. Sheesh, what did you do?
What? Matrix's head swung around to look, one black eye flickering some undechiperable color for a moment before fading back to the normal dark shade. ...somebody tell me what's going on here. Before this urge to gnaw that boy's head off gets any stronger. >.<
Phantom snorted at the Fury as she glided in and landed on the ground, talons scratching at the floor as she pattered forward a few steps and then drew her wings in. ~Quit crabbing, Matrix. You must've left your brains at home, making threats like that in front of Azazel.~
Timber Okami - November 17, 2007 12:35 AM (GMT)
"That... does not surprise me at all. Why is he so overprotective, anyways?" he asked curiously. There was always a reason. He knew that Azazel had a reason at one time... but didn't know what it was. He didn't honestly think that he cared to know.
He rolled his eyes and grinned warily, "Yes. I know all about embrassing family. Everybody is weary around my mom, they say I look just like my dad, and my sister's whole purpose in life is to embrass me at every chance she gets. It.." he paused and frowned, "...it's annoying, but I love all of 'em all the same,"
...I was going to say something witty here but I don't remember what.
Jake ignored the voice, lol, and grinned at her when she blinked, streightening up and trying his best to look... gentleman-ly I guess. "I certainly try to be," he smiled, and led the way. Aw.
--
Azazel blinked a few times, and followed where Chidori was looking over to the wreckage.
It's a long story. Really. the Zoid rumbled, resting his head back on the ground again. But after a second, he lifted his head and hissed thinly at Matrix.
Warning you right now Matrix. Not in the mood for your shenanigans.
Vince slid off of the Breaker's smooth face to plop onto the ground. After righting himself, he clomped over for Phantom, while grinnning widely.
Siiilver! he purred loudly, clomping right up to the other Organoid. Once he was sure that he had the girl's attention, he stood up and gave the silvernoid a hug. How are you?
Azazel stared down at the Organoid, beady silver eyes deadpanning. ...now, see. Why can't Jake do that?
"...why can't Jake do what?"
Azazel froze. Vince froze. Everyone just froze, and very slowly the Breaker stood up and looked behind him. Yup. There was Katrina. Standing and curiously watching the lot of them with her own bright silver eyes.
Um. Nothing?
"Azazel, who's Zoids are these," she said. It wasn't a question by any stretch of the imagination. She already knew who they were and who they belonged to.
Uh...
Emily Cirano - November 17, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
"I have completely no idea. He won't tell me." Frowning, Emily gave a little growl of frustration. "Although, I have my suspicions it has something to do with my mother. >.<"
Walking along next to Jake, she listened to him talking about his family, curious. After all, she'd only met his sister so far. "...Liz seemed pretty nice to me. Sounds like you have a good family."
...notice, she's not entirely willing to talk about her's at all. Hmmm. <.<
--
Matrix snarled and opened his jaws to say something when Chidori stomped down hard on his tail. Roaring in pain, the Fury whipped his head around to glare at the Bio, sitting and whistling innocently.
Whaaaat?
If you weren't necessary right now, Chidori, I'd -
The Chimera cut him off with a loooong raspberry and then tromped into a corner for a snooze. Matrix grumbled and faceclawed.
Phantom squeaked and hit the ground, which was probably becoming a conditioned reaction at this point. When she wasn't immediately tackled into a far wall, she stood back up and looked around to huff smoke at the purplenoid.
~I'm fine,~ she whuffed, and then got glomped by Vince. ~...uh. o.o Nice to see you too?~
Matrix and Chidori poked their heads up at the sound of an unfamiliar voice. Black eyes flickering, Matrix stared at Kat, tilting his head to the side. He'd seen that woman before, somewhere.
Chidori flicked her clear eyes and then went back to sleep, woo.
While Phantom was still getting glomped by Vince and completely unaware of what else was going on.
Timber Okami - November 17, 2007 08:05 PM (GMT)
Jake 'hm'ed thoughtfully, thinking. "That would make sence. I guess..." he trailed off, hoping that she'd talk a bit more about herself and was a wee little dissapointed when she didn't.
"I guess. They have their moments... all different kinds of moments. >.<" he siiiighed. So very complicated. Ick. But, he was a bit curious about her, and nudged her very gently.
"...so, what about you? I can't keep going on about my life forever," he grinned.
