ISLAND RULES
These rules have to do with the in-game limits and freedoms within the RP's setting, the mysterious tropical island.
1. It is impossible to leave the island.
The Omnipotent took extreme caution in securing the island, due to the powerful nature of the creatures that would be created there. Subjects attemping escape will find that a mysterious force stops them in their tracks after a few hundred feet into the ocean or air. The source of this force is unknown, and if the scientists know anything about it... they aren't talking.
2. No pokemon are allowed on the island.
For the safety and security of the experiment, no pokemon are permitted on the island. Even in the Field Area, the wild pokemon have been removed. They have not yet been able to control pokemon populations in the surrounding water.
3. There is no accessible internet or television on the island.
For obvious security reasons, the only internet on the island is through the network that The Omnipotent uses to communicate with the scientists. For the subjects, television and internet are simply not available, although the computers in the Research Laboratory have an extensive non-online database of scientific and legendary pokemon information. UPDATE: Kindle has been installing new Omnitech television sets all throughout the Living Quarters so that messages can be relayed to the subjects digitally. There is still no functioning reception or gaming capability, simply a cycling few announcements and reminders that periodically change.
4. NPCs on the island are free for players to control.
The following NPCs are present on the island: lab assistants, chefs, janitors, and hospital assistants. These NPCs can be brought in at any time, are controlled by the player that brings them into a thread, and they are fully expendable.
5. Subjects can bring a number of personal belongings with them.
Subjects are expected to bring clothing, any desirable bedding materials, and necessary medications. They are also free to bring writing materials, journals, laptops, gaming systems, and other personal items. As stated in rule #2, subjects may not bring any pokemon with them, nor can they bring any other living things.
Thank you for reading the Island Rules. This is the last rule thread that you are required to read.
You still must read all threads in the Program Information forum before joining, and it is highly recommended that you read the Avatar Guidelines and Legendary Guidelines for information on what kind of avatar you may use and what legendary pokemon are open, respectively.
