Sariah Alcett was an extraordinary woman, in more ways than one. Not only was she an incredibly talented businesswoman, an excellent athlete, and a good mother, she was also telepathic. When her child began high school, Sariah decided that she would create a special school for teenagers like her son: a school for teenagers with abilities similar to her own, where they could be educated and taught to control their unique gifts. This school became Alcett Institute for Gifted Teenagers.
Located in a secluded region of mountains, the only civilization near to the school is a small village nearby. Most of the inhabitants of the village know of the school, many are on the staff payroll. They help keep the school hidden by discouraging curious tourists from hiking on the nearby slopes. Most of those who pay no heed to the locals’ warnings, however, are never the same again.
Often they find the school: a large building, castle-like in some parts, newer in others, surrounded by a forest, various lawns and a lake. Often they see strange lights coming from windows, a moving shadow, or a fire bursting spontaneously into life on the lawn. Maybe a teenager will appear from nowhere, or vanish from sight for no particular reason. Often people who venture into the forest are never seen again, save for a brief glimpse as they run through the shadows, lips rosy with the blood of others.
As soon as you discover your gift, you will be contacted by the current Head of the school. Normally it’s a phone call or letter, sometimes accompanied by a visit from a member of Staff. If you chose to take up your position at Alcett Institute, you will be pushed into the deep end of a world where nothing is impossible if you’ve got the right friends.