--
Katrina watched the two Zoids carefully, and after a second finally spoke up, "You two are awfully talkative," pause, "Matrix and Chidori,"
Azazel sighed and stood up, stretching sleepily, Well you three, this is Jacob's mom, Katrina.
"I would say it's a pleasure to meet you lot, but this means that Jacob's disobeyed me again. >.<"
Vince hadn't been paying much attention up till now, after giving his friend a hug he sat down next to her and grinned in that weird toothless way he tended to do. Siiilver. Good. he nodded, then looked back at what was going on. He frowned at nothing in particular but didn't say anything aloud.
Chimera. he hissed in Phantom's ear, and pointed at Katrina. At that moment she looked right over at Vince, and the Organod put his paw down and tried to look innocent.
Emily Cirano - November 17, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
"Everyone has their moments." Emily looked a bit nervous at the nudge, and turned her head to look at some nonexsistent feature on a nearby building.
"I...don't really have much to talk about," she said finally, sounding somewhat ashamed. "I haven't really been home or seen my parents in about three years. And that was only for a day to check on Fawkes..."
--
Chidori blinked sleepily. Am not.
Matrix rumbled, banging his tail on the ground. I thought I recognized you. What do you mean, he's disobeying you?
~Don't be a prat now, Matrix,~ Phantom grumbled, sitting down next to the purplenoid. She blinked when he pointed at Kat, staring at the woman and tapping her talons on the floor. ~...what are you talkin' about?~
Timber Okami - November 19, 2007 04:49 PM (GMT)
Jake frowned and leaned over when she looked away, "Hm," he smiled and nudged her again so she'd stop looking away. "Sorry, I didn't know,"
He was quiet again, when a sudden thought crossed his mind. "...is Fawkes a Fire Phoenix?" another pause as he thought about something else, "And how long have you known Matrix?"
--
"I mean exactily what I said," she said to Matrix, looking away from Vince after studying the purplenoid. She watched the black Zoid for a second before sighing and starting for the door.
Azazel watched her, chirping like a giant bird. You're not going to go yell at him, are you?
"I'd like it if he listened to me when its for his own good, so yes I am," she paused at the door to answer Azazel, then turned and swept out the door.
...mmh. This whole situation sucks, the Breaker headfloored once and sighed.
Vince had stayed quiet the entire time, and once Kat was gone he looked over at Phantom. Chimera. he said, pointing out the door where she'd disappeared to. He pointed at Azazel too, who still had his face planted against the floor.
Emily Cirano - November 19, 2007 05:16 PM (GMT)
"Yes, he is." Glad for the chance to talk about something else, Emily looked up again. "I had to leave him at my house after a bit of an...incident, so I really haven't seen him recently."
Pausing, she was quiet for a moment, apparently thinking. "I've known Matrix... Five years? Why?"
--
Matrix listened curiously, eyes flashing blue at the prospect of Jake having his mother chewing him out. All the more reason to leave this place and get on to Nyx.
Speak for yourself, he rumbled, giving all his armor a ruffle and then poking at it. Grr, getting heavy and uncomfy.
~Uh,~ Phantom blinked again, before raising a claw to scratch the end of her snout. ~Should I be concerned for their safety now or what?~
Timber Okami - November 19, 2007 05:54 PM (GMT)
"Heh," Jake chuckled a little bit and waited for her to answer about Matrix.
"Uh. No reason, just wondering. You've just known him an awfully long time," he shrugged. Sure, he'd known Azazel his whole life, but that was different. The beaked Breaker belonged to his mother. Eh.
"Sandwich!" he said suddenly, stopping infront of the shop. Ta daaa. I'm totally getting a sandwich for lunch. x3 *random*
--
Azazel lifted his head and stared at Matrix, watching his eyes flash colors. Why do your eyes do that? the Breaker asked, sitting up and pointing at the Fuhrer. He decided not to chew Matrix out for being stupid. At least not yet.
Not really. Vince shrugged. He'd forgotten where he was going with the conversation, so he didn't think anything more of it. He clopmed over towards Rebound, waving with his tail for Phantom to follow. The Brave Jaggy giggled in his sleep as Vince climbed up onto his head and sat down, waiting for Phantom.
Emily Cirano - November 19, 2007 06:44 PM (GMT)
"Well...yeah. He's only been taking care of me ever since I left home," Emily said, albeit with a very small smile. "I guess it's his way of returning the favor of being saved from the scrap heap..."
