Well, here it is, a step-by-step list of instructions on how to join FFR. It's pretty basic, really.

1. Read this topic. Clearly, you've got this one covered, so you're on the right track.
2. Check out the rules. They're right next to the Portal link under the banner... y'know, where it says "Rules and How to Join." Most of the rules are common sense, so you shouldn't have much trouble following them. Remember, the most important rule is to have fun, and if you don't, I'll shoot you.
3. Think about what characters you might want to play. (Actually, you should have done this before, but I needed to stick this one somewhere.)
4. Look at the Claimed Characters topic to make sure the one you want hasn't been claimed.
5. Register.
6. Post in the Character Applications topic. You can reserve a character if you don't have time to write up a full app. just now. If you wish to be an original rather than a canon character, please look at these topics:
   - Original Characters
   - Creating a Good Original (for goodness' sake please read this one)
7. Create an ability set for your character, submit it to staff via PM, and once it's approved, post it in Abilities.
8. Check out the RP Introduction forum, read up on everything in it, and get started in the RP.
