Darvhurst Academe RPG General RP Rules: ------------------------
1. As always, no spamming. No one-liner replies please. 2. Always remember to remove your signatures / sig pics in the threads. There's an option for removing that on the page where you post. 3. No explicit / hentai situations. In-game romantic relationships are cool, but keep it PG 13. 4. You may add OOC (Out of Character) posts, but make sure that these posts have something to do with your rp interactions with the other players. Don't go out of topic. 5. Only two characters per player (one student character, and one teacher character) I suggest that you play a student first before trying out the teacher, because teachers require a little more patience and commitment to this roleplay.
About Darvhurst Academy: ------------------------ Located at the heart of the EvaNexus, a realm at the heart of an inifinite number of dimensional portholes, which makes the academy accessible to students from varying timelines and dimensions. More about this academy itself will be explained in the first official rp post.
School grounds:
1. Dormitory - separated into the male dorm building and the female dorm building, although a large central sitting room links the two buildings together. 2. Dining Hall: breakfast is served promptly at 7 am, lunch at noon and dinner at 6 pm. 3. Godfreed Park: Twice the size of a football field, the Godfreed Park also boasts of a small fountain, and the Drychynth: a lake though, boasting of a large variety of edible fish, is not often explored by students and faculty alike, and strange sightings of odd creatures lurking below the surface as one ventures deeper out from its shores have been reported. 4. The Glen: a solitary mausoleum on the southern most borders of the academy. Many of the deceased faculty members or famous alumni rests within these walls. 5. The Absininthe Library: A large five-story building that houses almost every conceivable book written. Students often choose this place for study groups, or even pick out a quiet corner to sleep for an hour or so. Run by the strict Miss Mellenkamp, loud Noise in all kinds and forms are prohibited. 6. Stores: Small stores that range from school supplies to ice cream parlors to sweetmeat shops are found west of the academy's grounds. This is also a popular place for students to take a break from the rigors of the academe. 7. the Vault: The place where confiscated or blacklisted items are stored. Sometimes valuable, important and controversial items have been known to find their way temporarily into the Vault, depending sometimes on the whim of the academy's beneficiaries. high levelled magick traps and security alarms have been installed here, making the Valut nigh impenetrable. Students are not allowed here. 8. The Gazer: A large marble dome situated in the middle of the academy, named so because of its ability to open up its roof for scientists and other scholars to view the stars above. While many of the classes that require mobility are conducted here, it is also not uncommon for parties, celebrations, and other ceremonies to be hosted here as well. This dome overlooks large grassy lawns called the Gazing grounds, for its proximity to the Gazer. This area has been bewitched so that students who come here to practice their magic will never be able to harm their fellow students.
School Rules
Firstly, magical abilities and fighting of any kind for any reason whatsoever are banned within the academy unless supervised by an instructor. Students will be severely punished for their first offense; put on probation for their second, and expelled on their third.
The Academy has the most advanced security system known, and the corridors are constantly patrolled by orc guards at night. Inter-dimensional mail are dropped off every morning during breakfast. Students are also permitted two visitors a month. First and second year students have a ten o'clock curfew; other year levels have a midnight curfew.
Do NOT wander beyond the campus school grounds. The EvaNexus is easily unstable beyond the campus gates, and wandering past them may transport you into a new dimension entirely - possibly one that hasn't even existed yet.
Finally, remember the First Rule of Magic: Sento's Law of Dual Repercussions. The more abilities a student tries to master, the lesser power these abilities possess. The lesser abilities a student chooses to learn, the more powerful they become. This is why the Academy wishes to stress the fact that students try to choose one specialty that they are familiar with, and stick with it, to minimize magic burnout.
Also remember the First Collorary to the Rule: Every magic casted will always have an opposite - and sometimes dire - consequence. It is therefore advised to limit magic usage, and learn as much as one can about one's chosen field of expertise to limit casualties.
RACE These are just brief descriptions to help you get an idea regarding what kind of special skills you guys have. you don't need to follow them though: I said for example, that elves lack strength, but you can still have them be strong and study abjuration.)
