Simon the Digger Group: Elite Member Posts: 1,134 Member No.: 582 Joined: 2-March 05	well this time for sure its a real remake and not just another "remastery dvd.. etc etc.." http://www.evangelion.co.jp/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebuild_of_Evangelion its gonna be a four part movie with some new characters and a slightly different plot direction and ending.. well he new logos definitely updated a bit and i definitely cant wait to see unit01's new design my thoughts on this.. (well ill just [copy] what i posted on another forum) [paste] xD ---- i remember being stuck to evangelion for 3 years since i first got a hold of it back in late 97 if i remmeber correctly.. mustve seen the entire series at least 30 times... >_< well life goes on an you move on.. soon i began to realize like most that we were totally screwed with the ending. they cut the tv abruptly an pushed out some movies.. yeh they were great during its time.. but they scrapped the storyline somewhere inbetween and took the epic way out. while that really doesnt leave us with a smooth ending, it definitely made its mark and made it VERY memorable. that said, i dont mind seeing it again in a different light.. hopefully characters new and old will give us tired old fans an acceptably decent ending with less of the angst of our younger years.. and hopefully even lesser girly screaming by shinji.. man.. i know it cant be helped since his seiyuu is a girl but DUDE.. be a frigin man for once.. i mean all he did was scream and cry during the end of eva.

"Evangelion New Theatrical Version") is an announced tetralogy of animated films in the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. In September 2006, the October edition of the Japanese anime magazine Newtype first reported that the new cinema series "Rebuild of Evangelion" would be released in the summer of 2007. On September 9, 2006, GAINAX's official website confirmed that "Rebuild of Evangelion" will consist of four movies. The first three movies will be an alternate retelling of the TV series (including many new scenes, settings, backgrounds, characters), and the fourth movie will be a completely new conclusion to the story; the series is intended to be much more understandable and accessible to non-fans than the original TV series and movies. On February 17, 2007 Anno released a statement in a form of a movie poster that was shown in 50 cinemas in Japan, providing an explanation for his motivations in pursuing a new take on the franchise and stating a release date for the first film in Japanese theaters September 1, 2007. According to an article in the February 2007 issue of Newtype USA, the first movie will end with Operation Yashima, an incident that takes place during Episode 6 of the original Evangelion TV series. The article also states that a brand new character to the Evangelion universe will be introduced in the second installment and that some of the differences between the original series and the new movies will take advantage of 3D CG technology not available when the series was produced back in 1995.
