The sun shined down on the two of them as the motorcycle rolled across the pavement below them. There weren't many people around. Rayne gripped the handles of the bike before braking and pulling off the side of the road.
As the motorcycle came to a stop, Rayne sat up straight before taking off her helmet. She looked around before getting to her feet. She placed the helmet on the seat of the motorcycle and looked at Scott. "This is it right?" She asked as she took the key from the bike and placed them in her pocket.
She had left her handgun at home to avoid distraction. Her sais were criss crossed in their sheaths across her back but were hidden under her nap sac. Rayne tightened her pony before looking back at Scott.

| QUOTE | | "This is it right?" |
"Yep" Scott responded as he go off the bike. He didn't have a helmet on, because well he didn't have one and he didn't like them. He had his Glock with him, he knew protocol called for the civilians to be unarmed, but a fellow Marine? He was sure they would make an exception. Walking up to the building, Scott nodded to one of the Marines standing guard outside the cement wall perimeter.
"Sir, I'm going to have to check you for any weapons of any kind." One of the two Marines, a Lance Corporal, stated.
Scott pulled out his military ID and handed it to the man. Immediately the two Marines saluted and Scott returned the salute and said "At ease soldiers. You don;t have to check my friend do you Marine?"
"No sir." The Marine replied and stepped aside to let Scott and Rayne pass through the gate. "Charlie two, this is Charlie one. Be advised, Master Sergeant Scott Bruhn is on his way with a companion. Over." Scott heard the young man radio ahead.
Walking past several more Marines that were walking in planned paths to make sure the perimeter was secure and that it would stay that way, Scott nodded at them. Looking toward the building, Scott froze mid-step. A woman was walking out to meet them, by the looks of it and Scott recognized her. It was Gunnery Sergeant Miranda Wright.
"Hello Master Sergeant. Glad to see you've come back" She said as she got within range.
"Nice to see you too Gunny. Yes I've come back, but only for my stuff I don't wanna re-enlist. " Scott answered her.
"A shame, you were the best Marine I've or any of our CO's have seen." She said before motioning them to follow her.

Rayne's eyes widened slightly as she followed Scott to the men infront of the gates. She took a deep breath as she listened to Scott and the men. She noticed Scott lift up his ID and then ask if they had to check her. She was happy they didn't.
Following Scott inside, Rayne noticed a woman walking towards them from the building. Rayne narrowed her eyes slightly as she continued towards the woman at Scott's side. Who was she? Did Scott know her? Rayne looked over at Scott then back at the woman as they got closer.
She soon realized that Scott and the woman knew each other. Rayne pushed a few strands of hair behind her ears as she listened to the two of talk. They seemed to know each other pretty well.

Rayne lifted an eyebrow at what the woman had said. Her name she found out was something like Gunny. Gunny? Rayne thought before shaking the thought from her head. She followed Scott as Gunny motioned for them to follow.

Scott followed Miranda into the building that he once was stationed. He knew that she would stick with Scott and Rayne, just to make sure nothing happened. "So I see you still like the civilians," Miranda stated as they walked down a corridor.
She was the jealous type, as he had found out when he talked to a local civvie in a bar. The civilian was a beautiful red-head that could handle her liquor very, very well. She had kissed him on the cheek and invited him back to her place for the night. Then he walked up to the bar to get a couple more drinks for the road and turned around to see the red-head was put through a table and Miranda walking through the bar door. After that, no woman ever spoke to him when Miranda was around.
"Well, we're just friends," Scott responded, "by the way, put any women through tables lately?" Scott hoped Rayne had gathered the warning, he didn't want the same to happen to her. Well, he knew she would probably put Miranda through the table, but he still didn't want that to happen.
Miranda froze and turned to face Scott, "That was for your own good. That woman was a common whore." She looked at Rayne coldly before turning around and walked away.
Scott turned to Rayne, "Sorry bout her, it's a long story that's better saved for another time. But don't be surprised if she comes back with a couple Marines to arrest you for some bogus charge or if she tries to start a fight."

Rayne raised her eye brows slightly as she looked to her left. Oh, she thought as she ran her hands through her pony. She looked back over to the two with a slight smile. She didn't say anything to Scott's comment.
She looked over at Scott confused as he asked about Gunny putting a woman through tables. What? She asked herself but still said nothing. She kept the thought in mind though. Maybe it was a joke between the two.

"I'm on my guard," Rayne said as she lifted an eye brow. She gave Scott a wink before looking back at the woman. The woman seemed to have quite the relationship with Scott. Brother and sister relationship, or more.
Would she really start a fight? Rayne thought as she looked at the woman's back as she walked away. She wasn't about to ask Scott. She just continued to follow the two.