Jake's sudden announcement made her jump and squeak, clutching at his arm for a moment before heaving a sigh. "Could you...not do that, please? I'm kinda jumpy today >.<"
--
Matrix blinked at him, black eyes flashing some random color for a moment. My eyes do what?
~Oh. Alright then...~ Shrugging, Phantom extended her wings and flapped her way over to sit on Rebound's head, before craning her neck around to snort smoke at Azzy. ~He dunno his eyes flash color, shuuuush.~
Timber Okami - November 19, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
Jake quietly listened, realizing how little he actually knew about Emily. Mental note: Gotta fix that. How he was going to fix that was the hard part, but he'd worry about that later. Assuming there was a later.
He shook that out of his mind and jumped when she did, looking around as if some nasty Matrix Dragon or Maxis was going to jump out and attack them. "Sorry. D: I didn't even think about that. I'm kinda jumpy too..."
Coughing slightly, he tugged on her arm very gently, "C'mon,"
--
Azzy put his arm down and stared at Matrix. He was about to explain what he was talking about when Phantom told him otherwise.
Well why the hell not? he rumbled, ruffling his various ruffle-able bits. Vince tilted his head curiously, looking over at Matrix. He'd never noticed that before.
Emily Cirano - November 20, 2007 06:54 PM (GMT)
Getting over her mild shock, Emily gave a little laugh. Oh, this was just great, the pair of them jumping at everything. At this rate, she was going to go nuts. "Our lives need a little less stress, it seems,"
And she did allow herself to get tugged into the building. Lol.
--
Matrix's eyes were a bright stoplight yellow with curiousity as he stared up and down at Phantom and Azazel. The dragon organoid flicked her tail at him, chirring.
~Have you ever seen a Zoid - sized mirror, Azazel?~ She asked, stretching out one wing and starting to groom it like a cat. ~And he can't see what his own eye color is by himself.~
Timber Okami - November 20, 2007 07:22 PM (GMT)
"Yea, no kidding. And less scary people with claws," he mumbled the last bit, but since Emily was right next to him, she probabily caught it anyways.
But anyways, sandwiches! Now, this place has sandwiches. o.o Like, everything possible ever. Jake glanced sideways at Emily, then proceded to get the sandwish he always got while she was deciding or whatever.
And I have nothing more interesting to say here because this kinda stuff is boring. They need to talk about something else interesting now please.
--
The black beaked Zoid was quiet, staring blankly at Matrix and his stoplightyellow eyes. Finally, he slowly looked down at Phantom.
...and nobody has ever told him? he asked dubiously. Unlike the writer here, he has no idea about anything.
Vince was watching Matrix with curiosity too, resisting the urge to go poke Matrix's eye. 'cause, yea, that would end badly.
Azazel frowned but dropped the issue for the most part, instead settling down to talk with the Organoids. So, how are things? he asked, resting his head on a claw and leaning in.
Emily Cirano - November 20, 2007 07:50 PM (GMT)
I USE MY MAGIC GILVYRAPTOR POWERS TO BEND TIME. And speed the boringness up a bit. >.< So they have food and stuff now, lol.
"Phantom's gonna regret not sticking around," Emily observed idly before munching on her sandwich. Roast beef, yum. <3 "She'd be totally mooching by now if she had."
--
~It's in our best interests if you don't tell him,~ Phantom growled, pausing in her wing grooming to fold one away and whip out the other one. Matrix whuffed and growled, eyes flickering into orange.
Tell me what? D:
~That you're an empty - headed idiot.~
Matrix snarled while Phantom fell on her back laughing.
Quiet, Chidori offered, flicking the end of her pointy tail. The Fury grunted, giving his armor another ruffle.
Not bad. Mark and Karen moved in part time or something, and now we have Hermes in the hangar. I want to kill him but they say I can't. >.<
Timber Okami - November 20, 2007 07:59 PM (GMT)
What a wonderfull bending of time, thar. :P
"You know, I didn't know that Organoids even like... ate anything," Jake pointed out as he ate his sandwish. BLT, yo. He paused, thinking for a second, "I mean, Vince hasn't except for that one time that Phantom gave him a cookie. And well... Steely does but I think she's a bit of a special case as far as Organoids go,"
Nom, nom, nom. "Then again, I didn't know that Organoids could teleport," shrug.
--
Azazel simply took Phantom's word for it and shrugged, but chuckled as the silver Organoid fell over laughing.
Well, it's true. There isn't anyone in your head right now. he pointed out.