- Human average abilities. Have low to medium aptitude towards magic, but often excels in physical activity and are basically creative and good with their hands.
- Vampiric Of a race of, or possessing, vampire / undead blood. Vampires are greatly discomforted by sunlight though they are not mortally affected by it, and have low tolerance to light. Highly intelligent. Misconceptions about their like for drinking blood still persists, though false; vampires and the undead need no sustenance, although they enjoy the taste of food and drink.
- Elven Of a race of, or possessing, elven or other fae blood. Often tall and slender of stature, and easily swift and graceful. Easily discomforted by loud noises, and are well-versed in magic, though somewhat lacking in strength. Also maintains close communcal contact with spirits of nature.
- Celestial Of a race of, or possessing, angelic blood. celestials often make the most excellent healers, although there have been those who also excel in combat. religious and deeply spiritual in nature.
- Nephilim Of a race of, or possessing, demonic blood. Often a secretive race and prone to be unfriendly at times, they nevertheless excel in magic and spirit control as a whole.
- Lycanthrope Of a race of, or possessing, beastial / animal blood. Possesses high affinity for animals and often good warriors, although not known for their magic abilities.
- Preternatural Of a race "not in accordance with nature" This includes orcs, goblins, trolls, dwarves, halflings, among others. A notable characteristic among them is their strong endurance and ability to go long hours without tiring. Often categorized as extremely strong, possibly the strongest of all the races, although not much in anything else.

BASIC Classes
All students are required to take the following subjects:
1. Comparative history - talks about the history of most of the known races, along with basic concepts in magic and beginnings 2. Ethics - studies the philosophy of morality 3. Basic Mathematics - basic algebraic formulae and number theories 4. Basic Self-Defense - learn how to defend yourself 5. Languages Theory - learn different languages and study world literature
Specialized classes
To better prepare students for college, graduate school, and beyond, the Academy also offers special classes that help students further the skills of their choice. These classes offer five prepatory courses: alchemy, conjuration, elementals, healing, and abjuration. (If the class is marked as REQUIRED and in color red, you will take this class if you choose this course as your major)
Note: Classes among freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior classes will be conducted at once, although each will have different levels of study. For example, Trasmutation classes will have freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors in the class, although they will have different degrees of study, depending on their level. Some sophomores may have a higher level than juniors if they are better in the class, and will be taught more complicated topics, as another example.
A. Alchemy Alchemy was initially an ancient science used to study the structure of temporal reality, the most popular study of which was the attempt to turn simple metal into gold, and the attempt to find a universal cure for all known diseases. A basic understanding of chemistry, physics, metallurgy, mysticism and religion are required to further pursue a career in alchemy.
1. Transmutation - theories regarding changing inanimate objects into something else. REQUIRED. 2. Physical Alterations Theory - discusses the nature of objects and basic notions regarding how to alter them. this includes the notion of changing the physical form of human subjects, though given the nature of the class, only minor alterations will be practiced. 3. Metallurgy - the study and construction of metal, including but not limited to ecxtracting metal from ores, smelting, refining and even construction of mechanical devices 4. Basic Polymorphing - allows several transmutations at once within the same object. This applies not only to inanimate objects, but also to living beings, to a certain extent. 5. Potions - the study of making and brewing concoctions
B. Conjuration Conjurers specialize in suummoning spirits and other creatures from differnet planes of existence to be used to accomplish a certain mission. Students Interested in varied anatomical studies, mysticism, and a long patience are encouraged to take this course.
1. Basic Summoning - This includes hand gestures, proper usage of words, and general guidelines that every neophyte must know before summoning. REQUIRED. 2. Astral Planes theory - discusses the different currently known astral planes in existence, along with the types of spirits and creatures in each. 3. Beastial Anatomy - studies the physical anatomy, temperament, diet, powers, etc. of summoning creatures. 4. Magickal items - Construction of items to both increase your summoning abilities, and help imbue some of the summoning creature's powers into yourself 5. Spirit Control - study regarding how to control creatures once summoned, along with discussions of the limitations and dangers that come with summonings.
