The shop area is a nice, big place with shelves lining the side walls. The shelves contain many assorted items. There are also tables around the room, also containing items. On each and every item is a price tag, with a price suited to it. On one side of the front door (which rings a bell when opened and closed) is a nice big window with a sign in the corner, which has OPEN on one side and CLOSED on the other. In the back of the room is a counter with a cash register and radio, and behind the counter is a pair of chairs, as well as a door which leads further into the building. The storage room is a neatly organized room which contains more items that could be for sale (and some that aren't). Access to the room requires permission from the owner or his assistant. The kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom each contain stuff that one would typically find in those rooms. The kitchen also has a door which leads to the backyard. This door is normally locked. A general map of the building is below.
With the owner, Thief, out wandering around the town for a bit, his current assistant, Kupek, has been sitting on the counter. The reason he sits on the counter is because he's not tall enough to look over the counter in one of the chairs. Kupek currently has some music playing on the radio, and he has been humming along to that music for a while. What a nice day today...

Kupek looked over at the door when he heard the bell ring, and watched as a woman, dressed in some interesting black clothing, entered and approached the counter. Upon hearing her question, the moogle looked around the shop for a moment.
"Well, um," said Kupek, "there's so much stuff here, that it would be kinda hard for me to pick just one thing, kupo..."

Kupek watched as another person came in, this one a man with red hair, wearing a suit. The moogle listened to what the man wanted.
Alcohol, eh? I'm surprised he didn't go to a bar for that. Well, he's obviously old enough, so no need to check for ID...
"Ah, of course," said Kupek. "We keep that in the storage room in the back, so no kids can get at it. Just tell me what kind you want, and I'll go and get it!"

"Coming right up, kupo!" said Kupek, leaping off the counter to the floor behind it.
Kupek made his way through the door leading to the kitchen, then turned left and walked into the storage room. In there, the moogle looked around for a moment before seeing the alcohol section. He used his little wings to float up to the shelf where the bottles were located, and looked over each one to see which could be considered the "hardest stuff" here. As soon as he saw one that he thought would fit the description, he took the bottle and floated back down to the ground. Kupek walked all the way back to the shop area, and used his wings to get himself back onto the counter, bottle in hand.
"Here you go," said Kupek. "The price is on the tag there, kupo."

Paine arched an eyebrow and turned to where the moogle and Reno were standing.
This is certainly an odd place to get alcohol when there's a bar down the street... He must really be desperate, she thought as she turned back to examining an elaborately decorated dagger hanging on the wall.
She thought for a fleeting moment that maybe Cat would like something like that, but then reconsidered. Her boss would never use it, and what was the point of buying a practical weapon that wasn't going to ever see any battles?
I suppose I could use it... She tilted her head, considering the idea for a moment. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have another, less conspicuous weapon equipped for emergencies.
She reached out her hand to tug on the price tag a little. Her eyes widened at the price. It was rediculous, really.
Well, so much for that idea... I guess I could always use a kitchen knife.
Slightly disappointed, she left the store and headed back to the bar, not even bothering to say goodbye to the moogle.

Kupek almost stumbled off the counter in surprise when Reno shouted. He was momentarily stunned as he heard what the man said next.
"Um, okay, then," said Kupek, taking the bottle.
The moogle floated back down to the floor behind the counter and made his way back to the storage room. He flew up and put the bottle back where he found it, then looked along the shelf for some Chocobo Elixir. Kupek found a bottle of that, then took it and brought it out to the counter, placing it in front of the man.
"One bottle of Chocobo Elixir, kupo," said Kupek.

As Kupek kept humming to himself, the door once again opened. This time, it was the shop's owner, Thief, returning from checking out the town for a while. Kupek saw him, and stopped humming.
"Hey, boss," said Kupek.
"Hey," said Thief, heading towards the counter. "Did I miss anything here?"
"Not really, kupo," said Kupek.
Thief made his way to his seat behind the counter, as Kupek shifted over to another spot on the counter.
"What do you think of the town?" asked Kupek.
"It's interesting," said Thief. "The Crooked Dagger seemed like a cool place, and I've seen some interesting people there. I also got to meet its owner, Cat. She seemed really nice."