Aw, you guys be nice to him. >: the silver woof poofed onto his head and proceded to give it a hug as best she could.
Ah, that Gunblaster. He's a bit annoying, yes. >.< the Breaker huffed, ruffling his axes. Is Volt there? Get him to sit on Hermes, he suggested, chuckling.
Emily Cirano - November 20, 2007 08:20 PM (GMT)
I know, isn't it? :P I'm so tired now. -falls ovar-
"She probably doesn't have to, but she does anyway," Emily shrugged in between bites. "As far as organoid diets are concerned, I just try and stay out of it. Unless she's eating me right out of my house..."
And I, for the record, like T - bone steaks so rare they're still moving.
Eyes widening ever so slightly, Emily froze and practically dropped her sandwich when a voice sounded right inside her skull. Afer waiting a few seconds to see if she got any more Messages From Beyond, she took a breath and went back to eating.
Even though that was...weird.
"You apparently need to meet more organoids. They can do a lot of weird things..."
--
Matrix opened his mouth in some retort or another when Steelz appeared and hugged his face, lol.
Yes, he's annoying. >.< Volt isn't there all the time, but Lady gets Mach and Holiday to pin him down while she buries him in sand. That helps, kinda.
Except then he screeches for people to dig him out, Chidori growled, looking over the edge of her tail at the other saurians. Matrix grunted.
We should get her to remove his vocal chords.
...if he has any.
Timber Okami - November 20, 2007 08:32 PM (GMT)
Pfft. *pokes with a stick*
"It's still odd. I mean, where does it go? Vince has his acid..." he stopped and froze too when she did. "What?" he asked.
Thinking for a second about weird things Organoids do, he chuckled. "...Steely has the tendancy to steal my house keys and levitate them. I have no idea how she does it," he frowned, thinking for a second. Whatever weird comic book thought he got he shook out and kept eating.
"Apparantly. Hopefully some friendly ones, not like some of the ones I've met so far," he didn't say who he was thinking of, but she should be able to figure it out. Having your pants set on fire and being snarled at kinda sucked.
--
The Woofanoid wagged her tail and kept perching on Matrix's head, just so long as he didn't toss her off. He didn't seem to mind. :D
Just chop off his head, Azazel suggested. Vince snorted up at the Zoid.
Always suggest. Vince seemed to tease, grinning up at the Zoid. Azazel snorted.
Not my fault I suggest something that always works. >.>
Rebound again giggled in his sleep, shifting around slightly.
Emily Cirano - November 21, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
"I dunno. I'll bet she makes it into flamethrower fuel or something." Taking a bite of her sandwich, Emily mused on the message from beyond and then shoved it into the back of her mind. Just another weird thing in the string of weird things lately. "'s nothing. Just thought I heard something."
She chuckled on hearing of Jake's stolen key plight. "Aw. The only thing that steals my keys is Meera. Little pest took those, my cellphone, and my USB key and hid them under the couch. It took me ages to fish it all back out. >.<"
...ahaha, he's still sore about Axis. Lawl.
And oh snap, there was that voice again. Without trying to be completely obvious, Emily gazed around the nearby area, attempting to spot whatever was speaking in her head.
"Oh, don't worry. Even I've had my pants set on fire by him." A pause. "Well, it was just a little hole in my pantleg, but still."
--
I want to. >.< I would've scissored it off by now, but nooo. He must be useful for SOMETHING, so he gets to live. Lucky Republican head case, Matrix snarled, drumming his talons on the floor and allowing his eyes to flash a quick angry red.
Timber Okami - November 23, 2007 02:22 AM (GMT)
"That'd make sence," he paused, eyeing her for a second. He didn't really beleive that it was nothing, but he didn't push.
She's not tellin' you soooomethin'.
'Stop talking please.' D:
He coughed and tried not to act like he was talking to an Evil Thing inside his head. "She gives them back eventually. It's not like I need them right now anyways, but still,"
Luckily, he was too busy thinking to notice her look around. Haha. "...eh," apparantly he's still really sore, yes.
--
Usefull for dangerous walls of spam, obviously Steely tilted her head down at Matrix's nose while Azazel just stared at Matrix's color wheel eyes. Riiight.
Emily Cirano - November 23, 2007 02:58 AM (GMT)
..the both of you really need to hurry up and spill your guts already, sheesh. >.<
At this point, Emily really did drop her sandwich for about five seconds, fumbling to recover it before utterly staring at the air.