C. Elementals Elementals are basically powerful magic attacks that control a certain element of nature. Students interested in pursuing this course must have exemplary powers of concentration, a retentive memory, and determination to constantly practice their spells; this is easily one of the more exhausting studies that allow little free time.

Introductory Water Spells - basic water spells 4. Introductory Earth Spells - basic earth spells 5. Introductory Air Spells - basic air spells 6. Charms and Curses - learn simple buffering spells such as spells that can aid you, or spells that can hinder your opponent 7. Spell Limitations Theories - learn the restrictions and dangers that come with every spell
D. Healing 1. Beastial and Humanoid Anatomy - studies the physical anatomy, temperament, diet, powers, etc. of a wide variety of creatures. 2. Introduction to Healing - simple healing spells and first aid as well as instructions on how to find and store your ingredients.REQUIRED. 3. Herbal remedies - Simple natural extracts are still one of the best medicines there are. Learn different types of herbs and their healing properties together with how to concoct remedies for general illnesses. 4. Dangerous Medicines - realize the ethics behind creating medicine that harms rather than heals
E. Abjuration Primarily concerned with the study of defense and protection, although this skill is often a common characteristic with adventurers. Unlike most of the other specialized classes, abjuration uses only minimal magic, more than making up for it with exemplary physical prowess. 1. Offensive and Defensive Arts - includes disarmament, self-defense, swordplay, and basic instructions in several kinds of fighting arts REQUIRED. 2. Defensive Magic - also known as "Shield Magic"; discussions regarding magical protection 3. Tactics and Strategy - discuss general military tactics and strategies of different races and extensive primary sources.

Teacher Character Application
I will be strict with teacher applications; I will only accept people who are familiar with roleplay, and who can commit to this rpg, because teachers will be a little harder to play than students. You can apply as a student first, then if you have enough experience to see how the teachers are supposed to be played, you can sumbit a teacher application.
As a teacher, you DO NOT NEED to roleplay teaching your subject matter, since you might have to research on those and may not have the time to. ^^ This is just optional for your part, but you do have to roleplay being a teacher and conduct very simple classes that do not need much information about the subject, or you can make up things as you go along, as long as it fits the subject ^^.

Ok, this is my student character, and surprisingly the first one here.
Occupation: Student
Name: Altair Betelgeuse
Age: 18
Race: Human
Physical Description: Quite tall for a normal boy. Layered, brownish, neck-length hair. His left eye is colored light red, while his right eye is colored sky blue. Has a slim, but not quite chiseled, physique. When not wearing his uniform, he usually prefers to wear a brown leather jacket, with a black t-shirt underneath, a red bandanna around his neck, a pair of black workman's gloves, dark blue denim pants, and a pair of light red sunglasses.
Personality: Has a cold, dark surface, but is actually hiding his emotions. Always prefers to work alone. Often sleeps in class when he feels so. Has a bit of a rebellious attitude. He's also a bit disrespectful of his senior and teachers. Tries his best to avoid fighting whenever possible.
History / Background: Altair Betelgeuse was born and raised in a colony on outer space named Cassiopeia. His father was a mobile suit pilot serving for the Earth Forces. When he was 7 years old, he began to show the signs of the Newtype, a breed of humans who has developed strong psychic abilities due to living in space. After noticing this, his father, who is also a Newtype, began to teach him how to control his Newtype abilities and to regulate them.
September 23, A.C. (After Colony). It was Altair's 18th birthday. Cassiopeia was invaded by an unknown fleet. Six Zaku Warrior mobile suits and one Zaku Phantom mobile suit then attacked the area in which Altair lived. Altair, his mother, and his brother tried to seek refuge in a covered area, while his father, in his GM III, tried to fight back the invaders. During the battle, the GM III in which his father was in got completely destroyed, thus his father died. Before Altair could completely lament, the family quickly sought another refuge. But it was too late, as his mother and brother are hit by falling debris. Before his mother died, he revealed something to Altair.
