Preface

People think that their world is it. Other worlds, other places, they simply don't exist out there. There's simply one world in the universe, and that one world is the only place to have any living beings upon it. The rest of the universe is bleak, a vast nothingness where not even the simplest life forms exist. there is one world.

It just happens to exist on several dimensions.

Different dimensions overlap one, existing simultaneously around one world. Everyone has their own world, their own place of existing. These worlds exist mostly ignorant of one another, unaware that different variations exist just out of reach. That only the thinnest of barriers prevents you from sliding from this world into another one.

Except sometimes, the worlds fold. Rifts in the dimensions appear, letting thinking organisms slide through. It can't be controlled, and most worlds are almost unaware of it. But those that Folded, these creatures, beings of a multi-verse, find themselves sliding from their own world into a different one. A strange place, different from their world while still oddly similar. Our world. Earth.

From the offices of R&R

Okay, the spooky, ominous, weird part's over. let's get down to the serious bit. If you're looking at this guide, congratulations, you made it and you're not insane. Seriously, this is an accomplishment in itself, so don't sell yourself short. You might have gotten lucky enough to be found by the Knights or the Offices of R&R, but let's face it, you probably did well on your own.

See, you're not in your home anymore. Your world? that little bit you thought you know? It's not here. This is Earth. It's a strange place filled with cars and television and freakish shows and no magic and stuff. But this is the Hub, the Prime, the whatever you feel like calling it. Whenever someone stumbles from another dimension they wind up here. To be more specific, they wind up in Folder's Point.

The Point, as we like to call it, is a small community somewhere in the middle of America. the town kinda just grew around here because this is where people showed up. Once the first few hundred people "Folded" here, they figured they should probably do something about it. The Offices came first and the town followed.

So you're new. Welcome to either Heaven, Hell, or just Wonderland, depending on where you came from. But things are different here. Because all sorts of people, and that's a loose term here, live at the Point. And we're all supposed to get along and play happy and nice with each other. Because that always works. So, yeah, welcome to the Point. We'll help you; that's what we're here for.

But you aren't home anymore. And you're not going back. But hey, this is cool, right? New world filled with endless possibilities and creatures that you couldn't think up in your wildest imagination. Hey, at least we set you up with a place to live, some possessions, and the instant translator. All you have to do is figure out your place here, and hope that things don't turn on their head.

They will.

It wouldn't be fun otherwise, would it?

So, yeah, welcome to Folder's Point, where everything is folded. Hope you adjust.

Important Information

• The Rules Some basic, let's get along stuff.
  
• The detailed guide. Don't worry, it's not all important. Just skim the articles and stuff; nobody but lawyers cares about that.
  
• Application. Please register with your character's name. We can change it for you if needed. Just ask staff. Then post an application in the New arrivals board.
  
• Home world's directory. It's not necessary to read them all. Just be aware of the list if you're curious about the existing worlds.
  
• Who is who? Just remember to tell us your name and which characters you play, or update if you make a new one.
  
• PB list. Just to make sure the Play by you want isn't taken.

Once you're registered, you have to wait for acceptance no longer than a day or two. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask staff.
