Group: Super Moderator Posts: 2,097 Member No.: 22 Joined: 1-May 04	Got this from one of the egroups I'm on: The New Worlds 4 Convention will be held at the Rockwell Tent area (in front of Rockwell mall), from April 21 to 23, 10 am til 9pm. No details that I know of yet other than this, but more should be forthcoming within the next few weeks. ^___^

Graphic/Fiction Awards details of the said NW4 event are still under wraps ^^ @presea yep ^^ New Worlds = Sci-Fi Con ^^

New Worlds Alliance

The New Worlds Alliance was founded in 2003 by seven local science fiction and fantasy fan groups: Via Astris - The Star Trek Club of the Philippines, Star Wars Philippines, The Philippine Tolkien Society, Pinoy Harry Potter, Pinoy X-Philes, Pinoy Slayers, and The Alliance of Eclectic Gamers and Interactive Storytellers (AEGIS). Its aim is to provide a venue for Filipino science fiction and fantasy fans to interact, hold activities, and express themselves and their love for their respective fandoms.

New Worlds is a Sci-Fi and Fantasy convention where scifi and fantasy groups join together and celebrate and promote their fandoms ^^

hoe? hoe? blink blink Group: Admin Posts: 5,663 Member No.: 3 Joined: 29-April 04	@geneakizuki i'm sorry to say but afaik toku is not qualified for the sci-fi/fantasy cosplay unless there's a sentai/toku group which would be approved by the council to be part of the New Worlds Alliance @ sylph and RetsuMarippe yep ^^ there'll be a cosplay for New Worlds but it'll only be limited to Sci-Fi and Fantasy genres...in short, it'll be a Sci-Fi and Fantasy cosplay category @ ahichu_nilved afaik...there won't be any entrance fee but don't take my word for it 'coz nothing has been finalized for NW4 @ Dukesa hai hai ^^ Star Wars cosplay is definately qualified for the NW4 cosplay ^^

Group: Admin Posts: 2,906 Member No.: 7 Joined: 30-April 04	Hmmm, i just realized MEchaPinoy is part of the New Worlds Alliance ( http://www.newworlds.ph/groups.html ) , so that means all types of mecha can be cosplayed. yey! But then again, machines from Star Wars can be deemed as mecha, so no wonder its part of the alliance. But does that mean, Super Robots are allowed? Or Sentai Robots?