It turns out that Altair is a Coordinator, a genetically-enhanced human. His mother is actually one of a group of scientists who perform genetic enhancements on unborn babies. When his mother was pregnant, she asked a group of scientists to perform a genetic enhancement on the unborn baby. The result was Altair. After that, his mother got buried into more debris.
Altair could not contain his anger and sadness. The lost of a whole family was too much for him. Thus, his Seed was triggered, and he became berserk. He then returned to his father's GM III, and somehow learned to pilot it in an instant. Then, in an uncontrollable rage, he laid waste on all seven Zaku mobile suits, and then some. Eventually, though, Cassiopeia was destroyed.
Altair was then taken up by a scientist named Dr. Elaine Windsfield, incidentally, one of the scientists who performed genetic operation on Altair. She saw the whole event, and she explained to Altair what just happened. Altair just entered his first Seed Mode, a special ability exclusive to certain individuals, which triggers when the individual is induced with extreme emotion, and grants the individual a dramatic increase in fighting abilities. However, during that time, the individual would be berserk, and will be in a state of killing frenzy. Also, once it wears off, the individual would feel extreme pain, caused by overworked muscles.
She then told him about a strange university by the name of Darvhurst University, a university who exists into another dimension. She suggests Altair to go there and study, as it is for the best.
Upon arriving on Earth, Dr. Elaine and Altair then requested Anaheim Electronics engineer October to construct a new RGZ-91 Re-GZ for use with Altair. Dr. Elaine also requested October to install the new Re-GZ an space-time distorter system that allows the Re-GZ for interdimensional travel, a bio-computer system, so that Altair could pilot it with little or no training at all, and a psycoframe system. Why did Elaine requested October to install a psycoframe is still a mystery to Altair.
After a few weeks of training on the military, Altair is now ready. The new Re-GZ, the RGZ-91-I Re-GZ Custom, is also fully constructed. Altair pilots it, and heads to EvaNexus, where Darvhurst University resides.
Currently, the Re-GZ Custom and it's B.W.S. (Back Weapon System) resides in The Vault, hidden from society.
Grade: Grade 9
Major Specialized Class: Abjuration
Specialized Classes Taken: Abjuration - Defensive Magic, Tactics and Strategy Alchemy - Metallurgy, Potions
Special Abilities: Seed Mode - A state or condition that Altair can enter when he's in battle (in any form) and when he feels an extreme emotion (mostly anger or sadness). In this state, Altair's pupil changes from color black to color gray, and his fighting abilities in every category (power, speed, skill, reflexes and sometimes magic power) are dramatically increased by 2x it's normal capacity. The only drawback to this state is that Altair will became berserk and uncontrollable while in Seed Mode. Plus, after wearing off, Altair will feel intense pain in his body due to his muscles being pushed to their limit. The condition lasts for one minute.
Psychic Force - Being a Newtype, Altair also posseses strong psychic abilities, but his usage is only limited to telepathy and telekinesis. It also comes at a fatal price; the stronger the psychic power Altair applies, the more strain it induces on his head, causing severe headaches.
This character is still a work in progress, especially the Special Abilities section. I'll update this character soon. I might add the complete specs of the Re-GZ Custom somewhere when the RPG progresses.

5. Personality: Aloof with magic users, tend to insult them, loves machinery, over-confident, indifferent, hates bugs, dogs and werewolves.
6. History / Background: His true backround is only known by the school dean. What everyone else knows is that he is the eldest of 3 sons by a famous sorcerer. The dimension where he came from no one knows for sure although his manner of dress seemed reminiscent of the inhabitants of a world called El Hazard.
In his 3 years in school, he resides either at the clock tower in summer then in the boiler room in winter. To earn his keep, he provides maintenance to both, at the same time he mops the campus hallways, maintains Godfreed Park, cleans the Dining Hall and dorm bathrooms (which he would loudly complain that it wasnt part of the deal, and tries to skip them whenever he can).
He smokes when the teachers arent looking.