"...please tell me you heard that too. Or I'm going crazy and seriously need my head checked."
For the record, the both of you are nuts. But him more than you, really.
Somehow, the air gave off the impression of a very large bored yawn. With lots of shiny fangs.
And no. I'm not coming out into the open. I don't feel like it yet. :< Or your boyfriend is going to hurl me into the side of a building, and I don't feel like eating cement today.
--
I don't get why all the annoying Zoids have to be useful for dangerous walls of spam :< Matrix pouted, staring crosseyedly up at the woofanoid.
Timber Okami - November 23, 2007 03:04 AM (GMT)
I KNEW THAT. >.<
Jake paused and just... stared. Not in a wtf way but just... yea, he just stared blankly. Apparantly strange voices aren't... strange to him.
"Yes. I heard that."
Dude, you guys are both hearing the same voices. Can she hear me? Heeeeeey! :O
But alas, the voice was stuck in Jake's head.
"...if you go get your head checked, can I come?" D: he fidgeted for a second, "...wait, were you hearing this before?" he blinked. That made sence.
Pause.
Waaait a second.
"...I'm not going to hurl you into a building. I doubt I even could," D:
--
Because if you have more guns then a batallion of Command Wolves, you can sort of afford to be annoying. :P she wagged her tail down at Matrix, grinning brightly.
Emily Cirano - November 23, 2007 03:25 AM (GMT)
"...oh boy. Maybe this means I'm not crazy."
You're crazy.
"Wellgee, thanks." Pausing, Emily growled and made a face. Great, she was conversing with strange voices from the air. At least she wasn't the only one hearing it, at any rate.
"Yes, I was hearing this earlier," Sigh. Fidgeting slightly, the blonde looked about again, to no avail. "So. Are you a 'noid, Zoid, figment of the imagination or what?"
Another soundless yawn. Taaaaake a guess. This ain't too hard, dear. And then there was a sound like armor clanking and rustling. ...oh, trust me, boy. You could. Unfortunately.
--
Matrix gave a disgusted snort that suggested both his opinion on a battalion of Command Wolves and Hermes. It doesn't change the fact that he's still a stupid git.
Timber Okami - November 23, 2007 06:44 PM (GMT)
"...I'm starting to wonder if Ari was right. >.<" He sighed, glancing around too. Well, there was nothing out of the ordinary around. Hm, then again, that didn't mean anything.
"I'd bet money that you're not as crazy as I am," he said offhandedly. After a second of thinking, he glanced at the ceiling, "Organoid. Steely did something similar when I met her,"
Aw, I want other peope to be able to hear me. D: You're not fun to mess with anymore, you just ignore me,
And Jake ignored him, lol.
"Noo, I'm prety sure I couldn't. D:"
And he's arguing with a Voice From Beyond, lol.
--
I know it doesn't, but I'm just saying. :P she stretched out on Matrix's head, stretching all six wings out to their fullest. Hm, this is boring. >.>
Emily Cirano - November 23, 2007 11:34 PM (GMT)
"No, this is just me. You're not the only magnet for weird things around here. >.>;"
Ain't that the absolute truth. A pause, during which it sounded like something very heavy had just touched down on something metal. Ha, someone with brains! Yes, I am a 'noid. :D Fear me.
"I'd fear you if I could see you," Emily grumbled, glaring at the ceiling and the offending voice.
Ahaha. You would, too. :P
How incredibly Not Helpful here. :<
--
Matrix grunted, reaching up with a claw to scratch his nose, his eyes having long since gone back to deep and inky black. ...so. Anything happening, Phantom?
~Eh? Oh, I dunno,~ the organoid shrugged, cocking her head and apparently thinking, or something along those lines. ~Em feels a bit tense, but I can't tell why.~
It's probably because I'm here.
~Yes, it's probably because you're - HOLY CRAP!~
Phantom squalled and fell off Rebound's head to land splat on the floor. Snorting, Rosie stared down after her, enormous head sniffing curiously at the tiny silver dragon. Hello to you too.
Matrix rose up to let out a roar but stopped when his jaws were clamped shut. Staring at him, Rosie tossed her head and the Fury thudded back down to the ground with a confused grunt.
Oh, come, you should be used to this. I'm telekinetic, too. >.<
--
...and while snarkvoice was being quiet, Emily suddenly winced. "I have the feeling Phantom just went splat on the floor, but I don't know why. D:"
