The fresh sea breeze was one of such pleasure and freedom. Shivers ran down the back of the elegant girl sat with her feet hanging over the edge of the quay, black heeled sandals sat neatly by her hips and toes making ripples in the cool sea waters. The sea was rather clear around Tortuga, which surprised many people when they saw the normal everyday activity... even if they didn't want to.
Layla flicked a strand of golden curl out of her bright face and allowed the water to reflect in her brilliant sky blue eyes as they gazed over the swells and dips of the ocean. Leaning on her right hand, she rested her left arm on a wooden pillar holding the long line of planks up above the sea at the end. Sighing to herself, Layla watched as a few ships sailed in and out of the ports and docks around her.
A small frown crossed her brow as an odd looking vessel appeared and began to slowly make it's way to the empty and still world of Tortuga during the daylight aside from the peasants who could not afford to get waisted legless every night or had real lives to live. Swaying her legs backward and forward, her pale brown dress, ankle length, billowed at the hemm and the straps for sleeves found their way to half way down her shoulders. Her blue eyes followed the ship and she wandered if she should stand, but knew that if she did, she would not be able to return to her comfortable position she was in at that moment.

Elizabeth had left will at the tavern and decided she would walk around tortuga. After convincing will she would be fine she took off and started her walk. She ended up at the docks and walked near the girl but at first said nothing she stared out to sea and sighed. Taking in the scene infront of her. She realized the girl was there " oh im sorry i hope im not intruding"

Layla looked over her shoulder at the source of the voice that had sounded behind her and smirked a smile. Turning back to the ripples and hills of salt water she said, "Why would you be interupting anything Captain Turner?" with a raised thin eyebrow, blonde curls picking up in the winds that swelled with the tides and made the clouds float across the sea of air around and above them. Taking her gaze from the odd ship, Layla shifted closer to the pillar and turned a little, lifting one foot out of the water and laying it with a bent knee in front of her.
"What bring you here Captain Elizabeth Turner?" she asked with a small tilt of the head and flutter of eyelashes as a bug had decided to fly straight into the skin just under one eye. Layla wafted the bug away with her hand, fingers lossly spread and rested it on her curled knee again but had to raise it above her brow as the sun was in her eyes making them seem bright gray or even silver.

"I am Layla Storm... some ad Bringer to the end of it, but that's my... companions." she said slowly at the end as companions were not exactly the word for people she flirted then fought with after getting what she wanted from them, as well as people she travelled with of course. She pushed her hair out of her eyes and held it up with her fingers running through it with gaps between them to hold small clumps. Her eyes wandered over the Captain... a rare sort of captain; it was not often you had females as captains of pure pirate ships.
She smirked a small smile at the mention of her husband who was, in fact, rather good looking... but taken. He was also a little old for her and would have so many duties as captain, it would be a good idea to have a captain as a wife... she would have the same amount of trouble and time to see you. Anyway... turning a little more toward Elizabeth, Layla gazed up at the nearest tavern which was quite a way away and scowled as it was hers. She was supposed to be working that day but could not be bothered to and so had slipped out.

"Oh, " she said and walked closer in silence and sighed she was glad to be away from home but she missed her son. She had yet to tell william about him and kept holding it off and didnt even know why.

"Something troubling you Captain?" Layla asked over her shoulder as Elizabeth walked a little closer. Her blue eyes had returned to the blue of the sea beneith her feet which were now both back in the cool waters. The reflection of the two of them was rippled and warped, but you knew which was which by the colours and heights. Relaxing with her elbow once again on the pillar next to her and the other on the wooden planks under her hips.
Layla gestured for the captain to sit next to her before returning her gaze to the odd ship and then the clouds that seemed to stop the sea from falling from the edge of the world... which they did, sort of. She tilted her head and a small smile crossed her lips as she imagined what World's End was like, blond curls falling around her cheeks and shoulders.

Layla nodded slowly and looked down at her feet again after looking at Elizabeth while she was talking out of politeness. She brushed her curls back around her face to cover the sun and shuffled over a little for Captain Turner to have some room, moving her black heeled sandals as well. As nothing more was said, Layla began to wander what she was hiding from her husband but knew it would be too personal for her to ask.
Swaying her feet, her dress billowed again and the docks creaked in the slightest protest. The sea washed against the pillars of the dock and the toes of Layla's elegantly pointed feet.

-from {finding a fool} Barbossa joined the two women. "It seems as though it's just us three here." He said. Something seems to be troubling you both."

Layla's silvery blue gaze shot from Elizabeth and the sea to the new figure whom obviously knew Captain Turner. "Hello... I'm Layla." she spoke in a polite and casual, but slightly bored and unamused, tone of voice as she nodded in greeting to Captain Barbossa. "Wait... are you... Captain Barbossa?" she asked, becoming a little more enthusiastic. So many famous pirates appearing in Tortuga. Layla had waited years for simply one of them, but then they all appear at the same time!?
Pushing her blond curls over her ear, she looked up at the other Captain with one hand daintily covering the sunlight once again. One knee was now resting on the quay while the other continued to hang as Layla had twisted herself to see Barbossa properly.

Barbossa quietly walked to a large rock which he sat on. He said, "I am indeed Captain Hector James Barbossa. I can see Jack got the Pearl back from the Isla de Muerta."

"I am indeed Captain Hector James Barbossa. I can see Jack got the Pearl back from the Isla de Muerta."
"It's a pleasure..." she muttered with a little harshness to her voice but knew that since he was a famous and begrudging Pirate Captain... he would not know every manner around.
"I should think so... he seems rather adventurous, or is he always picking fights?" she leaned back on her hands and peered up at Captain Barbossa.

"With me and others." Barbossa said chiefly. A pirate came from the above decks and whispered something in Barbossa's ear. Barbossa replied harshly, "No! They are to wait for me at the inn."

"Would that be the Inn in which I work... just over there?" Layla elegantly turned and pointed a thin finger toward her workplace which she dreaded and hated with all life in her curvy teenage body. His hair flew around her face as she gentle sea breeze pushed it forward and her piercing blue eyes shone with a fire toward her house of work before turning back to Barbossa and looking up at him in a near flirting fashion.
