Terms of Service

By registering on this forum, you agree to abide by and follow the InvisionFree Terms of Service. Faillure to abide by these terms after you agreed to them will result to warnings or a ban. Please read the Terms of Service before registering, or read them at the following page:

Flaming - 1-5 Warnings

Flaming, or insulting other members in any way, is not allowed. Flaming will give you 1-5 warnings, depending on the severity of the flame. It is up to staff to decide when a flame has crossed " that" line. Offensive language is allowed, but do note that this site is open to people of all ages, and some people might be offended if you use excessive language. Deliberately posting in a way that will anger/ annoy your fellow members will also now result in a warning. Think about the way you post. Also, as per the IVF terms of service, extreme use of offensive language isn't allowed.

Spamming - 1 Warning

Spam, or Short, Pointless, and Annoying messages are not allowed. Spam is:

-Short messages (one sentence or less)
-Pointless messages (posts that have nothing to do with the topic at hand)
-Off-topic messages (see pointless)
-Etcetera.

Repeated spamming will result in warnings. The rule will be counted extra in Mushroom Rock.

Posting of inappropriate content - 5 warnings

Posting of offensive or inappropriate content (images, text, links etcetera showing or describing pornographic actions, suffering, abuse, etcetera) is not allowed, (see the Terms of Service as well) and will lead to 5 warnings and a possible ban, depending on the situation and amount of material posted.

Usernames and Double Accounts - 5 warnings

Offensive, racist or inappropriate usernames are not allowed and will result in a forced name change. If you are unhappy about your current name, Please post in the " Name Change Thread". Double accounts are not allowed. Please stick to a single account. In case of a double account, the second account will be permanently banned and the original account will receive 5 warnings.

Plagiarism - 5 warnings

Using or posting the works of others, and either claiming it as your own or not giving proper credit, will be considered plagiarism. When it is discovered, the material will either be removed by our staff, or you will be given the chance to give proper credit. If you do not remove it or give credit, you will receive 5 warnings and the content will be removed nevertheless.

Advertisement

Advertisement is only allowed in 2 places: Your signature, and the Advertising section. Any advertising outside of these areas is prohibited. This includes unwanted advertising via PMs and emails. Inviting a friend over to another board is allowed, but mass-PM/Émailing random members is not. Also, advertising for personal gain (for example, advertising an Ebay auction of yours) or anything of monetary value (like free ipods etc) is not allowed.

Reporting rule Breakers

If you see any of these rules getting broken, please report it by using the Report button. Reports will remain anonymous at all times.

If you think there should be a specific rule added, PM the Admin. The PM should contain the new rule and the reason why the rule should be added.

Suspensions

When you reach certain warning percentages, your account will be suspended and you will be unable to post for the duration of the suspension. If you make another account during your suspension, you will be treated according to the double account rule, and have your suspension lengthened according your current warning percentage.


The warning points and the according suspensions are as follows:


1-3 nothing
4 equals one day
5, two days
6, 1 week
7, 2 weeks
8, 3 weeks
9, 1 month
10 gone

Signature rules

Signatures are allowed, but they shouldn't be too large. Your signature should (roughly) comply to these rules:


- Max 3 standard-sized banners (around 400 X 100 )
- Max 1 large image/banner (double banner height)
- too wide banners are not allowed (the ones that screw up the layout)
- Max 500 text characters (set by the board, no need to worry about that)
- No Flash files (also set by the board)
- Average height should be around 400 Px


Advertisement in signatures is allowed, as long as it's not breaking any of these guidelines.

Staff Override

If the staff find any member doing something that they believe is wrong but is not in the rules, that member can still be punished accordingly. But if you feel you have been hard done by take it up in the help section.
