Lights dimmed, the horizon was blanketed with a star-lit cover, and a single light source outside from the third rock from the sun lit half of its full belly.
Angels seemed to cast shadows against the walls, hidden behind the scattering of bugs at the heat source of the lights. Upon the window of a store, part of a series of many, there stood a painting. Mashed with colors dark and disfigured, many would find it merely a painting mashed with pain. For this lone child, it was more then such. Dispair. Suffering. Chaos. Why did these terms play at this childs mind? He himself, now in the night of the unknown world, felt himself not even a he. He was a ghost of history, planted on a island to live upon. New York was the city of dreams, yet he was yet to find it. What more could he do then stare longly at the painting? Wishing one day, the imprint of emotions within would break, and he would find hapiness behind the mash of memories that toyed with him? This lone child would be strong, but being a child. He was scared. Every passing second and minute and car or person would pass by, his spine chilled. Every whisper of wind crawling upon the building walls made him quiver with cold and fear. The night was his horror, and sleep he loathed the most. For he always dreamed nightmares. Within sleep he could not see the hidden angels of the night, nor the peace of a normal life. All was as the painting was, his mind trapped within a frame frowned by many onlookers. When could time tell him for better? He knew not, but as he traveled his contiuous journey to find some reason in life, his suitcase in hand, he hoped to find home. Maybe some onlooker would find this ragged clothed boy had stared for nearly a hour at the painting before leaving. Maybe this person would approuch the body to comfromt him from the memories of eons. Who knew. He was just a boy. -Can I deem myself worthy of life?- -------------------- Emotional
