Boarder road, From Lorca to Hikari plans

Rose smiled and said, "Well I grew up with mass murderer parents a psycho for a sister and a cat who was interested and smoking all day.... No not really. I was given up for adoption by my mother and was adopted by a woman named Ariel who I think of as a mother. One day my birth mother sent this mirror in the mail to me with this book and the next few days cloaked men came trying to take the mirror away from me. I did not let them so I left my family to insure that no one else would come looking for the mirror and hurt them in the process. I am still curious who my true mother is and I'd really love to find out where she is so I could meet her. SO what about you and your parents?"

The blonde was quite, well shocked how straight forward and willing Rose was about talking about her past to a still complete stranger. Thean Max simply had that charming aura so it wasn't that unexpected that women would tell theme everything about themselves to him.

"Wow... well my old man was a bastard and got himself killed, and my mother killed herself after my old man's death. I'll leave like that the details aren't needed." Max said simply with a sour look on his face.

"But what am I worrying about your past for, it doesn't matter to me, the past is behind us and there's nothing we can do about it, so we might as well focus on the present." Max added throwing a grin back onto his face rather forcely.

Jeisu looked at Max and then away from his pal, deciding he wouldn't interrupt the conversation, chances are Juno would do so soo enough.

Rose smiled faintly, and pulled her book back out and continued read. While she read she said, “So what kind of stuff do you guys do for fun?” Rose felt a little bored and so she just continued reading and waiting for a response to her question previously asked.

"Alot of things..." Max said as he could thing of all the less the morally proper things he did to have a good time. "Though right isn't the time for fun and games, we need to make sure we get to the shrine of heroes as soon as possible. Though I suppose we'll pass by KorinMachi on the way, I'll show ya a good time when we get there. I would at Raisatsu but I'm a city boy so I don't know what I'll be able to do at small town like Rasatsu." Max said as he rubbed his nose.

"Besides showing the ladies my impressive power, after a nights worth of drinkin' and foolin' around."

"I don't have fun," Juno said with a flat warning to cut the small talk in his voice, "Max however likes to get drunk, lure women away to remote locations with a group of 'adventuring buddies' and engage in intoxicated acts of group sex."

Juno stood, waiting for someone to respond before continuing, "When he isn't being a pedophile to poor Yulesta here..."

Now he'll either shut up, or fight me and I'll shut him up. I've got more important things to do then be slowed down by him trying to get some action.

"RAWR!! I'll kill him... no bettr yet I'll show him up a hundred fold." Max thought as a visble flame sparked in his eyes.

"Oh really? I didn't know I did that, damn you seem to know me better then I know myself. It's not my fault that don't like to angst and would rather spend that time having fun, but I guess that makes me a dog, oh well. I'll least this dog has got bite behind his bark!" Max said as he jumped ahead of the group thrusting his right hand foward to motion them to stop for a moment.

"At least when I get moving on the right path I don't hold back and charge forward, and even the acient guardians of Kooron acknowledged that yo!" Max said trying to stir up an ominious feeling from his words.


Jeisu sighed as he slapped his forehead. "What has gotten into Sir Max lately....since he ran off ahead he's been acting really hyper to say...almost the same boostful manner he displays after robbing a teenager of her chasity..." Jeisu thought thinking the worst.

"Now watch in awe, as I Max the great lightning knight of Inazaumami show the power granted to me by the heavens above in recongition of my greatness to be!" The blonde said in an awfully cliched sentai hero tone of voice, as he thrusted his left hand upwards. Coviently enough from where the rest of group was standing Max's left hand aligned perfectly with the sun to create an even more cliched hero pose.

The blonde proceed to form a fist, as smirk was on his face, and showed his backhand to his comrades. "Now be the first to witness, the awesome power granted to me!" Max shouted only to intensify the mood.

"There's no glow from the crest....damnit..." Max thought as felt stupid for a moment. Right before he was about to pull his hand down and try to pull off his stunt as a joke, a golden glow appeared from his fist, and the crest of lightning made itself very apperant.

