"A great deal of questioning about your role in life, your philosophical assumptions, and your overall purpose in life arise now. You become acutely aware of the way in which your parents have influenced your life, and how your own lack of self-confidence or fears have affected your decisions."

Oh wow, for a horoscope it sure hit today on the head of the nail.

I'll be honest, I don't really believe in this horoscope stuff. Like Davis said one day I was talking to him about it, too many people are born on the same day, we all wouldn't have the same thing happen to us on that day.

So over the past month or two I decided to subscribe to a horoscope things and hold an experiment due to severe boredom and waiting for snow to fall so I can race down hills and possibly break something. I will go through my day and see what happens and then see if this horoscope will relate to my day in some way, but it has to be obvious.

It's true, it's not accurate to everyday, but the odd time that it is accurate, it's on the fucking dot. It's kind of creepy...

The reason why this one was so accurate today was because of an incident in my film studies class. Dylan and I made a film that didn't make it into the film festival at our school. I know, "It's a school film festival why do you care?" The main reason is because this was one of those rare occasions where I attempted my damnedest and put my heart and soul into it because I had built up enough confidence in myself to do so. When something you put so much work into is suddenly swept out from under your feet, it hurts. And yes I know I have to deal with it and that's what I'm trying to do.

Anyways, It really did make me question what I want to do in life. I was considering possibly going into film, but after this incident (minute, but hurtful in my eyes) I'm not too sure.

So I get home and I told my mom. Surprisingly enough, she gave me some really good advice. It was basically along the lines of "you have to have confidence in yourself before you can be happy and you have to learn to deal with these situations."

She then went on to say that she was scared for me and she's trying to help. In this case, she did. Her words of wisdom really did help and it made me realize that my mom really does influence my life. I mean, yeah she pisses me off sometimes, but she keeps me sane.

So when I read the horoscope for today it was freakishly on the dot for me. Kind of weird how my shitty day was predicted... but oh well, i did it for lulz.

Have you ever gotten super depressed, felt like the world was ending, wishing you knew what to do, finally came to a resolution, made an action and instantly realize that the whole thing didn't really matter all that much and that your action is there, simply waiting to be noticed by somebody?

That's what's gonna happen if you give up on your dream of becoming a film artist or what have you. In a couple of days to a week you'll realize how little that school film festival really meant. There have been plenty of authors, painters, filmographers, draughtsmen, architects, generals, who have met deafening hardships at first but nevertheless came out on top.

Then again, there have been those who met deafening hardships and fell into a sniveling mass of quivering depression, a wreck of a human being, never again to rise about the ambiguity of human delinquency with their art again. they got real job and died unhappy.

The choice is yours. Read a horoscope, find it addressing you're reality, find yourself consuming it and not living by a way you invented, or go bollocks up.

singed,

This explains much now, but don't let this shit overtake how you normally act.

sure, we didn't get into the film festival, but it doesn't really matter. it'd probably just end up as a needless feather in our respective caps had we made it into the festival.

in other words: it doesn't matter, get over it.

yes, you put a lot of effort into the film, but shit hardly ever goes as planned. i knew when we finished editing, that no matter how awesome i thought it was, we'd still have a hard time getting into the festival, if at all.

so quit acting the way the horoscope tells you you're acting, and drop the subscription already!

I found out the reason why my teacher didn't accept our film into the film festival. And I gotta say, I'm pretty damn proud. According to him, it was disturbing. I see this as a triumph, so I'm making a note here:

HUGE SUCCESS
