Welcome to From the Elements! We are a new fantasy site set in an alternate world. In this world, humans have control over one the four elements and live according to those divisions as well. However, with four small worlds that are so remarkably different, this world stands on the brink of a great war. Will you cause peace or chaos?

The Royal City
Caminus, the Royal City of the Volcanic Islands, is actually the smallest city on the three islands, though it has the largest wall. This city sits upon a large hill just south of the largest volcano of the original six and has the strongest guard in the nation, so be sure to watch your wandering hands after you come through the gate.

The Six Cities
Other than the Royal City which sits upon a hill, every city on these islands sits at the base of a volcano. Thankfully the volcanos are dormit, but what a perfect place fro fire pushers to live. Watch that you don't upset the guards, they tend to be hot headed.

The Giant Forests
Few of these forests are scattered across the surface of the islands, though they are still hard to miss. These forests are made of giant vegetation and animals to match. They are no place for a lone traveler.

The Lost Plains
Between the cities on the islands are not nice travel pathways or inns along the way, but massive expanses of ash upon ash. In order to get from city to city on one island without taking a boat around, travelers must venture here. Be warned, little water exists outside the cities and ash predators are terrible creatures that are quick and awfully hungry.

The Beaches
The beaches of all three islands both are covered in dark volcanic sand that sticks to your toes and seems to eat your feet if you stand in one place for too long. At every shore there are ports varying in sizes that will happily give you a ride over to another island or to Terra. There are even small ports that house people gliders to take anyone to the giant Flying City above the islands...for a price.

The Floating Cities
All across the Twelve Seas are floating cities that are made to do so by Water Pushers doing their daily job. Here you can find various markets, inns, shops, and so much more. Be warned though, the Water Pushers run the only port in a city and it is near impossible to leave without them, so be nice.

In the middle of the water are these small islands upon which villages and towns have been built. Usually it is a large extended family who lives here, so be cautious just who you insult.

The Snow Caps
Cold and inhabited by the cruelest of Water Pushers, the snow caps have no real law and follow none from other places in the world. Be ready to defend yourself and make sure you are dressed warmly in case you are unable to find the small villages that are spotted across the snow. Only the most desperate of travelers come here.

The Moving Island
On the back of a large legendary creature sits the royal city, home of the Water Queen and King. A nearly impossible place to find unless you are remarkably lucky or unless the King and Queen are looking for you.

The big city can be an exciting yet overwhelming place to be. People from all over come to the big cities that are scattered across Terra to trade goods and services, run away from home, start a new life, or even just have a weekend adventure. The Small Town
Off to the side of the traveler's roads and paths lie small towns with the most gentle, yet wary, of people. Here you will get much more for your coin at the local family run inn or at the local market.

The beaches of Terra are a constant battle ground between the Earth Pushers and the Water Pushers, though you might be able to find a nice spot of white sand to sit and enjoy toe suns if you are lucky.

Outside the small towns and big cities of Terra are regions of the wild. In these very extreme places you will find the occasional village, but all the great populated places tend to be in more calm areas of Terra.

The Official Chambers
Here are the large official chambers of the Queen and her counsel. They are often opened to the public with tour guides and were one of the first permanent buildings in the Flying City. Also held here are trials and requests of the Queen. Below the largest chamber are the private living quarters of the counsel and their Queen.

The City Square
In the very center of the city is a large public square surrounded by shops and inns galore. At one corner of the square is a giant whole that reaches down through the entire city where the people gliders come trough. With all the people coming and going from the city, this is the busiest area, just make sure you watch your pockets.

Underground
Below the city surface are a series of tunnels that connect the lower level of shops, homes, inns, and markets. These tunnels and places within them are usually darker, lit by small torches along the way, and are accessible at various points in the city. Make sure you watch your back down here, for some unsavory characters lurk in the darkness under the watchful eye of their mayor.