"Haha, behold I Max Wi.... Max the amazing lightning knight of Inzumami have been granted the lightning crest." Max said as he lowered his fist to chest level, awaiting the responses of his comrades who would have no choice but respect him if he was choosen by the lightning crest.

"I swear if Juno makes one more smart as comment, I'm totaling going to zap his &%@."

Yulesta took a step back, eyes widening slightly at the sight of the crest. She brought up her right arm, shielding her eyes... even though the glow from the crest wasn't really bright enough to blind her, it still gave her a strange feeling.

"What...?" she mumbled.

Almost as if in response to the lightning crest, a murky blue glow became visible on Yulesta's right shoulder... and a dark brown-ish color radiated from the elf's hand on the same arm.

Max was a bit dissappointed he didn't get any raving approval's from his comrades though that feeling quickly left as a murky blue glow appeared on Yule's shoulder, and then dark brown glow on her hand on the same side.

Like any good big brother that was worth anything Max and Jeisu quickly moved toward Yulesta kneeling down to see if she was alright. The blonde place his hand on Yules's right shoulder with his left hand.

In a mental flash that seemed like several years, the blonde saw Yulesta's life from her point of view and at the same time his experiences were probably witnessed by her.

"Whoa.."Max said as he looked at Yulesta giving reassuring grin.

"What was that?"

"That was you, losing your damn mind," Juno walked past Max and patted him on the shoulder, "It is okay I understand."

So he has been chosen by the lightning crest... Maybe I should watch out for him... A little...

Yulesta's normally emotionless expression now held some confusion...

After a moment, she asked, "... niichan1... what was that?"

(1)Niichan is a way of saying brother... and it's not necessarily always used just for brothers.

Yamatori jerked his head back, irked by an odd feeling, and the fact that he seemed to be walking ahead of the group. He aught sight of the crest, and then turned forward, putting his knuckle to his chin.

...Ohh no. No, no no no, no. This guy has the crest? Why not someone else? I mean, it's quite more preferrable than someone with evil intentions. I'm going to have to report this to Kulutas.

"Change of plans. Sorry guys, I've gotta go...uhm...I think I hear the tea kettle boiling back at my house." Yamatori jumped over the group once again, and ran back to Kaein.

The blonde pocketed his left hand his pants, and gave Yulesta brotherly hug. "I saw what you've been through... " Max whispered in a cool voice. "I won't let Yules chan stay alone ever again." Max said, he figured that Yulesta had probably had a similar experience.

Jeisu looked surprised at Max's change in attitude, but was distracted by Yamatori word's and then running away from the group. Jeisu chuckled "I guess the soft side of Max is just too much to handle for him." Jeisu joked.

A flood of emotions suddenly came over Yulesta, as the events that had happened to her all her life suddenly came crashing down... the feeling of so many emotions was confusing for her, and tears gathered in her eyes as she suddenly leapt forward and grabbed onto Max's vest; burying her face against his chest.

"O-oniichaaaaaan~!" she cried out, tears pouring down her cheeks as she held on tightly.

"She called me Oniichan... " Max thought as Yulesta called out Oniichan and cried in his arms.

"Ahh...Yules..." Max said as he held Yulesta in his arms, like a little sister. "Yules chan~ You can always cry in my arms, I'll be there for ya." Max said as there was a small crack in his voice.

"Haha...I'm getting all choked up now. So this is how it feels to be an older brother? I can see why Tatsumi is soo protective of Kasumi now... Max thought, "Just let it all flow out, I'm here for ya." Max said very reassuringly.

Jeisu looked at Max and Yulesta and turned away as he closed his eyes and wipped them. "I'm just watching Max and Yulesta bonding like brother and sister here...and it's making me choke up and teary eyed. Max is much better at keeping himself from tearing then myself..." Jeisu thought.

Something definately strange about everyone in this group. That girl especially, and Max too. Everyone here looks like they have something to hide...

"Kids..." Juno sighed silently and kept walking, not waiting for the group.
