Falling, clear and white
I peer, mesmerized at it
A blizzard forming
Rising arms, defiant
Proud, strong, and ever eternal
Naked tree bark shown
I stand, engulfed in
A storm, ice forming, within
And without my soul
How fitting to see
The chill, the snow, the sorrow
They weep, but for whom?
A thousand white swords,
Wind, water, warmth consumed to,
Form such cold beauty
My hand, rests on the glass
For but a few seconds, yet,
I lose all feeling
The screech, as it falls
It blossoms, warm and crimson
Defiling the snow
I lay peacefully
White beneath, and white above
But soon, it is black
He rests, lost forever
Humming bulb laid low
Eternal sleep in ice