Special Ability: Chaos Field (curse): Any player or NPC conjuring magic within his aural field (10 feet radius) will have a 50% success rate and often causes feedback. Wolf Pheromone (curse): Any female player or NPC who is a werewolf or has traces of wolf's blood will be attracted to the character. The higher the ratio of wolf's blood inside a person, the greater the attraction. Strangely, true wolves are not affected, they must be human to begin with. High Survivability Rate: Can mysteriously survive massive amounts of damage or attacks thrown at him (very useful against over-zealous werewolves looking for some unwanted hot loving).

Personality Childish, loves to brag, is conceited, dislike crowds and socializing, has unusual fondness for sweets (displays un-nephilimic traits after eating/begging for some sweets), Dislike being told what to do, Greedy for money, Loves to sleep, dislikes competition except with his brother (Bullies and other scums are in his blacklist), Loves blood and gore, often talks about death (and sweets), and loves to teach innnocent young kids evil. He may act like a child, but when it comes to personal matters he turns serious.
History / Background Creid's father, Lord Gravenheist, was a General in Nephilim's Majestic War and his father led the Nephilims into victory. As a token of gratitude, the king of the Nephilims gave his father his own continent to reign upon.
56 years after, Lord Gravenheist was becoming weak and decided to hand his throne to his heir. Creid is the chosen heir of the Gravenheist clan. He was to rule their continent but His brother, Sarvoul, became envious of him at the same time outraged for Creid was untrained and inexperienced in battle. Sarvoul challenged Creid to a battle and defeated him easily.
Dissapointing his father, Creid was declared an outcast and was banished away from their land. Since he was banished, he decided to hide his horns and try to hide his nephilimic ways.
Thinking that it was a sweet revenge, he decided to destroy his own brother using armed combat and without using any offensive magic.
Creid doesnt care about the heirarchy of their family anymore, he is much more focused on revenge. Though, he plans on taking over the family riches (he doesnt care about the people in his continent) and spend them all on candies and other sweets. Before leaving his realm, he "borrowed" some of his family riches (since he's from a secret clan, his family riches are considered priceless.).
Creid once trained in a training school in the realm of the Preternaturals but was eventually kicked out for stealing all the sweets in this training school.
Creid then travelled from realm to realm in search of training until he stumbled upon Darvhurst Academy.

6. History / Background: Saruwatari Taiki was born with a silver spoon. His dad and mom were the owners of the Saruwatari group, which also owned various computer hardware and software-making industries. Other than that, he also had a very good talent when it came to composing rock and pop-based music. Thus, whatever he wanted, he got. Well, almost everything. He hasn't found himself a girlfriend... yet. However, he never seems to get lucky.
Anyway, when he was 16, he decided to join Aoi Vision, which was a small J-rock band he and his classmates made. Aoi Vision easily became famous worldwide and sold millions of their first album named after their band just 6 months after it was released. Taiki did get his dream of girls being drawn to him like they were when there was a 50% off sale at the local mall, but something seemed... missing. Even though he was flanked by fans here and there, he wasn't able to find that 'one' girl he wants to be with. So, while Aoi Vision's goal was to release another album, Taiki would also be looking for that 'one' girl that he could actually share things with.
However, that wasn't the case. On his 17 birthday, his mother and father revealed to him that instead of sending him to Tokyo University like what they said they would(all of Aoi Vision's members passed the exam so they could still be together even in college), they would send him to a certain Darvhust Academy. You see, Taiki's mother was a sorceress before she met his father, and she thought it would be a good idea for their son to learn the magical arts aside from his desired Electronics and Communication Engineering course. Although Enraged, Taiki finally agreed to the proposal, though it would mean that he would leave Aoi Vision. But, he promised them he would return after he's finished studying at that place, and he'll return to Aoi Vision, become a very famous J-rock star, and perhaps finally meet that 'one' girl he's been dreaming of.