"Just don't hurt them," Scott said as he looked over his shoulder to make sure noone could hear them, "I only said we were friends so she wouldn't attack. I'll tell you the story later if you want. But if she found out about the kiss, we'd be surrounded by Marines. I say we, because I would stand between you and them for their protection, and to piss Miranda off. But anyway, sorry if I hurt you with that lie." Scott finished and pecked her on the cheek before turning around.
Scott walked down a hallway to a room that looked like it hadn't been opened for awhile. Pulling out the key from above the door. "Noone ever screws with my shit" Scott smiled to himself as he unlocked the door.
Flipping the lightswitch as he entered, Scott looked over to the locker located within the door. Walking up to it, he pounded the door with his right hand and it swung open. Reaching in, Scott withdrew his dog-tags and put them over his head and around his neck. The familiar weight of the tags felt good after being gone for so long. Looking in the locker, Scott saw his the only possession he truly cared about. Reaching in, Scott withdrew the metal weapon and looked it over with a degree of care. Ejecting the empty clip he put in to prevent moisture from getting into the barrel, Scott slung the weapon over his shoulder. Grabbing the footlocker that was sitting next to the locker, Scott proceeded to load it with the empty clips and extra ammo he had stored in the locker.
Scott walked over to a bed that was put in the farthest corner from the door and grabbed the two pairs of BDU's that were sitting on it. dusting them off, he placed them on top of the ammo and extra clips, then closed the lid and locked it with a lock that was in the locker. Grabbing the key, from the locker and picking up the footlocker, Scott entered the hall.

"I'm fine," Rayne said with a smile before getting pecked on the cheek. As Scott started walking again, Rayne followed. She looked over her shoulder just to make sure they weren't being followed.
Pushing the sleeves up of her burgundy zip up sweater, Rayne noticed Scott stop at a door. She stopped beside him and watched him enter. She didn't follow Scott right inside the room. She stopped inside the doorway and waited for Scott.
Rayne soon saw Scott pull out a weapon and load it. While he did so she looked around the room. When was the last time he was here? Rayne thought before noticing Scott get up.
"Alright, so where to now?" Rayne asked him as she noticed everything he had. "Do you need any help?"

| QUOTE | | Alright, so where to now? Do you need any help? |
"Really, wherever you want and no I don't need any help. Just wish I had meh pickup," Scott said as he looked at Rayne. He looked into her eyes and was once again lost. "Got everything?" A voice said, effectively breaking his gaze. Looking over, he saw Miranda standing there looking between him and Rayne.
"Yes, I do." Scott replied as he stepped toward her, "guess I'll see ya around."
Walking past Miranda, Scott started back the way they had came. Nodding to the few Marines as he went. So far no snags, everything was going perfect. That was until Miranda came up behind him and turned him around. He looked at Rayne with a "get ready to run" look on his face as he set down the footlocker. Miranda turned his head to face her and she leant and kissed him. Then he heard the familiar sound of handcuffs locking in place and felt a small tug on his right hand. Looking down, he had to smile and laugh her attempt to keep him here. Acting quickly, he un-holstered his Glock with his left hand and put the barrel up to the chain connecting the two sides of the cuffs and pulled the trigger. His action surprised Miranda enough for him to grab his footlocker and put it one of his shoulders and run. It wasn't bad enough that he knew Miranda would be chasing him throughout the building and grounds, but the siren went off and he heard the sound of numerous boots slapping the tile floor. Putting his Glock in his pocket, Scott grabbed Rayne's hand to make sure she wouldn't fall behind.
Rounding a corner, he stopped at the sight of ten Marines with their rifles pointed at him. "Sir get out of the way!" A Marine shouted at him. He nodded and dragged Rayne to the side and passed the Marines as they aimed down the hall they had just came from. Seeing the main doors ahead of them, Scott looked at Rayne and told her. "If they let us through the gates, be ready to be tossed over the wall. They're only seven foot high and most of the areas don't have any barbed wire."

Her eyes gazed at Gunny and then Scott. She lifted a brow but said nothing. She knew how to stay in character. That is what her job as an agent was and Scott told the woman they were just friends. Rayne looked away before seeing sudden movement come from the two. She soon felt Scott grab her hand and they were then running.

Most? Rayne thought. Most don't have barbed wire? She looked at Scott. "Alright then," she said hoping he knew was he was doing. She looked behind. What were those men shooting at? She thought. If it wasn't Scott and her, then who?
Rayne looked forward again. She followed Scott's actions. This was his mission. He was the leader. What she would do would most likely only benefit her. She took a deep breath as they raced towards the front gates. Would they make it through?

They were approaching the front gate quickly and the two Marines guarding the gate looked back in and started to open it at the sight of Scott and Rayne approaching. "Sir, what's going on in there?" The Lance Corporal shouted out.
"There was a gunsh-" Scott was interrupted by the Lance Corporal's radio. "Charlie two, this is Gunnery Sergeant Miranda Wright. Stop the Master Sergeant. Authorization to use whatever force you deem necessary to detain him."
"Fuck," Scott breathed as the two Marines aimed their weapons at him. Quickly he pulled out his Glock and shot the ground at the Lance Corporal's feet, sending the Marines back behind the cement wall and gate. Spotting one of the areas that didn't have the barbed wire over the cement, Scott brought Rayne over to it and prepared to boost her over.
"Charlie two to Charlie actual. We are under fire, request immediate reinforcements. Over"
"Roger Charlie two, reinforcements are on their way. over and out"
Scott shouldered his rifle, ready to scramble any Marines that came out of the building.
