I think that happens alot. Pokemon cards are the first area of pokemon I 'grew out' of. The main games and cards are more for teenagers (if you play the card game) and the anime and toys are for the under 12s I would say.

Yep I would say exactly the same myself, Pokemon is good but the TCG is for younger kids I would say, Or some Pokemon obsessed teenagers still play it.

Collectors tend to be under 12 and players over 12. But the cards are mainly what make pokemon 'geeky' in the opinion of closed minded people.

I tried once and was over the moon when I beat my cousin. I got wooped by a pro though.

From now I just flick through my old card album at times. I have actually got some pretty good cards. My favourite is my holographic Rocket's Scyther. =]

I'm a collector. I know the rules but I don't like some of the new cards. I still have a Mint Condition Ancient Mew and other Pokémon Movie: Mew vs Mewtwo cards.
