Day 25, afternoon

Data looked over the files on his desk, flipping through pages quickly. The other scientists definitely did have a lot to say about this subject, and they weren't particularly good things. It was no doubt that Gary Lime was an especially dangerous subject, and difficult to control. Unfortunately, he was also one of the few subjects that had progressed so much. That made him more difficult to deal with. Data gave a sigh, though it was barely even audible.

The scientist stood up, moved toward the intercom, and pressed the button.

"Gary Lime, please proceed to the underground bunker immediately."

The voice, almost robotic in tone, echoed throughout the complex. Data opened a desk drawer, slipped the files in it, and locked it shut. He then left his office and locked it, too, and made his way to the bunker.

This was not a good day for Gary, not at all, not one bit, no. Gary felt like his skull was being ripped apart, but it regenerated infinitely and never teared so there was just the agonizing pain. To top it off, he felt odd, he now had not one, but two voices in his head and his face had changed. G's right eye was now red while the left one was still blue, and the right side of Gary's hair was dark purple while the other side was grayish. It had become very difficult for Gary to recognize which thoughts were his, and which actions did he take, in fact he wasn't sure if it was him walking towards the bunker, or one of the two others.

"Convenient" Gary mumbled, when he arrived at the bunker's entrance and the door was open. He shook his head and entered, closing the door behind him. "You summoned me, your eminence?-" G rubbed the right side of his forehead and closed his eyes for a moment. He cleared his throat and looked at Data, "I.. I'm Gary Lime. Something urgent you need me for? Numbskull!- That is rude! You should- Shut up, you pansy!- No, both of you shut up!"

G sighed, and coughed. Then smiling a little, he said; "Sorry about.. uh.. this, we're having a little family trouble today. Kids don't want to play nicely together." He let out a dry chuckle. "That wasn't funny, idiot."

Data was silent for a moment, assessing the situation. Three different personalities, all vying for control?

"Mr. Lime, it is my job to help you control your powers. You have been progressing a great deal, though your actions are... disconcerting. I will help you learn to control your abilities, and give you advice on how to reverse your transformation, if you so wish. And, I will also try to help you control your other personalities or eliminate them completely."

Data paused for a moment to let it sink in.

"However, I am only able to help you if you are willing to accept it."

Gary was quiet for awhile, crossing his arms. "I must say, having some control would be very nice. Nowadays I can't be sure when I'm in control of my body, instead of.. uh.. them. And honestly, the thought is frightening. Not to mention what the strain of having three fully independent consciousnesses, inside my head could be doing to my brain."

"Yes, that is why I recommend you order him- uh, us, an.. what was it again? EKG you twit. That's for the heart, you twit. No what I meant was an EEG, yes? That is how you monitor human brain activity and all that, is it not?" Gary rubbed his forehead and sighed deeply. "At least a way to shut them up, would be very nice- I used to be able to handle them speaking inside of my head, but now.. Now I don't know which words are my own, and I hate it that they can speakwe can even interrupt him mid-sentence. Hahahah! -See what I have to put up with?"

[Data]

Data gave a slow nod, as if he wasn't at all bothered by G's behavior.

"I see. It certainly does seem... chaotic. If you have been feeling a great deal of anxiety, I can have medication for that brought in, as well as medication to address the problems you seem to be having with your anger. I will also only address you, Gary, and none of your other personalities. I suggest you advise others to do the same."

To Gary, calling his condition "chaotic" seemed like the understatement of the year - Then again, Data had no idea what it was like; To G it was like being trapped inside a very small room, with two little children more intelligent than most people, but too petty to stop constantly arguing with each other, G was only so lucky that these two seemed to shut up whenever he fell asleep. Yet, Gary didn't make any remarks and just nodded in agreement. "Noted."

He looked at Data and scratched his left temple, "Well, I don't think I'd describe it as anxiety.. It's more like.. confusion.. Though, I'm not sure what problems you're referring to? If it's that.. incident at the food court you're talking about- That wasn't about anger. I was just trying to stop that man from slaughtering anymore people.. Your people, in fact."

[Data]

"I am referring to your multiple attempts to kill Ice and your continued attack of Jeremy Reed after he was incapacitated by Kindle."

Data paused.

"I realize that you were trying to stop him. However, any sort of aggressive behavior from anyone must be handled. Anxiety is also a symptom of dissociative personality disorder, which you appear to have."

[G]

"Tell him it's identity disorder, not pers-Shut up, you nitpicking sissy or I'll.." Gary took a deep breath and ignored the voices in his head, as best he could- "Alright, I admit there has been moments when I've had.. difficulty controlling myself. Times when I'm suddenly overcome by anger and rage, and it causes me to lose control- Become someone else, with me only being capable of watching as my body takes actions I normally wouldn't even consider.." G scratched the back of his head and hemmed, "But if this is part of your.. experiment, and the transformation, why would you want to subdue it? I mean I thought the whole point of you trapping us here, was to see the transformation unfold."

[Data]

"We don't want subjects to lose control of themselves," Data answered. "We certainly want to see... changes, as you said, but not changes that cause people to lose control. I am here not just to help them harness their abilities, but to assist with other problems if needed."

Of course, there was a lot that was currently going wrong with this, but that didn't need to be said. Data assessed Gary, just... watching, as if he had the solutions to everything just by looking at someone, or that doing so might just solve a problem pertaining to that person.

"You may want to practice anger management techniques if you only lose control when you are angry. Being in control of your anger should let you keep control of yourself, naturally."