He studied the forbidden arts of alchemy and with his honed intelligence of scholarship, he continues to learn in order to master his newfound art. One fateful day after memorizing the transmutation circles with his mind, he decided to perform the Great Art, the creation of the Philosopher's Stone. Although it is theorized that there are two ways of creating a stone, both to use the power of the human soul. He theorized that after being the sole survivor of Vallemont, through the Principle of Alchemy Conservation and the shamanic techniques taught by the barbarians, he has imbued the souls of the dead into his right arm. He used himself as the host and transmuted himself to possess the Philosopher's Stone. The effect backfired and transported him to the Gate of True Knowledge. During alchemy rituals, he wears a black monk-type hooded cloak with an ensignia of alchemy at the back. He always carries his special laptop and his weapon, a special hybrid ether-summoning gun that he created using his alchemy skills.
His Hybrid Ether-Summoning gun uses special magic bullets that releases powerful magic spells to its target. The gun also uses summon bullets that contains powerful summon beasts. These bullets are products of a very rare hybrid of Holy and Dark Alchemy. The gun's main/primary ammo are ether bullets which is non-elemental and unlimited that is produced by the gun itself and it doesn't require any reloading but ether bullets are weak compared to magic bullets and summon bullets.
Personality:
Gunther is a kind, friendly and a gentle being who loves magic and technology and tickering them. He always like to hangout at quite places like The Absininthe Library where he reads his fave literature and using his laptop computer, Godfreed Park where me admires the nature around him and sometimes meditates. At night, he hangs out at The Gazer where he gaze and admire upon the starry night sky. He loves to gain more knowledge and wisdom. He's a kind of a person who always smiles even at the battle field.
History/Background:
Gunther was once a disciple of Guru Clef right after the Cephiro incident. He learned summoning, elemental magic and of course alchemy under the tutulage of Guru Clef. He left Cephiro when Guru Clef has taught him everything that he knows and Guru Clef told him that he could gain more knowledge/wisdom if he travels. Guru Clef also told him about EvaNexus where Darvhurst Academy is located and it is a good place to start his journey in search for wisdom (Guru Clef was one of the great alumnis of the Academy).
Before he got to EvaNexus, he traveled to the world of El Hazard where he once worked with the engineers who developed a weapon called "The Eye of God." He learned Dark Alchemy (a forbidden alchemy practice) which was used to create "The Eye of God" from the El Hazard engineers. He was a prodigy when it comes to Dark Alchemy and he was also the one who developed the core dimensional engine of "The Eye of God." He didn't know before that his designs will be used for military and destructive purpose and it was too late that when he knew about it and Dark Alchemy's true purpose. He didn't want the El Hazard engineers to create more destructive weapons so he stole back his designs and a prototype dimensional core engine called "The Heart of Deus" which is a smaller and much more powerful and efficient than the "The Eye of God". "The Heart of Deus" is a weapon that could create an artificial dimensional black hole that could devour not only dimensions but also time itself and instead of matter going through it, matter will be drawn to it.
When he reached EvaNexus and before he enrolled to the Academy, he surrendered "The Heart of Deus" and its plans to Darvhurst and requested to seal it to their Vault and must be never ever be spoken of again.

History / Background: Not much is known about Gabriel's past aside from the fact that he was one of the very few known survivors of the Zero Hour- thus the nickname given to him. the Zero Hour was one of the largest inter-dimensional tragedies ever occurred- destroying over hundreds of planes. it was believed that the once 10 year old lad traveled through broken chains of space and time continuity for 7 EvaNexus years before setting foot in the current realm. With the various experiences and encounters that he had in the previous planes, Rei has no single idea of his real life before the catastrophic event. Rei is followed by a popular rumor of having access to the Vault without detection to access secret files and there were reports of secret interrogations and possible tortures from the authority because of this. Dual Repercussions: Clairvoyance (a sixth sense that alerts the user to instinctly avoid incoming attacks or sense danger) - clairvoyance is realized a few seconds before the actual attack; the closer the attack before clairvoyance is realized, the harder to avoid despite knowing that the attack is coming. (this will depend on how close and how fast the opponent himself is) Power level: Strong
Increased Agility and Dexterity - no repercussions Power level: Strong
