| QUOTE | | Why would I try that with you? I mean you could seriously wipe my face across your entire apartment with ease. Besides I could never hurt you intentionally. Because well, |
Rayne didn't know what Scott was about to say but she was happy that he wasn't going to try anything on her like he did to Miranda. If she had heard any other guy say the same thing she would probably not believe them but she trusted Scott so easily for some reason.
| QUOTE | | Rayne I think I love you. |
Rayne's eyes widened but not enough to notice. Was he serious? Did he truely mean what he said. We have known each other for less then a week, she thought as she looked into his eyes. Does he mean it?
But what did Rayne feel? She wasn't one to get into relationships. She never had any time. Was she in one? Rayne remembered the kiss from the night before. Their first. Rayne smirked as she thought of how they met.
She trusted Scott. She knew that. She cared for him. Did she love him? Rayne took a deep breath as she continued to look into Scott's eyes. "I think I may love you too,"

Scott smiled hugged Rayne very briefly. This was the first person he had actually felt anything for and it was kinda sad in his eyes. Usually a person finds at least one person they care about, but not this late in life.
"27 years old and I'm just finding someone I care about. That's just sad." Scott voiced his thoughts. He had spent almost his entire life running and he was tired of it.
So he was on the bad side of a global superpower, big deal. At least he found someone to care for besides himself. Even if that person looked like she just graduated high school. Speaking of which, he didn't even know how old she was and if he did he couldn't remember right off hand.
"So how old are you?" He asked.

| QUOTE | | So how old are you? |
"How rude," Rayne joked before looking down at her hands. She was happy that there wasn't a lot of years between the two of them. Although she me not have looked it she was only two years younger than Scott. She didn't feel that old though. She only began working with the agency at the age of eighteen and it had already been seven years later.
Lowering her eyes, she thought about when she had joined the agency. She was very independant and so was another girl. They were the same age. The youngest of the agents. She hadn't seen Gabbi since the incident in Raccoon City.
Rayne looked back up at Scott. "I am twenty five, if you must know," she said with a smile before she leaned back against the back of the couch.

Scott smiled as she joked around a little bit. It was kind of rude, but he was genuinely curious. And to think the first time you met her, you shot at her. Scott had to hold back the laughter that was threatening to burst out as he thought this. He shot at her, he helped her, she saved his life, he asked her out, and now they were sitting on her couch talking. Not exactly the most romantic thing, but eh what was he going to do about it? Nothing. There was nothing he could do to change the past and he didn't want to.
| QUOTE | | "I am twenty five, if you must know, |
"WWHHHAAAA?!" Scott asked shocked. She seriously didn't look the age. Trying to think of something else to say, he couldn't come up with anything. "So any other questions? Cause my mind's drawing a blank as to what to say."

Rayne smiled as she looked back down at her hands. She was a little surprised at his reaction but wasn't offended. She looked back up at Scott. He seemed quite surprised. Rayne pushed a few strands of hair behind her shoulder as she crossed her right leg over her left.

"Yeah, I have another one," Rayne started before continuing. "How old did you think I was?" She lifted an eye brow as she waited for his reply. Did he think she was older? Younger? How old did he think she was?
She was having a really good time with Scott. She didn't expect to be there on her couch days ago when they first met. She remembered how annoyed she was when he shot at her. Rayne then remembered the two men that were with them that night. What happened to them?

| QUOTE | | How old did you think I was? |
"Well judging by your features, I would have originally thought around 19 or 20. But that blew my mind." Scott said.
Scott sat there feeling something that wasn't real. Comfort. It was a state of mind that tricked the normal person into thinking they were safe. The only branch of the Armed Forces that taught that was Marines. Shaking his head a little, he had to forget about all aspects of his training that did not have anything to do with combat. In fact he might as well forget about his past all together. It was dark and depressing, many nights he had sat somewhere with his Glock loaded under his chin. The depression and loneliness has caused him to hit rock bottom a long time ago.
Shaking his head again, Scott looked at Rayne and smiled. Hopefully he would be able to start anew. Leaning over to her, Scott continued to smile as he whispered "Is that a problem?" Then he kissed her with all the passion he felt for her.

"Not at all," Rayne said as she pulled her head back after kissing Scott back. She was happy to hear she looked younger than she actually was. Better that than looking older, she thought as she got to her feet.
She didn't know what to say. If I love him do I still make him sleep on the couch? Rayne thought. She had a queen size bed in her room. Or is that going a little too far? Then again the two of them did only meet each other the other day... But she loved him.
Taking a deep breath, Rayne looked at Scott. "Alright, I am going to go to bed seeing as we should be moving early tomorrow morning," Rayne said with a smile. She still didn't know what to tell him about the sleeping arrangments.

| QUOTE | | Alright, I am going to go to bed seeing as we should be moving early tomorrow morning |
"K," Scott replied, "well I guess I'll be on the couch." He knew relationships took time. But the amount of time depended mainly on the woman, at least from what he had noticed. So Scott decoded to play it safe and stay on the couch, mainly because he didn't know what Rayne wanted. He smiled at her as he stood up, maybe he would test the water first. "That is as long as you don't have another idea."

| QUOTE | | Well I guess I'll be on the couch. |
Good, Rayne thought looking at Scott. He made the decision. Getting to her feet, Rayne walked across the floor towards the door that led to her room. She was happy that he figured the sleeping arrangements out. She didn't have to say anything. Rayne turned the door handle and pushed the door open.
| QUOTE | | That is as long as you don't have another idea. |
Rayne's eyes widened slightly as she stopped before entering her room. She still gripped the door handle. What? She thought as she looked inside her room. She had to think of something to say before she turned around to face Scott again.
Taking a deep breath, Rayne turned to face Scott. "No," she started before continuing. "That's fine," She looked at the floor before looking back up at Scott. "Alright, good night," Rayne said as she turned around and walked into her room shutting the door behind her.
With her back against the door, Rayne looked straight across the room at herself in the mirror. The wall that her bed was against was all mirror. She took another deep breath as she pushed off of the door and towards the bathroom.
She was happy that she had chosen to keep Scott on the couch. As much as she felt the love for him, she didn't think throwing herself at him was the best thing to do.

Scott fully expected the answer and kept the smile on his face. "Night" He called back as he removed his boots and sat on the couch again. The day had been Hell and he was looking forward to getting some sleep. But it was for a different reason, he had agreed to go on the mission tomorrow and he needed to be as close to 100% as possible. Undoing the velcro straps on his newly acquired vest, Scott took it off and laid it next to his boots. Yawning, he laid down on the couch and closed his eyes. It took a matter of seconds for him to fall into the unconsciousness known as sleep. END ((OOC: Continued HERE ))
